I transferred over from Adams Cable. The installment team and people who set up everything were very professional respectful polite and understanding especially when it came to billing as the billing dates were different from one company to another which can cause as it caused me to be late on a payment.. I was told if I made a certain amount of the payment I would not be in shut off notice. When I call today to confirm I would pay my bill before the 1st or just on the 1st and then catch up with it they said this time it was too late the woman got belligerent and told me I had to pay late fees on a bill from January when they do not start charging late fees until after February 22nd. Despite trying to explain this to her she could not understand what I was saying and it's forcing me now to once I pay them off to leave completely and find someone who has proper respectful competent and understanding staff who answer the phones and serve their customers.. Since I received it I've had to call them several times about poor reception freezing up of stations and until this day I cannot access my messages I am a senior with multiple hospital appointments I cannot verify because I cannot access my voice messages yet they get to be belligerent with me on the phone.. For the most part all the employees other than this one were excellent employees and I'll see how things go but as it seems now it looks like I'll be leaving after I pay them off probably a new service in March my recommendations is think before you take this service though they may have some good employees they are not willing to understand especially if you're transferring over from a company they acquired read more

Blue Ridge customer service is one of the worst I've dealt with. It takes 5-10 minutes just to verify my information, even when I'm only trying to make a payment. The online account is constantly having access issues, forcing me to call, and the automated system usually transfers me to a representative anyway. I'm not sure why I pay as much as I do for service that works 50 to 60 percent of the time. No program or movie is complete without a frequent 'revolving 3-dot symbol' on the screen while everything freezes. Was software testing even done on this system? Quality: not yet. Lately, the internet has been down constantly. Every day, whatever you're trying to stream ends up buffering nonstop, which is extremely frustrating, especially when you're paying for "high-speed" internet. The service slows down significantly and has frequent outages. If you work from home and have other options, I would definitely recommend choosing a different provider. The eero system is lousy; the linksys was much better. In the middle of watching your favorite show those three dots on the screen start circling around. Then you have to check your phone and update this system periodically yourself. That's ridiculous. BRC should certainly have more promotions that bring your monthly price down since the Eero system and modem isn't the best. In a nut shell everything can improve. Totally disappointing. When it works, it's great. I have had NO internet problems since they brought in the fiberoptic, though I did buy extra EERO routers to get service in my garage and backyard. The TV is whole different issue. Constantly buffers and the audio/video goes out of sync. The video freezes and the audio continues. I've lost HOURS of DVR shows because they just can't be played and when I call support, I get (in essence) "sucks to be you". At a minimum, give me back my local DVR so I can still watch shows when the internet does flake out! For what they charge, it should at least work... or they should refund partial when it doesn't work. Considering just canceling the TV service. If I am going to have crappy streaming, I can pay for subscription junk and save 50% per month. If it worked, it would be great to at least have the appearance of "normal" TV. read more

Parent had a brand new 40 inch TV identical to the one that was on the furniture top. Service tech refuse to install the TV as it would require him to lift it in place. I would understand the company policy if it exceeded a certain size like 48 inches or something requiring it to be hung on the wall or required two people to lift in place. Still dealing with Blue Ridge for my television need and they still suck. My streaming service cut out on Thursday night and didn't get fixed for over a day. if I didn't unplug my router and plug it back in I would still be without tv. The error message I received was my service would resume soon but it never did. We were accused of loosing the device even when they admitted it was possible that the technician could have failed to leave it with us, even after the technician admitted that he could have taken the device back to his truck. I had to give 1 star to write review. Blue Ridge doesn't deserve even 1 star . We had a technician out to our home last Friday to be told by him our internet has not been near the 1.2g we are paying for for the last 17 weeks. The tech even took photos to prove it. The local tech supervisor has accused us of tampering with equipment to obtain a credit. It's all their equipment mind you. The supervisors add unprofessional and rude. I think because Blue Ridge is basically the only internet service around they treat people like garbage knowing they have no choice. If you try to contact any of the upper offices you just get rerouted all over PA. This company is a disgrace. Looking over all these negative reviews all for doing basically the same things to customers is truly horrendous. If you can get any other internet provider (besides frontier) save yourself the hassle of having lagging and dropping internet EVERYDAY and try a different provider. We have had blue ridge at our house for as long as I can remember at least 15 years. It is the only option besides frontier which is somehow even worse. We pay for the highest speed and live literally 1,000 feet from a blue ridge station yet we have daily outages and have to ration who uses the internet. My boyfriend livestreams and makes YT videos and it is almost impossible for him to do either one here due to the internet cutting out randomly and consistent lagging. It says we get 2 gigs download speed but only 1 or 2 devices can be connected at a time. There are 6 adults living in our house and 2 use the internet for work so you can see how its an issue. Often times I am forced to use my iphone hot spot for TV streaming and for my laptop even though i am barely LTE service at my house. hi, the service is good, they always answer the phones and want to help. But i always have the same problems, they tell me unplug the wifi or modem and plug it back in, i do this on my own now once a week. the wifi seems to go out couple time a week for a few seconds or about a minute then comes back on, this repeats until i pull plug and reset it and it seems to run good for several days. the modem, which i have computer monitoring the disconnects and is plugged directly, goes out once a week and again i have to reset, I think the only way to resolve this is to replace my lines from the pole to the box on the house and then my internal line from the box to the modem. thanks for letting me vent read more

A year later, I'd like to say that things are better, but they're not. I was forced to purchase the unlimited internet package because anything else with a 5-person household was just not working out. Trying to ration internet services is pure insanity. While the internet speed is now fine, it's the cable that I have issues with. I have two boxes, and the non-main box goes out once a week with a "trying to connect to the TIVO" issue. I now know how to fix it, but spent 5 times with customer service getting to this point. It's still annoying when you sit down to watch a live game, and the live TV option is not working, and it still takes 20 minutes to reconnect (don't invite friends over for the Super Bowl!!) Plus, the cable signal works off the internet. So I've found that when watching live TV (not DVR'd), it pixellates every so often. Again, unfortunately there just is no competition in zip code 18301, so you're stuck with them as your internet service provider. And the only other TV providers are satellite. And now with the higher internet speed package, combined with a mid-tier cable package (without HBO, which I bought separately because it cost less), my monthly cost is about $100/month MORE than it was for the far superior FIOS. read more

Blue ridge cable streaming STINKS!! They'll lie to your face just to get you off the phone. We just changed from cable box to the streaming. It's was the worst thing I have ever done. They'll put you on hold for over 33 minutes in hopes you'll just hang up. I asked somebody straight out "Why does the streaming never work", in a calm voice. She wanted to seller me another box. I said why so we'll just have more problems. Our tv's go out at least 3-4 times a day, for over the last 4 weeks, and they install them. O' hell I could just go and on! I had a guy named Christopher cone out to my house to check on my WiFi that has been out 2 days. This guy came in a bucket truck about 7pm to check everything. working outside in the snow and the dark he found a wire that a squirrel may of chewed the coating off. He ran a new wire from Route 447 up a steep hill and reconnected to our pole getting us WiFi. He could of waited until it was light out and spliced the wire but he didn't. My husband and I were so thrilled to see someone go over and above for us. People who have pride in their work are few and far between anymore. There is a known issue where the internet drops periodically for 2+ minutes at a time, multiple times throughout the day. As a business owner, it impacts our business as we lose phone, business video connections, loss of data in online apps, etc., etc. This is experienced by the other businesses located directly near our office with the same exact issue. After literally MONTHS of working on a resolution, Blue Ridge is unable to address it and tries to default to a position that it's a problem on our end with SonicWall Firewalls. We switched the firewall out to one of their recommended brands and, you guessed it, same issue. There is NO other option at either of our locations. They are the only game in town and they appear to know that. I would say I definitely don't recommend them but since they're the only provider I can only say, "Good Luck!" Where do start. Horrible experience. Had system less than two weeks and the problems began. They have you held hostage with the contract. You're stuck after 3 days. Was away on vacation and received a call every day saying my back door was open. Cops were dispatched on the find out everything was good. Spoke to the cop over the door bell and was advised that fines were going to be sent to us because they came out 3 times. We were stressed because we were out of the country. We had just moved in. We don't know anyone who lives nearby or remotely close. So we disabled the alarm. So for the next 4 days our home was not secured. Trying to speak to a supervisor is a joke. We get back and the problems continue. They may be cheaper than other companies but in the long run you're paying more. If you're thinking about getting a security system, they're not the one.
