They have a beautiful fish tank in there that is very calming to look at. Then Alaina the dental assistant came out and took me to get a thorough and extensive x rays and photos of myself and my mouth. Alaina is very personable, knowledgeable and sweet. Alaina makes sure you feel comfortable through it all. . Then Rebecca did my cleaning, she was also very good, gentle and thorough. This was the first time meeting Dr. Kassidy Lewis and I loved her. Dr. Kassidy Lewis did the most extensive detailed post cleaning exam and explained and made sure I felt comfortable with the plan they are putting together for me!! I had a question after I was all done. and Alaina went to ask her my concern and Alaina came back and said Dr. Lewis wants to come back in if you could wait a few minutes. Dr. Lewis is really sweet. Then on the way out the front desk told me to help myself to some snacks or a beverage!! I highly recommend this state of the art dental practice.

It might be just my personality but I like being explained things and understanding things and I felt that the way they did it was, like as good as it could be done. They made me for the first time, not afraid of my teeth but I felt like I knew everything that was happening with my mouth. I was able to make decisions about what to do next on my own time and it helped to prepare myself for the actual work. On that point I had to have a long procedure with a lot of shots and scraping and I honestly could not have been more pleased. They to a topical numbing gel before the shots and then after the shots you are numb. The nurses and doctors seem like genuinely good people. Dentists in the Blairsville work only 3-4 ft days per week. None actually provide such service. None are truthfully in their advertising. As with most medical services in Union County, Blairsville, it's all about the money evidently.

But I did have insurance and it wasn't expired. What happened was they recently took me off my moms Insurance and I had to pay out of pocket. The PART that really upset me was, I wouldn't have gone here if I didn't know they didn't take my insurance. The ladies were helpful but not very friendly especially Lisa, she treated me like I was dumb. Don't recommend this place because of the ladies in the front. Other than that. They don't listen to you at all and get very irate if you question them at all or even express concerns. Everytime you go in, even for a basic cleaning you will come out with hundreds of dollars of urgent work that needs to be done( peridontal, replace crowns) and those items have to be completed right away and before the work you went in for gets done. I have had this experience many times in two years plus. I was severley hurt during a tooth extraction and they would not even talk to me about exactly what happened they acted like it was nothing. Everytime I go in even for a cleaning my mouth is serioulsy sore for days. Good tech don't seem to last long. This last time and I do mean the LAST time the tech tried to jam a huge piece of equipment in my mouth. He persisted for several minutes and didn't really seem concerned with my discomfort or outright pain. He got it in as he was determined to do, usually they go get a different piece or make another plan. Not this guy! I always get complements on the condition of my teeth and hygene. This guy told me they were really bad and needed $900.00 (by the time your done.) Tommorrow! He descibed it like he was reading out of a book. In three months time they went from Great!! to dire straights. Even though hygene had been off the last week I find that impossible to believe. I barely felt his exam compared to others it was nothing. Yet it revealed disaster! The Dr. came in to confirm what he was saying and I was shown x-rays that showed my brushing had been off for sure. When I questioned it they got angry. If I didn't get the appt tomorrow morning I wouldn't get one for 7 weeks. They acted as it the money was nothing. Probably because I had been going along with it for two years much to the dismay of my kids who said they thought that all of the procedures that I had had in the past two years was clearly excessive and have wanted me to change. They just name a price and I paid it in full at the time. And it has been never ending. I made excuses and a lot of it was not their fault and I am not called a professional patient by my kids for nothing. They took my insurance so I dealt with it. The last time The bills went on for months and months. $42 here 54 there and 68 somewhere else. For what I don't know. after a brief break because my insurance ran out I went back and it immediately started again. I left that day without the cleaning I went for, they wouldn't do it. I find I cannot go back. I am done. I just cant go back again. The never ending money machine is gone.
