Oh, and give popsicles to the kids. Really it was seamless and everyone was so nice. We rented the Godfrey and it was a great boat. It was fast enough to do the max speed I'd want my kids tubing at. The check-in process was quick and easy and the staff loaded our cooler and bags onto the boat while we checked in. Matt was out primary guide/contact and he provided some boating tips and gave us an overview of the lake and some recommended spots we might enjoy. We did rent a tube and our kids had a lot of fun tubing. There were also plenty of beautiful spots to anchor and swim. When we returned at our designated time, the return process was equally as smooth. Matt came aboard and we hopped off for the transportation back to the office. Once the boat was back at the office, staff took off the cooler and bags for us to load back into our car. I do recommend everyone watch the videos and sign the waivers and agreements ahead of arrival. It keeps the check-in very efficient so the crew at Blue Ridge Boat Rentals can get you on your way to an amazing day on the lake.

The next morning our guide came and picked us up we used their equipment which was all very good from the waders to their rods and reels. We were there after some rain but the water was clear and we figured we were going to catch some good fish. As we fished our guide kept telling us we were getting bites but we could tell it was rocks in the stream. We fished all day and lost maybe 3 fish and landed 3 fish. My wife hooked up on 3 good fish 1 broke her off on A log but the other 2 should have been netted but our guide slapped at them with the net and broke them off. I called the owner of the guide service to tell him how disappointed we were with our trip and asked if we could book another trip and have him Guide us. He told me he had talked to our guide and that fly fishing was not for us and he would notebook us again. Then he hung up the phone on me. I attempted to call him back and he would not answer. If you want to catch fish and have a good Trip I recommend you stay away from these guys, all they are after is your money .
