Nice and convenient overnight location along I-5. Nice staff and well maintained park. Grass and trees everywhere with ample spacing between vehicles. The laundry room was very nice with lots of machines and a huge window making the room seem very spacious. Nearby there is a harbor freight, original pancake House, and a great supermarket. I would give it 5 stars, however, we chose this park because it advertised a hot tub/spa. Once we arrived and checked in, we were informed that spa wouldn't be operational until 2026! Pam offered to refund us for our week's stay, since we had just arrived... it was late, long drive, etc that I forgo my desire to soak me tired bones! Park is clean, spacious, well maintained. Next time, I'd ask before making reservations to endure hot tub (or other amenities) work! I didn't take any photos of park. Everything was spic and span. I did not use pool. Every year we go the rules have gotten more ridiculous. Not kid friendly Don't plan to cook or spend time outside of your rv without being harassed by a smoke cloud lady. Pool is never open. Dogs not allowed in buildings but a large black dog is inside barking the entire time. The worker lady stalks around smoking stinking up the place. The bathrooms were never cleaned the 7 days we were there. It was disgusting. Hot tub has posted hours, but the lady with the smoke cloud came and kicked us out 20 minutes early. We like this place for location, but will try a new place next time we are in the area. read more

We stopped over for a night on the way from Seattle to Redwoods National Park. The resort is located in a quiet area tucked among some light industry parks. There are some homeless folks staying in the surrounding area (multiple campsites next to the nearby railroad tracks), but the park itself is clean and feels safe. The pool was closed on our visit, so we didn't take full advantage of the amenities, but the site was nice and level, clean and had easy pull-through access, and the bathrooms and showers were great. Also close to groceries and multiple fast-serve food options (including In N Out!). Overall, just what we needed for an easy overnight on the first night of our trip. We're not really "park" campers--state parks tend to be more our speed--but we would absolutely stay here again if passing through. read more

We stayed at Hee Hee Illahee for four nights and four nights last year too. A lovely, well maintained RV park with spacious parking for all kinds of RVs. The facilities are clean and cheerfully attired. Pam, the park manager, is friendly, helpful, professional and courteous. Well done, Pam! We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. Rv spaces have a nice amount of grass with a tree for shade and a large picnic table. The pool facilities and restrooms / shower facilities were kept beautifully clean as are all the grounds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. All and all a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to camp in this area. read more

We have been staying at this resort since September 2022 and keep to ourselves 99.9% of the time. The park it's self is I'd rate it about a 3-star however when it comes to the management (Pam Denison) she is the rudest camp host I've ever met in the 3 years full time RVing. One day after our propane was filled by an employee at the resort, I noticed a horrible smell of propane and it was coming into the 5th wheel to the point of getting a migraine. When I brought that to her attention, she rudely told me that I needed to get the tank off property. I told her that I did not have a way to do that since my husband was working and I couldn't lift a 100 pd tank. She still insisted that I needed to get it off the property immediately!!! I also told her that their employee was the one that filled it and come to find out it was way over filled. When the weather warms up a few days later is when it started leaking The employee that filled it did not know how to properly fill propane tanks. He did not purge it. Pam told my husband that he had been retrained so he would do it correctly from now on That is when the nickpicking started then directly followed a notice to leave at the end of the month (June 30th) and the manager Pam couldn't confirm the date or the time of the day someone had complained about us talking loudly and my dog barking. We never were even aware of any complaints. They pick and choose who they want there or not. Pam is a horrible manager (don't get on her bad side she will kick you out for no reason and make stuff up) she favors her friends and is prejudiced against customers and has zero customer service skills. Then she shoved me out the door of the office when I went in to speak to her. I'm really not sure why she is a manager. They really need to rethink their management. I've never in the 2 years that we have been rv'ing full timing been treated so unfairly or rudely by a manager/camp host. Let's also bring up the fact of her and the employees walk in around close to the buildings and the park with cigarettes in hand. They should understand that not everyone smokes and/or has health issues or are x-smokers who wish not to be smelling it in the clubhouse or around it. All this being said this review is my honest and the events happened exactly as I have stated. I would never recommend this resort as long as that manager was still on property and in charge in anyway. read more

My wife and I stayed at Hee Hee Illahee for the first time and we must say we enjoyed our stay. The design of the sites were well thought out with the majority of the sites being pull through, all full hookups that included (20, 30 & 50 amps), concrete pads and most impressive was each site had dual sewer hookups perfectly spaced for RV's that have more than one waste tank. The property was very clean, well manicured landscaping, and the amenities, i.e., Laundry Room, had plenty of machines that were both clean and well maintained. In addition to the excellent property features, we were equally impressed with the property manager, Pam. She was very friendly, professional, and displayed excellent customer service skills, all while multitasking (working the office, refilling propane tanks, facility maintenance, and not to mention receiving, securing and sorting packages delivered to the office on behalf of the guest and residents). Pam is definitely an asset to the park and represents company well. In fact we made it a point to thank her before our departure for her professionalism and overall kindness. If we were to visit the Salem Oregon area again and needed a resort stay at, we would definitely choose Hee Hee Ilahee. read more

I stayed here once and it was lovely , very expensive but lovely. I TRIED to book another stay and called in to make the reservation. I was told by the employee that I needed to pay and extra 35 for each child I was bringing. It was myself and two kids. She told me that the trailer accommodated two adults and maybe one child although the descriptions of the trailers clearly state two adults and one child . We went around in circles on this and in the end I didn't book. She stayed firm on the $35 per kid policy . Maybe this place should be " adults only " and these conversations would never happen. We have been at this pathetic RV park as long term customers since 2022. Long term customers here are considered scum. Park rules indicate that any one violation is enough for eviction. My wife has cancer and park management...Pam Denison knew this prior to our moving in. Immediately we incurred a violation within one week. That one violation....as with all long term residents, cocked the gun for future eviction. You see, once you arrive at this Siletz Tribe owned RV park, you will get marked for future eviction. Oregon State tenant laws are inneffectual in this case. You are at the mercy of Tribal laws. Not Oregon State tenant laws. They can evict for ANY reason. You are a Siletz cash cow. The last time I was treated this bad was boot camp. We are laid back people. We are responsible people. Do not stay here long term unless you know, and are friends with,the manager. Your life will never be the same. 10,000 a year rent. read more

This is the first time I am giving a 5 star to a RV resort. Let alone in Salem Or. I came up here for the weekend because its my Moms Birthday and wanted to stay in our trailer and this place is close. I was not expecting to find this hidden gem. It's easy to get to off of the highway, but yet still remains hidden. I love how spaced apart the spots are, and how green the grass is. They have pull through spots for those of you who need it. In fact I think most of them are. Don't quote me on that though. Haha! I have not yet had a chance to take a dip in that beautiful looking pool but oh I will before the weekend is over!!! It's pretty here and very quiet. And yes I would come back!!! You should try this place out!!!! read more

First, let's make sure and talk about the positives. This is a very nice RV Park. It's well taken care of. It is clean, manicured and well thought out. The staff is awesome! Even the grump old guy is a hoot to chat with. Now the disappointments; this park is getting harder and harder to get into. Portland has 2 RV parks, one in Jantzen Beach has its own issues and the other on Marine dr is ok. That makes this park ideal as it just far enough away from the noise and traffic of Portland, but close enough to hit Bridge Port or Washington Square. But convenience is not what makes this popular. Salem is not a destination town, not a lot to do. I understand this and economics of keeping a park profitable dictate that so many spots have to stay full to make money. Put the two together and you get a park full of year round residents. Some parks have a road to two of full time. This park is 3/4 to 7/8 filled up with year round residents. This is also testament to how bad housing is. It stupid expensive. Oregon is in a crisis so to speak. Big city problems are pouring in, not just to Portland, but Salem and Bend. There are no easy answers. With all that being said, I really cannot fault this park. They are trying to stay profitable, and the people here just want to provide housing for their families that fits in their budgets. Remember my first, this is not a Trailer "court" this is a very well taken care of place. If you can get in, the facilities are top notch and my hat it off to all the hard work it takes to maintain its beauty. read more

We came here from another state to see family. The amount of homeless people walking around this city is worse than Seattle. We chained up our bikes every night and put everything away. But this still didn't stop our locks from being cut and our bikes stolen. The day before motorized scooters were stolen from another camp site. No fire pits in the camp site. But I really liked the gym and the lady up front was nice. read more

A big, clean park. It's well maintained and has all the amenities you might want. But, as others have mentioned, it's got a truck-stop feel. Highway noise, trains blowing their whistles all night and rigs coming and going until all hours. Most of that is location and I knew it going into it. RV Parks seem to be built near rail lines and the ease of access to the highway can be a plus. What really knocked this review down was the incessant mowing. I got in late enough that I was hoping to sleep until the office opened at 9:00 AM, check in/out and be on my way. At the stroke of 8:00 AM, there was a guy spending 30 minutes mowing my little spot. Moving the picnic table around, cutting and recutting the same 100 sqft of lawn. Fine. I'll leave and not come back. read more

I came here to see my family and stayed in #2 Yurt. Loved the whole Park, it's very clean, well taken care of and a competent friendly Staff. The only piece of advice I would give is pay extra attention to traffic when you turn into the Park. The Yurt was a awesome experience! Would recommend it to anyone! read more

Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort - Resorts Near Me - Salem, Oregon

This is a wonderful RV Park right off of I-5, with super easy access and many amenities. I stayed here 4 weeks recently. It has laundry facilities, a swimming pool (which was still closed at the time), easy hookups, etc. The reason for the 4-star is the Wifi - the website advertises it as high speed; but it's far from it. I learned that our site was only one site away from a hub, but yet, the signal was so weak, I was unable to connect the network with my Smart TV, so I could watch Netflix, etc. If it weren't for the Wifi - I'd say this is the best RV Park I've visited since purchasing a motorhome two years ago. read more

We've lived here for 5 years and like anywhere else, there's positives and negatives. Positives are outweighing everything with the recent change in managers. The new manager,Kelsey is enforcing rules and accomplishing things that the past manager wouldn't or couldn't do or help people with. I hated going to the office for anything because the old manager was rude and grumpy and when you work with the public,that's not how you should treat people. I feel welcome now when I go get my mail. It is a nice resort to live at and changes needed to be made to better it and make people feel more welcome. read more

This our third time staying here over the years. There have been changes. Some are good,some not. The pool area facilities are clean and convenient. The front desk staff here are very good and try to make you happy. (Thanks,John!) However the hot tub,a nice one too, closes at 9pm. That is way too early,especially on weekends.There were five of us in the tub at 8:30 when we were asked/told by cleaning to get out for "15 minutes so they could clean it" ..(and they could go home early). They peeked through the door until we got out.That was maddening. We couldn't believe it! . Today (Sunday) both hot tub bathrooms were occupied... all day. Right. Big star lost. There used to be standards about what RVs looked like here. There is a Bounder two sites down that looks funky. They've been here a while. Most of the sites are now monthly only too. Too bad. The pull thru sites are very nice and long and the w/s and power are fine. The garbage bins need to be looked after more often. The Stilitz Indian tribe wants to build a casino next store around 2020. Please don't! Park patrons don't want it and neither do nearby neighborhoods. Thank you. More good than bad as usual. We'll be back! We travel in a 37' , 2014 Winnebago Adventurer with tow. We were in Site 9. read more

This park is very unaccomodating!!!Do not stay here for more than a couple of days. We reserved for a week and on the last day they said we had to move to another spot. However there was someone else in the spot we were go to. We had an appointment we needed to go to and asked if we could go to one of the sites that was already vacated. The girl in the office said she couldn't let us go to one of the empty spots because people were coming in for the night. We have a residential refrigerator in our rig and are full time so we either have to run a generator or keep plugged in if we aren't towing. Other patrons of this park said they also had to move and some said it was 2 or 3 times during their stay. read more

Ok, I'm going to give this 4 stars. I might give it 5 but for the woman in the laundry room who refused to give me the code to the bathroom when I pulled in late at night. She insisted that the management abhorred anyone giving out this sacred code out to just anyone. I pointed at my camper and told her that I was there for the night and had just gotten off the road and really needed this bathroom. I guess a beard and longer hair was enough to equate me with the Manson clan. How absurd. I spoke to the girl at the desk the next morning. She didn't quite understand the woman's problem. Neither do I. Can I truly blame management or her? I'm not sure. Anyhow, I really did like the bathroom once I got in. It's a combo shower and toilet so you have full privacy, and the shower doesn't require coins. Big bonus for this. It was also clean, as were the grounds. There's also a swimming pool, and if you need easy access to the grounds from the freeway, it's very easy to find, tho a bit noisy because of this. You know the drill. read more

Found this Resort in Jan on trip to Palm Springs and stayed again on journey north in April. Very well maintained and friendly staff. I would have given a 5 but an old class A was in a nearby space and it's condition & appearance was not in accordance with Resort standards read more

Staff nice! Park clean. That is where it ends. They claim 5 star and Good Sam of 10 but all there supposed amenities are poorly maintained. Wifi they claimed is fixed. Barely could connect before I was kicked off again and again. Apparently others are experiencing the same and they are working on it. Community room and full kitchen are actually nice. I'd prefer a comfortable seating area to watch the game on their TV instead of table and chairs. That's just being picky. Their pool broken in June on a 90 degree day. Sorry, that's unexceptable. It's seasonal, you have all winter to get it up and operational. Ack! The hot tub. Bird feathers in the tub floating with you. No jets to speak of. The locals claim that's normal of the hot tub. Playground decent, bathrooms clean. Laundry coin machine barely works. Very nice fitness room. read more

Management is horrible to deal with, Showers are gross! Hot tub is always broken and too hot to the point it makes you sick. I took a temporary space with the promise I would get the next available open space, only to find out they gave it away a week before it was even open to someone else. Then I was told I could have another space and it was given away to someone who just drove in. I was told if I don't like things here then I don't have to stay here. They think they are the only RV park or something. They make weird rules and then change them without notice. Flower bed out front has weeds growing up and no flowers. The trains and industrial trucks you are surrounded by are so noisy you can still hear them with earplugs in...so not much sleep here. Poor customer service. They don't know what they are doing. OK if you're not staying long. read more

Great park. Very clean and nice looking. Even though they have long term residents here they weren't cluttered and junky like most places. Nice rec room and exercise room. Pool nice but needed to be cleaned. It was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom. Hot tub looked nice. Quiet hour is 9PM here but residents drive diesel trucks through every night between 1 and 2 am, they left them running for 15-20 min and were loud, so we were woken up every night by disrespectful people. Overall a great clean park. Great for kids even a little playground. WiFi was not so good. read more
