You can smell the history! From the immense front porch with rockers and a swing to the claw tub to the mini farm with sheep and chickens one was surrounded with silence and thought - if these walls could talk!- Every nook and cranny filled with early 20th century furnishings and books! There is a fireplace for cool nights and one very small hidden tv which was turned on once in 3 days and that was to watch Little House on the Prairie! Breakfast each day? Delectable!

A large comfy bed, flat screen HDTV with Premium sports and movie channels, a kitchen with all the amenities from Oven to Spatula, a full bathroom, and a small dining /work table. The suites are housed in a turn of the century victorian house converted into apartments and conveniently located off bus lines to Downtown. The best thing is supermarkets and bars are nearby, all which Robert gives you maps and descriptions of. Got Laundry? no problem, the suites have their own laundry room and each room has an ironing board, laundry basket, and iron. It's home away from home.

The later 2 were relocated here and situated by the Wright Association. The former 2 were designed for the specific site. Currently a Frank Lloyd Wright, Jr (Lloyd Wright) is being added to Polymath Park. Bear in mind that the whole Park is 130 acres and to tour the houses is by van. When you're at one house, you can't see the other houses. A restaurant is on site by the visitor center. If you are going to Fallingwater, it is worth the time to add Polymath Park to your itinerary.

We stayed in the FLW Mantyla house for one night and it was unfortunately a HOT weekend so it was about 85 degrees in the house and we had some issues with the lights not turning off at night in one of the bedrooms. Of course FLW houses don't have built-in A/C and often have "unique" aspects so none of this is entirely unexpected but just be aware in the summer. In the morning though, we saw a beautiful deer and her fawn outside the patio which is not uncommon at most FLW houses we've stayed at but still amazing to see through the huge windows of a Usonian house. I would never stay more than one night at the houses given that you need to be out while they're doing tours during the day but it's worth a one night stay if you're visiting Falling Water and definitely dine at the Tree Tops restaurant. I'd say 3.5 stars overall and I would consider staying again just to eat at the restaurant and not have to drive far afterward. :)

The Montgomery Mansion and it's owners feel like something out of a fairy tale. The home isn't…read morejust beautiful, it has the unique character that can only be built by many generations of loving owners each making their own thoughtful contributions. The custom wood work, vintage light fixtures, mirrors, carpets and stained glass are at once classy and charming. Every aspect feels cozy and full of warm character without ever crossing over to ostentation. The only thing better than the atmosphere was our hosts, the owners Butch and Shirley. Even though we'd never met before, they treated us like old friends they were delighted to catch up with. They went out of their way to ensure every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. Butch and Shirley love the house just as much as we did, and you could tell they were thrilled to be able to share the gorgeous historical time capsule that is the Montgomery Mansion with others. The coffee, scratch made french toast and frittata the next morning were the perfect end to a perfect stay. The great place and great hosts have us searching for a great excuse to go back soon!

My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE! I had stayed at Neville House a few previous occasions with my husband, a veteran having treatment…read moreat Pittsburgh Veterans Hospital. If I had written a review one of those times, it would've been probably a four star review. We just found that the staff was not very friendly for a facility that works with people going through difficult times. I was alone on this visit as my husband was admitted to the hospital and I was in the middle of discussions with the hospital regarding end of life care. I am diabetic and stress is a huge factor in my blood sugar levels. Check out time is 10:00 AM but I was having a hard time with nausea and dizzy spells due to my sugar levels. The front desk called 10:03 AM reminding me to check out. I told him that I was ill and would do my best to be out by 10:30AM. To make a very long story somewhat shorter, the front desk and the manager of the Neville House lied and to officials at the VA and we're just horrible. They were treating me like a hardened criminal because I was sick in my room and didn't get down to check out until 11:30 AM, partly because of the circus they were causing. They made me pay for an additional full night even though I had spoken with the cleaning lady on the way down and she said that she hadn't even been ready to get to my room. I paid and asked to speak to the manager and was given a business card. I saw in the lobby and was going to call the manager, but before I could do that the front desk attendant said she had her on the line. After a little go-around about how they are a nonprofit specifically created to help people in my situation and I wasn't causing them any extra cost or expense, she asked to speak to the front desk clerk and clearly told her to 'just get her out of there'. This woman'a salary is paid from a nonprofit organization that was designed to help patients and their families during troubling times. My husband is dying, I have a disease raging out-of-control. No one asked me if I was okay, no one asked me if I had proper medicine with me, no one asked me if I needed a doctor, no one asked me if I was able to drive. These people should be ashamed of themselves for how they treated me.
