This was actually the second time I stayed here when taking trips to Monroeville, PA. The women at the front desk is very friendly and is the only staff member I have actually seen but is very easy to work with. The room itself is a pretty generic motel room. It has a floral comforter, spiders in the corner of the room, quite possibly the tiniest bathroom I have ever seen, and a mirror so small, It's easier to just use a cell phone. I've gotten to a point where small things don't really bother me and the room was clean enough to do the trick. This motel also allows dogs which is a big plus for me since my girlfriend had 2 little pugs that also needed a place to sleep. Overall I see this as a place that I'm sure most people would pick at but I won't be one of them. This is a place I'm glad is here and will most likely be spending more nights here in the future.

They have coffee that grinds the right amount of beans and pours into your cup after brewing. Pretty cool. The breakfast buffet was ok. Only the little one went to grab some morning food. All in all we had a nice stay. The room walls are thick so you don't hear anyone's tv or loud talking. Which I was really happy about. Angus would always get super excited when we got to the Pet Hotel - couldn't wait to get inside and socialize with the people and other dogs. Our first trip back in 5 years with our new bull terrier pup, Arlo, looks to be no different. You get to drop off your pet bed, so nighttime is familiar. You can drop off food, as well, labeled for correct dispensing. There are walks and yard time. A full doggie spa - should you choose. We love it here and have NEVER worried about the happiness of our pet or the level of care given by the long term staff. They love the four-leggers just like we do!

There were burns in the blanket, a hole in the bathroom wall, and the AC was so disruptively loud we had to request a room change. The staff had us wait while they were on a personal call before they switched our room which was a bit rude. It was midnight by this point and we just wanted to get some sleep, but credit to them for giving us a new room with no hassle... But this room was hardly an improvement. The cigarette stench is buried deep into this entire place. I check everywhere we stay for bed bugs, and found a used bandaid under the corner of the mattress, and it hasn't been cleaned under the bed in probably months. The sink and toilet were clogged up with no plunger in the room, there were dirty socks in the bathroom, old coffee grounds were left in the coffee maker! MOLD was growing on the bedskirt! Mold!! And that's still not even everything. I don't expect a lot from cheap motels, but I expect the bare minimum if we're paying to stay there. We overpaid to stay in unclean, moldy, trashed rooms. I wish I could say anything positive about our stay, but I can't. If you don't mind spending money to enjoy the smell of decades of deeply engrained smoke in a dirty room, then this is the place for you. I'll sleep in the car before booking with another Red Roof again.
