Stay away from this place. I bought a car from Steve three months ago and I am currently sitting on the side of the road for the second time waiting for AAA. When we called Steve to tell him that not two months after we bought the car, it had something serious go wrong, he got heated up and HUNG UP on my husband. Just horribly unprofessional. We should have known he was a bit shady when he DIDN'T FILE OUR REGISTRATION PAPERWORK. It was frustrating and cost us $80. We thought that was a lot at the time... but then we had to have the engine replaced because of some shoddy work on the timing belt when it was replaced last. It's always a gamble buying a used car, but I feel completely taken by this guy. Come to find, many of the mechanics in Bozeman have had bad experiences with Steve. Our mechanic kept saying, "You only bought this two months ago? And Steve isn't gonna help you out with the repairs at all?" Nope. AND he hung up on us. So now I wait again by the side of the road be as of a busted transmission hose as my family arrives to an airport for their first time in Montana. Do not buy a car from this dealer! He sold a car to my daughter (an MSU student working three jobs). Within a week, her "check engine" light came on. When she took it to a trusted mechanic, they found multiple problems. The error codes had been cleared to conceal the issues. The cost of repairs was more than 50% what she paid for the vehicle. When my daughter tried to contact the dealer, they refused to respond to her. When she went to the lot during business hours, the door was locked. To date, she has not received a response to multiple phone calls and emails. A significant portion of the down payment came from me, so I feel justified adding this review. While she did buy the car in "AS IS" condition, the dealer obviously concealed existing issues. It takes a certain type of person to take advantage of hard working students. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! I have had way better luck buying cars off Craigslist. He wouldn't negotiate and didn't even fill the car up with gas when I bought it! He hid multiple problems with the vehicle. He said a mechanic checked it out but when I went to see the mechanic Steve had already called them and they told me they had no records on the vehicle not even a multi point check sheet. The only think he told me was the day it was supposedly seen. I've only had the vehicle four months and have well over $3000 in repairs and the just keep coming. Do not trust! We were mislead on the condition of the car even after we asked a direct question regarding the engine. He told us told his mechanic had gone over the car and there were no immediate problems. Now one week after purchase we are looking at a $2,000 engine repair for a leak in the head gasket Steve told us it did not have. Do not buy from him with out your own mechanic look at first. Horrible! Bought a used car, was told mechanic checked it out. In 2 months we have had to put over 1500 dollars in repairs! Was told things like, "I don't want to sell anyone a problem" and oh yeah air conditioner works great, mechanic tested it! A question we specially asked as it was below freezing when we looked at it and to cold to test it out. Typical car salesman, will say anything to get his sale! When we called him and let him know air conditioning condenser had a whole in it,his response was he had issues with that mechanic not checking stuff out and that other buyers were having issues. He did not offer to fix the condenser. Since then we have had clamp missing on transmission cooler line, hose came off leaked all tranny fluid out, lucky didn't ruin the tranny! Idler pulley worn out and bolt on it not tightened, oh and now we figured out why the windshield wiper doesn't work there is a crack in the fluid reservoir, really obvious one "mechanic" should have noticed, unless he was blind. Makes me wonder if he really has mechanic check them out or just says he does and then blames mechanical issues on fictionary mechanic! He knew this car was being bought for first time driver and didn't even have the decency to not sell her a piece of crap. Vehicle has sat waiting on parts for over half the time we have owned it. Very frustrated, Don't trust a car salesman even if he sounds like like a nice guy! Lesson learned, just hope my review will make other people think twice about buying anything from this place. read more

We purchased a Subaru from Steve a few months back, and before we could make the second payment we had to drop another almost $2,000 into it for repairs. Still having issues with the vehicle mechanically. Would not recommend dealing with them. read more

What a great experience with Steve. We came from out of town and test drove. We purchased the Subaru and found out the AC did not work. Steve had us bring it back to his mechanic, and the problem was bigger than expected so he made it right. He stands behind his word and is such a great guy to work with. I would highly recommend buying a car from him!! read more

DO NOT TRUST! I was close to buying a car from Steve. however, when I was test driving it the check engine light came on. When I came back two days later to take it to a dealer to have a mechanic give it a safety check the light was off. When I asked the dealer what had caused the light to come on they said had no idea because all of the error code history had been cleared and the check engine light had been reset (Illegal?). In short, he tried to cover up that there could be something seriously wrong with the car and then lied to me telling me "lights go on and off all the time, its nothing to worry about". When I called Steve to confront him about it hoping for some sort of explanation, he practically hung up on me... So glad I was cautious going into this thanks to the other reviews on this page. If you plan on buying from this guy make sure that you cover all your bases. He is not an honest guy. read more
