I cannot say enough positive things about this place! Went there to get an estimate for having multiple dents taken out as well as paint work done on the front and rear bumpers of my 2014 Ram 1500. I had fully expected to hear that I needed a full paint job in order to make everything "match".. I did not hear anything like that at all. Lionell actually told me the opposite. He went over the entire truck with me and explained cost saving options (paintless dent repair, sanding/buffing out scratches, etc.) since I was not going through my insurance and paying out of pocket. He also pointed out to me that the truck had been painted before from a previous owner and that they had not done it correctly because the clearcoat was peeling off of some spots. He also pointed to some early signs of rust under the corners of the hood. After sitting down with him to go over the estimate, I was shocked (happily) with his price!! Much lower than other places I had been to. I scheduled a drop off time the following week. I was kept updated of the entire process with pictures (daily) as well as explanations of what was being done. When I got the truck back early the following week, it looked amazing! The paint was blended perfectly and matched, no runs or blemishes and no signs of any dents or rust anywhere. First I took my car to caliber collision and they said they where not able to take a look at my car to give a quote until January 15. I told the lady up front are you kidding just to have someone give me quote I have to wait that long. I received an estimate from another body shop, and after dropping off my car, received a call saying my car would need an additional $1,000 worth of work and they they wouldn't be honoring the original estimate. If you are looking for surprise fees, I'd HIGHLY recommend using Lionell at LB Auto & Custom. The hidden fees were not expected or appreciated. I was referred to Lionell by a local auto shop. After multiple phone calls and asking for quotes, he said he would "take care of me" and said several times the rate was $44 / hr. I wasn't purchasing parts...I just needed to have my sun roof drains cleaned out. I was also informed multiple times they may not get to my car in a timely manner, and they insisted I dropped off my car. I dropped off my car and paid $25 for an Uber to go home. An hour later, I received a call that my car was done. After another ride back, I was charged $100 for less than an hour's worth of work, and an additional $3.50 for using my credit card. Sammy said there was a misunderstanding and he would "take care of me" for wheels I needed restored...which turned into a text message with no instructions and a picture of a business card to another business. So let me start of by saying that my car was involved in a hit and run. I went through my insurance and received an estimate of the repairs. I went to LB to have these repairs done. LB is a really nice guy. He looked at my car and looked at the estimate. The damage was more cosmetic than anything, but he understood why I wanted it fixed. He suggested that I not leave my car since it would take time for the parts to come in. Also, since I would have had to rent a car, he felt it made more sense for me to bring back the car when the parts came. I really appreciated his opinion and was glad that he was being honest and fair in his opinion. So I agreed that I would wait for the parts to come in and he would give me a call when they did arrive. That meeting happened in October and here it is January and I have still not received a call. Maybe there were other customers who had more drastic damages, but some sort of follow up would have been great. At this point I've moved on but I didn't have the best experience and it wasn't my worse. read more

Lionel is THE FIRST CHOICE OF PREFERENCE for auto body repair for me - and several neighbors and friends... Indeed, there must be some confusion on the part of the previous commentator, as their complaints appear to be oriented toward a service repair shop. It would not make much sense for a party on Lorton to have work done in Manassas, unless of course they work in Manassas. I was a bit skeptical because I saw a poor review but talking to LB (the owner) He really came across as an honest guy with integrity. His quote was considerably less than the other body shops I visited. I examined his work on other cars that were in the shop. It was the work of a auto body craftsman. I chanced it and turned over my treasured Toyota 4runner to his shop. I just picked up the vehicle. My gut feeling about this guy was right-on. They did a fantastic job! He delivered just like he said he would and explain exactly what they did to restore my vehicle to a like new condition replacing the head-lights and restoring the side mirror. This was not a big job but he treated me well and gave me the best price. I am very satisfied with his business.
