Aaron does an excellent job. I had him replace front and rear pads and rotors on my minivan with parts that I sourced myself. He was quite accommodating. Apparently the shop that did my previous front brake job did not adequately grease the caliper pins and they were seized on both sides. Not a problem for Aaron. Beat three estimates at local repair shops by plenty and I grilled steaks while he was at my house. Super nice guy. As mentioned by others, also appears to be very honest. I was told at an inspection that my brakes and rotors needed replacing. I made an appointment with Brake Time and his inspection identified rotors in great shape and 20,000 miles left on pads. My car has 160k miles (and will not likely need another brake change in the future) and I appreciated his honesty, so I had him change the pads anyway. I was referred to Brake Time by a co-worker. I work in the Tyson's area and felt this business would be ideal for servicing my brake needs. I requested a quote and setup an appointment. All went well until the day of the appointment, 1 hr before the appointment I receive a yelp message, not a call, about how Aaron wouldn't be able to make the appointment. I left my telephone number in previous messages and it was really unprofessional to send a YELP message vs. calling, especially so close to the appt time. What if I never checked the yelp app to receive the message? I clearly stated that I work in the Tyson's area M-F, however, he asked if we could POSSIBLY reschedule on Sunday (no time). I'm don't work on Sunday's and I could've worked from home, on the day of the appointment if I'd known in advance that he couldn't make the appointment. Seems like an unstated issue preventing this appt, however, no worries, a business only gets one chance to make a first impression. Alrighty, here is my NEWEST experience with mobile brake specialists. Contacted THREE from yelp. One I had used before, Brake Squad then Brakes and Beyond, and Brake Time. BRAKE SQUAD, although a great service with very nice folks, they just plain charge too much for a basic pad and sensor replacement so I went in another direction. BRAKES AND BEYOND: This one was VERY INTERESTING. Told them I need pads and sensors replaced and basically ran me an estimate for pads sensors and rotors to the tune of 520 bucks. That is not too bad for a service like this on a BMW HOWEVER, I DID NOT NEED ROTORS. I replied to Joseph G stating again that I ONLY needed front pads and sensors. At That point he basically told me to take a hike unless I was in town to spend some REAL money. (See conversation below) *** I guess doing brake pads and sensors is too small of a job for a mobile service that specializes in doing BRAKES!! William Z. Aaron fit me in last minute as my brakes were down to about nothing. He came out to the garage at my office. He was on time, very nice, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Unfortunately, he could not remove a caliper, so he reassembled the brake and told me he couldn't do the job. After he had already left, I went to move my car and the emergency brake was locked up. I gave him a call and he came right back to try to help. He was unable to fix this issue too but he paid for the tow truck and didn't charge me a dime for labor even though none of the problems were his fault. He wasn't able to fix anything, however, he showed that he cared and was an honest, hard working guy. And for that reason I will be calling him whenever I need new brakes in the future. I took my Hyundai in to the dealership and they claimed I needed new brakes and rotors and said it would cost over 800 dollars to have this done. My brakes went from "should replace soon" to "emergency" almost overnight and so I was in a desperate situation to have the work done, but with Christmas coming I needed the most inexpensive and immediate solution.
