Made reservations for Christmas Eve. 3 people. Would have been 4 but the fourth recently passed away. So we made the reservation for 3. They were concerned because they only wanted to book parties of 4 or more. Wanted 6:15p but they insisted we come in earlier. 5p. Received a call today. Can you come in at 4:30p instead? We want to make sure you have enough time to finish your meal before our other guests (the 4 or more parties) arrive. We decided to stick with 5p. Sounded like they'd rather have us for lunch. WTF?! They said are you sure that's enough time to eat? Never felt so unwelcomed by a restaurant in my life!! Called back 10 minutes later and cancelled. Told them as much! Will never set foot in the place again. BTW: Found another restaurant who was happy to have a 3 person group come in on Christmas Eve!! Looks like our new go to Italian place in the area. read more

We had the most delicious dish today. Gambori di Saronno--Fresh Shrimp , Mushrooms, grape tomatoes and 2 tender chicken breasts over a bed of linguine in the sweetest Amaretto Cream Sauce ever! I love a sauce and chicken and vegetables and shrimp. It was so wonderful and I am not a big foody who can hardly remember what I ate--but that dish, I will. The server was so pleasant and we even talked to Mauricio who owns the clean, and lovely little restaurant. Loved the olive oil/ parmesan cheese dip for the fresh bread prior to the meal. It's a shame! Won't be going back! We had a reservation for 4:00 on Valentine's day. They put us in the back room even though there were many tables available in the main room. We've eaten there plenty of times but that's the second time that this has happened. It made us feel like outcasts. Tried to rush us through and again the restaurant was not full. She told us we would need to order since it would take a half hour for the food. I'm so disappointed to say the least since the food is very good. The service not so much!! read more

Our server, Vilma, was very good. The burrata appetizer, Italian wedding soup, complementary bruschetta, Salmon Al Limone, New York strip special were all excellent. Where there is room for improvement , the bread was just okay and the chocolate cake tasted like it was from a bakery. We have been here at least a dozen times. Every meal has been exceptional. Our two favorite appetizers are the burrata cheese { which they do a couple of different ways), and the calamari. Both excellent. We have had to many entrees to list but our favorites are the chicken fantasia and just about any fish dish. Never been disappointed. Family owned and the service is great! This place should have a line out the door. The food and service are exceptional. There were six of us and each had a different entre and all raved about it. One of the best Italian restaurants around. I had the penne vodka and it was by far the best one I have ever had. I stopped at the door to the kitchen and gave a thumbs up to the chef who shortly thereafter came out to greet us and thank us for coming. This is run by the family with the owner being the chef. Tried for the first time on Wednesday for my sister's birthday- it was so delicious! This is not a chain restaurant, it has an intimate atmosphere and you can taste the time and skill that the chef puts into your meal. Our server was so sweet and refreshingly cheerful. This place is AWESOME. Their Italian cuisine is superb -- and varied enough that I could eat there every delicious day of the week without a repeat! The wait staff is friendly, terrifically efficient, and they all know the ins and out of the cuisine thoroughly. They're a pleasure! The restaurant in Jamison is not large, but instead is deliberately arranged to accommodate a smaller clientele that they can expertly cater to. We enjoyed our experience so much previously that we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. Mauricio kindly accepted our reservation. His lovely daughters were waiting tables. They are adorable. So engaging and sweet. We started with calamari. Delish! We both decided on the linguini pescatore in white wine for our main. The seafood was super fresh and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a tiramisu for dessert. It was offered on the house for our anniversary. Nice touch. We ended with limoncello. Paradiso has proven to be consistent, which is important and appreciated. The food at Paradise was excellent and the ambiance inside was fine. Do not be fooled by the exterior of the building. Our server Catherine was an excellent server. The not so great part was the other waiter John that we did not have thankfully!!! He was so loud and obnoxious we could not hear the specials from our server and it was difficult to have a conversation. It will be unlikely to return if John is working that night the dining room is small, no way to avoid the noise and nonsense of this person. read more

Quaint little bistro on York Road. Our group of friends decided to have dinner as we saw on their website a nice package offering for an appetizer, entree and dessert for about $25. We were seated and upon looking at the menu asked about the package. The server told us that was a promotion that had been cancelled over a month ago. Problem is, you're STILL advertising it on your website and THAT was a major factor we had decided to come to your restaurant. I get it, we could have picked up and left at that point, but we didn't, so put that on us, I suppose. The service was very good and friendly, the meals we ordered were OK. Just OK - not bad by any means, but we have certainly had better and for the pricey menu, we had expected better. Ended up running everyone about $50 per person when we had walked in expecting it to be half of that. Oh by the way........ $7 for a cup of coffee. REALLY???? Anyway, live and learn. We won't be back. UPDATE: We still have an issue with our original disappointment walking in expecting to get something that was unavailable, but I did notice that after our complaint about the bad website information, this company did change their website - so it may have been a legitimate oversight. read more

We have dined several times before making a recommendation but without reservation we can recommend Paradiso to others. The food is fabulous, the service unmatched, a true diamond in the rough. We have also had a large group of 12 there and everyone has raved about it. Even the picky eaters. I would recommend dining on Wed. / Thurs. as it is less crowded but also gives you a much more intimate experience. Ask for John as your waiter as he is very funny and an excellent source of information and a great talent for pairing dishes to your preferred tastes. I have never had a complaint about his recommendations - they were spot on! read more

I have visited Paradiso several times now, whether on a date, girls night or with family. The food is always full of flavor, presented with style and portions are just right! Service is not lacking in the least. Val and John are always happy to assist and provide proper attention to each guest. The restaurant is a BYOB. You bring the beverage and they will NOT disappoint with the food! We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner/chef Mauricio (Fabreezio lol) last night.
