When we got there the hot tub was broken I called the owners several times but no one returned my calls or texts. they knew the hot tub was broken, but didn't let us know. what I did eventually get was a notice that they would credit me a portion of my $500--they credited me $15. yes, 15 bucks! How insulting! this was our 20 year anniversary and the only reason we got this place was for the hot tub. we were so disappointed we will never rent from Portoro blue vacation rentals again. Smudges and stains all over the kitchen, walls, TV and carpet. The bathroom mirror in the master bedroom Had splatters all over it it was surprising how dirty this condo was. Even the fridge had fingerprints and smudges on it. Covid is still a thing people. Unprofessional staff did not respond to our complaints. Did not support the reservation so I checked out within and hour. This vacation rental company is so bad Airbnb gave me a full refund. As you can see from the numerous reviews since COVID, this company has taken advantage of its customers - many of them being long-time customers such as ourselves (13 rentals!). (sort reviews by "newest first") We also had to cancel due to having multiple families coming from various parts of the country; many with underlying health conditions. It was one of the most painful transactions we've ever dealt with. We weren't even asking for a refund - we asked if we could apply our payment to the home the following year. Not "per the contract". COVID didn't exist when the contract was agreed upon! Rude, would not return calls, would not abide by the guidelines set forth by Oregon's governor. Our own family made the decision to vacation in Sunriver alone, without the rest of our family. We called a few other property management companies, along with VRBO - they ALL had very lenient cancellation policies during this pandemic. Ended up using "Village Properties at Sunriver" - very gracious and helpful with our many calls. Also, we found after renting from a different company, the "clean up" mandated by Blue Pacific is ridiculous! This was the first year, the only thing we needed to do was take out the trash and start the dishwasher - done. Not the case with Blue Pacific. The housekeeping fee BP charges would indicate a spotless home upon arrival - it's "surface" clean but never feels real clean. Blue Pacific is not local and not nice. The house was nice and clean and view of beach was amazing. But they offer internet and we had none our entire stay. Called the office and they sent someone who fixed while we were gone still not working when we got back. Called office again and basically told me everyone around us has internet so it was weird we didn't, uh we'll all four of our phones would not bring up either network and neither would their tv's. If I could give a zero I would. We had rented something before COVID-19 hit and were supposed to stay during April. We called before we were to go and told the company that it was not going to be feasible to go during the height of the pandemic. One reason is the food shortage that was occurring, the no travel ban and we had five people in our group who were considered high risk. We explained this to them but they would not refund our money. After fighting with them for almost a month we decided to try to rebook for October. Now we are in the same situation. There are fires near where we are going to stay, the air quality is not good and Oregon is only on phase 2 of reopening. I have asked this company for the cancellation refund which would mean we would only get 75% back. They refuse to give any back. I do not recommend going through this rental place. read more

We tried to book for 2021 but they wouldn't let us and only offered us half our money back. Then they went and rented out the house we booked to someone else so they now are making "DOUBLE RENT" on this house for that week. This predatory company is MAKING MONEY OFF COVID! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BLUE PACIFIC! Like other Yelp reviewers who dealt with Blue Pacific during the COVID-19 pandemic, they absolutely stonewalled us and refused any reasonable accommodation. In July 2019 we paid a deposit for a week at a Sunriver home in July 2020. The balance of our payment was due March 1, 2020 so the total amount paid was close to $11K. During March and April, we inquired about the status of our reservation due to the escalating pandemic. Each time we were told "We are only addressing reservations prior to May 15", which was the date the County of Deschutes was going to rule on short term rentals. On May 15, the county opened up short term rentals which Blue Pacific took as a signal that they were off the hook and everything was a green light. We pointed out we had multiple families in our party (so having everyone under one roof posed a risk), that we had one party traveling from the East Coast, a few people in high risk groups, Governor Brown still had a "Stay at Home" order, etc. Whitney's response (the office manager) was simply: "The county has approved short term rentals and we will ensure your property will be thoroughly cleaned". They considered themselves absolved of any responsibility to do the right thing simply because the county was allowing short term rentals. We requested that our reservation be moved to 2021 since they already had our total payment. They refused. I want to point out that we have rented regularly from Blue Pacific. The last five visits to Sunrviver we have rented a large home each time from Blue Pacific, so we consider ourselves excellent customers. We always paid on time, respected their properties, left everything the way we found it, were never charged for damage or paying late etc. In return for customer loyalty we were treated like dirt. Whitney even tried playing amateur psychiatrist with us when we pointed out all the surrounding COVID circumstances making a Sunriver vacation in 2020 a less than desirable occasion. Her response was "You sound like you have a fear of traveling." Good grief, there is a pandemic going on, we should all concern ourselves with staying safe and minimizing risk. Don't rent property managed by Blue Pacific Vacation Rental. We've rented a Depoe Bay property four out of the last five years. (The Lighthouse) Never needed the management company until this trip. The unit was short several items such as TP, Kleenex, hand towels etc. We politely informed Blue Pacific. We received a very rude response stating that all items were stocked in the unit and insinuating that we must be either stupid, lying or both. Eventually the staff came with the missing items, but what a huge hassle! And no apology! We will never rent another property managed by this company.  They have earned their 1.5 Yelp rating. read more

We rented from them for a birthday weekend. Among other properties they manage some just North of Depoe Bay at The Village at Northpoint. The unit we rented was 'Paradise Regained'. All three of my sisters from , TX, GA and TN had come to see me, my wife and daughter, so we needed a very nice place. They are world travelers and are used to nicer digs. One has had a condo in Hilton Head, SC for as long as I can remember. So I was worried about the accommodations, since I have never really been impressed with the often dated and sometimes shabby offerings up and down the coast. This isn't to say they're all bad, just my prior experience. But the pictures on their site were nice, so I was feeling optimistic. We booked and got confirmation email with the key-code and instructions; no check-in/check-out hassles. The price was a bit higher, but it was worth it for this special time and split among the adults, made it a bargain. Getting loaded in was easy and parking plentiful. Although we were on the first floor, they had an elevator and big cart for luggage. This place was super nice. Very nicely furnished; not dated, plenty of room and great views. The kitchen was roomy and exceptional. We had all the accoutrements we needed for cooking in, so you can save some $ on going out for every meal. Just hit the grocery and stock up. We have a waterbed, so for me the master bedroom bed was a bit hard, but our other guests were happy. Master bath was super nice with a huge jetted tub and near-zero-entry shower. We tried to use the gas fireplace, but the wind had I guess extinguished the pilot...yeah it gets windy at the coast. So I called them and they got right back, but weren't able to send anyone out. Unit had in-floor heating, so we got it warmed up quickly enough, so not too big a problem, although that's a nice touch. The kids in our party of 8 loved the clubhouse pool and we enjoyed the back deck (bring camp chairs, if you want more comfortable deck chairs). This area is not very built up yet, so it was super quiet at night, just the ocean. Saw a few seals swimming by. And whale watching boats paused in our view, so assume they were out there, too. However, it's not too far to anything, short ride to Lincoln City, Depoe Bay and nice beaches to the South. This is a condo, i.e., someone's vacation home, so there are typically some requests they make for your departure; gather trash, start dishwasher and a load of towels. This is not the place for getting your party on, at least not late. Some units are residents. One cool thing they do is provide a seashell and marker for you to write your name on, to add to a collection of guests who've enjoyed this very nice rental. Only knock for me other than the bed and fireplace, was that there were some dusty areas, tops of picture frames, etc... Just needed a little more detailed cleaning added to the regiment. But this was far nicer overall than any other place we've rented. Didn't have the bad experience of the older reviews, so think they have stepped up their game... read more

Terrible company!!!! We are so disappointed in this company! We have rented a Sunriver home from them several times, but this year we had to cancel due to some legit high risk family members. It was a tough decision as we were very excited to stay in the Masters Lodge. Once we made the decision Blue Pacific took aggressive action to keep as much of our money as possible. They gave us 3 days (a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) to choose from two really bad options, a 50% refund or roll the dice and hope someone else books our week for an 85% refund. This policy is simply terrible. No other rental companies in Sunriver took aggressive action like this against their customers. We checked them all. We opted for 50% back, but they never sent the money violating the agreement. It's been several months and still no refund. Looks like we'll have to take our own aggressive action to make things right for our family. The home we rented cost us over $10k for the week. They still have that money even though we never took the trip. What a fraud! Avoid these guys at all costs. They are taking advantage of the Covid situation to line their own pockets. Who does something like that? We've already booked our 2021 Sunriver trip with another rental company. I made a reservation through VRBO for a luxury rental in Sunriver, OR. The reservation was confirmed and my credit card was charged on Tues. Thursday I received a phone call at work from Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals - the host- claiming there was an error in the rate charged. I was at work and unable to discuss the matter, much less understand the fast talking representative. I requested they email me with the details. A series of emails ensued, with Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals providing a vague explanation of "the problem", but explicitly offering a different total cost, excluding the VRBO fee. Today, Sun, I had a chance to look at the situation and called VRBO for their assistance. VRBO requested I forward them the email that included Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals "offer", which is a violation of VBRO's policy. I was put on hold while Blue Pacific Vacation Rental was contacted by VRBO. After a few minutes, VRBO returned to the call, and said Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals mentioned they were "uncomfortable" with my reservation, and canceled it. Wait...what? Blue Pacific explicitly violated the terms with VRBO by trying to renegotiate the reservation and cut VRBO out of the transaction, but they are uncomfortable with me? Wonder if they were uncomfortable using the $2.8K for 5 days? BEWARE! Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals' business practices are unethical. I'm thankful I had the sense to involve VRBO and avoided dealing with Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals directly. read more

Don't rent from this company!! Had no hot water and when I told them about the issue was told it was not an emergency and someone would call me during business hours, no one did. I had to call them and was told someone would get back to me during the regular work week (as this was a Sunday) didn't here back from anyone until Tuesday . When they called they offered no apology for having no hot water during the duration of my stay, only to say they would not be compensating me for the huge inconvenience. When I tried to voice my displeasure with their handling of the situation she hung up in my face. When I called back she said that they were going to report me to Airbnb for abuse and threats even though I never once threatened or abused anyone.I believe it was just their way of trying to scare me out of calling them anymore! I have rented many vacation rentals on many platforms and I have never in my life been treated with such unprofessionalism. They way they have handled reservations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is deplorable and 100% devoid of human compassion. I signed a contract for a large Oregon vacation home through Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals...the house was called Lone Pine Lodge. I rented it in the Fall, 2019 for July, 2020. The contract stated that I would have until March 1 to cancel my reservation and if I did so before that date, they would only keep a fee of 15% of my deposit ($600)...I assume for Blue Pacific's time and effort. Because of the virus and our expectations of limited summer travel in the U.S., our family decided to cancel on 2.27.20. I called and talked to Whitney at Blue Pacific and she suggested insurance (it was expensive). I called back on 2.28.20 and talked to Lisa at Blue Pacific. I told her we were definitely cancelling and not buying the insurance. Lisa became agitated with this and told me that we were cancelling last minute and the homeowner was not going to like it. Lisa said that we would not be welcomed to rent again with Blue Pacific because we cancelled so last minute. Now, it was Blue Pacific's contract that allowed a cancellation before March 1....and the rental week was 90 days out on July 4, hardly last minute!!! I had also learned from Whitney that they had been receiving many other cancellations that week before March 1. I could understand their frustration, but what was extremely unacceptable and what prompted this very negative review was that Lisa told me they were charging 15% of our total rental amount ($1500) versus the $600 that was in the contract. I told her that the contract stated 15% of deposit-$600- and Whitney had confirmed $600 the day before. She insisted it would be $1500 until I let her talk to my attorney, my husband sitting next to me. After we told her we would be fighting that legally, she then changed it back to $600 but again told us we would not be welcomed back to rent from them. Please don't let them keep more than 15% of deposit if you are cancelling! And I hope the homeowners see this post and how this management company is treating your potential renters. read more

I would strongly suggest that you seek another company to rent from in Sunriver. We have been to Sunriver 9 to 10 times and have rented from Blue Pacific ("BP") roughly 6 times, however we were very disappointed with how the Covid situation was addressed by BP. We reserved the Master Lodge over a year ago and had to make a full payment by March 1, which we complied with as we had done in the past. This is a great house, though pricey, so our one week rental cost was close to $11K, which we gladly paid in a timely fashion. Given that 5 of the people in our original group are in the high risk group due to age and two had to travel from Boston, we felt it was prudent to first try and cancel the reservation, which was denied. We then attempted to move the dates to 2021. Given what we thought was a favorable history of renting from BP we thought they would, at the very least, move the reservation and keep us as a client for future rentals beyond 2021. We were given the option of re-listing and they would try and find a new renter or walk away from the $11K. We choose the lesser of two evils and re-listed. A few weeks later we received an email providing us a few new options, one being a 50% refund, a 15% reduction in fees and 1 or 2 other options. None of them were very favorable, and were advised we had 3 or 4 days to accept one of the options. To this day we are not sure why the decision had to be made in that time frame, why could we not wait to see if the house might not be re-rented increasing our refund?? It seems one of the other Yelp reviewers had the same issue or concern; BP retained the 50% from the original renter and the money from a subsequent renter. We were also disappointed by the fact we would not receive a 100% refund of the cleaning and resort fees for a house we were not going to occupy. We checked the website of two other rental agencies and they were offering their renters a 100% refund up to 2 weeks before the rental date. When we relisted in Mid May, we advised BP they had authority to rent out the house up to 85% of our original fee and if there were any lower offers to please contact us; we were never contacted by BP. We first dealt with Whitney at BP, then the owner Lisa Farrow and then their attorney Shannon Raye- Martinez at Saalfeld Griggs. We were very upset when their attorney stated one of the reasons BP was not able to re-rent the house was our inflexibility in the price; yet they never contacted us once about any offers and had listed the house for a 40% discount on VRBO. We have great concerns about the credibility of the people we were dealing with, which surprised us greatly given the prior relationship. At the end there were no other renters and we begrudgingly accepted a 15% discount and our party of 12 become only 5, and a 85% financial loss for the other 7 people who could not attend. Why would renters and property owners deal with BP??? Perhaps it is the owners of the Masters Lodge who are so unreasonable. read more

We are staying here at the Pacific Winds Condo's in Lincoln. Unfortunately lasnight we were kept awake by the people upstairs in unit 21 by someone that sounded like they were wearing led boots pacing back and forth from 11:30pm to 1am. We called the rental company that are unit is rented from. The gentlemen who I have spoken with on several occasions he is a very nice man from Keystone rentals. He understood are dilemma and is very professional. His name is Chris. We understood that the unit above is a Blue Pacific rental. So we took it upon ourselves to call BPR and spoke to a very unprofessional by the name of Whitney. Long story short she stated that she would contact the people in unit 21 and that she would call us back. We waited for several hours and decided to call her back. Her tone was rude, unprofessional, unconcerned and came across with a GASLIGHTING attitude. She stated that she has never has recieved a noise complaint in her many years at BPR. She also stated that she lives here in the building. She also stated that she did not know a Jarrod (who is the onsite HOA maintenance manager) We did are research and have come to learn that Whitney also is a liar. Whitney made my friend and I feel like we were wrong for calling in a complaint and made us feel like we were being gaslighted. Not something you ever want to experience especially staying in a luxury condo and paying a small fortune. And not a good feeling that we were woken up by a person who constantly is pacing for hours that sound like they have led boots on. We will definately make sure that we will NEVER rent a unit from Whitney at Blue Pacific Rentals. Unfortunately upon arrival we noticed the carpeting in the unit was heavily stained so we immediately contacted Blue Pacific vacation rentals and notified them of the issue along with pictures.After talking with Whitney who was extremely rude she seem very annoyed by our complaint.This year we made reservations again for a different unit online.Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals denied the reservation because of our complaints from last year. We have stayed there many years in the past have always been very respectful of the neighbors and the condominium. I hope the owners at Pacific winds will consider a different management company. Appalling customer service from Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals!  Upon arriving we noticed the unit was missing several items that had been supplied our previous 3 stays.  (A few extra rolls of toilet paper, Kleenex, ample towels and washcloths etc.)  We requested these from Blue Pacific.  We were shocked by their response.  We were informed that their staff photographs everything after stocking a unit for the next guests and had "verified" that the unit was fully stocked. Seriously?  We just paid this woman $2,492.68 and she has the gall to question our integrity over a few rolls of toilet paper?  We calmly informed her that we had looked in every possible location and the items simply were not there.  While we were out of the condo her staff brought the missing items. (They still did not bring the Kleenex...)  Rather than admit their omission and apologize, Blue Pacific had the audacity to send this follow-up text; "Our staff member was able to come by and verified supplies in the bathrooms. The additional towels, handtowels, and washcloths were in the bathroom cupboard/drawer and double checked. She was also able to verify both restrooms were supplied with 2 additional rolls of toilet paper under each sink as per the standard starter items for all units and verified each bathroom had kleenex on the counter."  Does this woman think we are blind?  My husband and I don't get upset easily, but this really struck a nerve.  To treat a customer this way, especially over so small an issue, is the epidemy of poor customer service. (I would expect more from a Motel 6!) This, along with their dismal rating with the Better Business Bureau is ample reason to stay far away from this company. read more

For our anniversary, my husband and I rented a condo for two nights in Depoe Bay, OR through Blue Pacific. It was very expensive - $175/night plus all sorts of taxes and fees for a grand total of $495. We went back and forth on the price but ultimately decided to splurge for the special occasion. The day before we were to leave, heavy snow started falling in Portland and much more was forecasted for the weekend ahead plus freezing rain. We felt it was far too dangerous to cross the mountain range to get to the coast and we weren't sure we would be able to get back home at the end of the weekend. We contacted Blue Pacific to see if they would let us re-schedule for a different weekend and they said they would give us a "discount on a re-booked stay in the future." So we lose our money now but can try again in the future at a discount...that's just wrong. They also said "given that there are no road closures and weather is not something we can control, per our policy we are not able to issue any refunds." I'm fairly certain we have no control over the weather either and I bet they wouldn't have attempted to cross the coast range-open roads or not. Losing nearly $500 is a hard pill to swallow and it was very disappointing and frustrating how this company refused to work with us. We had a ask for at least the cleaning fee to be refunded as we weren't even there to mess up the place. We got back about $61. I will never do business with Blue Pacific Vacation Rentals again because they are greedy and don't care about their customers enough to do the right thing. Beware!! read more

I recently booked 2 nights mid week through Blue Pacific via Airbnb. After paying and receiving a confirmation email, I made the rest of my vacation arrangements. The following day I received a phone call from Blue Pacific explaining that I would either need to extend my vacation one day, move my vacation or choose another unit because my choice of two days created a dead day for that unit. It was not an option to extend our vacation and none of the other units were to our liking in addition to some costing more money . The agent, while always using a pleasant tone of voice, was extremely pushy. Although they refused to call this a cancellation, they told me we would not be able to stay there on our paid for days. After at least two hours of work and multiple phone calls, we booked what ended up being a nicer room through another agency. Blue Pacific refused to cancel our reservation although they wouldn't honor it either. I have a feeling this is due to it being through Airbnb and something to avoid. As a result I ultimately did get a refund but not until after three more phone calls. Overall a very disappointing experience. Being able to do a direct comparison to the other rental agency (Keystone)was interesting because I would choose Keystone again as a result . The language used to try to pressure us into extending our vacation was very scripted and identical between the two Blue Pacific agents I attempted to work with. They were always trying to "create a more positive" situation for me when all I wanted was to stay in the unit I had booked and paid for . When I called the other rental agency to inquire about the problem of a dead day, I was assured that mid week in February is not considered high season and it is never a problem when renting through them. read more

The fees with Blue Pacific are far more than with other management companies. They are not located close to the properties they manage, therefore problems are not addressed properly. The in office staff seems slim, disorganized and not open to taking responsibility for their mistakes. They were quite condescending about all of the issues we had, only offering a $50 credit for a future stay. Yeah, right! Bennington Properties is a true first class operation. Check them out before you waste your $ on a bad experience that is not only not addressed, but Blue Pacific pulls negative comments from their advertising VRBO site. Awful! read more

I've been a customer with blue pacific vacation rentals for 6-7 years booking at least twice a year with extended stays 1-2 weeks minimum and have spent thousands with them I mean thousands! Now since I book so often I've asked for some things like payments plans ( making 4 payments instead of two ) since I always book early. I've never received any special loyalty discounts (besides the regular deals they offer all guests one day free if you book week) when I've asked and I was also told this year that they bend over backwards to work with me in payment plans. After a dispute about showing up in Saturday instead of Sunday. Which I was told I couldn't do cause they don't allow that , but I have a contract from a previous stay which I showed up on Saturday summer 2014. I thought to myself I only do the plans cause I book so early in the year and if you didn't want to accommodate the plan just say no. My wife wanted to go again and so I booked. Now I just stayed for my last time with them June 26-July 6th. During our stay my wife and I went to the beach to light a fire at night normal beach activity. When we were done with beach fire I came back to room keypad and the battery had died please know it was 9:30pm and we didn't have our shoes phone wallet etc. I just happened to have my car keys cause I kept wood in trunk. Thank god the neighbor saw us outside and offered his phone. We left four messages with their emergency contact number and were not called back! My wife and I had to sleep in our car with no money shoes phones etc. finally the next day I had to drive to a hotel that was next to the rental and meekly ask if I could use their phone to call the management. They called back finally with the excuse that their system which handles messages didn't get calls from us out of range etc. I told them I wanted full compensation for my stay cause our vacation was ruined. I've never had to sleep in my car and get around town with nothing. My wife and to sneak into Safeway bathroom with no shoes and I had to watch over her while she slept. They were very passive about the emotional stress this caused and barely showed any consideration for our trouble. When I spoke to one of the agents and told her I wanted to be fully compensated she stated it was a bit much! To sleep on the street during a stay at a so called luxury rental!They offered me two days comp and again I let her know it's not about the money its principal and character and that wasn't enough to show me how you care about the well being of your tenants. I mean it could of been a fire, robbery etc and you don't even have the proper system to help your guests. Anyway not even talking to me they gave me 3 days compensated via phone message and never called to be sure I got message or to see if my stay was okay afterwards. I'll never stay with this company again and I hope this helps you understand what kind of place this is and who owns it is a greedy monger. They should be ashamed of themselves. Now I will say the lady who cleans the room was very nice and brought us a bottle of champagne and gift card for 50.00 to use but I told her it's not her job to take care of us and gave it back. Again 7 year renter never loyalty rates, only some early arrival which any true five star hotel does Vegas Wynn etc. my last extended stay I paid 3500 and this stay was 2200+. I didn't ask for much based in the real life lesson my wife and I had learned. I'll never look at street people the same and I don't want anything like this to happens to my worse enemy.
