Bought a 2014 Ram Laramie form Matt at Peak, beautiful truck and I love it. Had minor issues after the sale Matt, said bring it in and we will take a look at it, I am somewhat mechanical and fixed the issue myself so no big deal. These guys have a very nice selection of quality, clean used cars at decent prices. Matt was great to deal with and would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from him in the future. Purchased a Toyota Highlander from them less than three months ago. Took it to a local mechanic to inspect it. Spent $1,100.00 on it for the inspection and a new CV Axle. But that is not the worst of it! The car had a bad head gasket in it and am now waiting to see if I have to spend 8,000.00 to replace both of them or put a new engine in it. The repair shop has NEVER had any Toyota vehicle in the several years of them being in business with this type of major problem ever!!! The repair should shop also noted that it has a new radiator which would indicate that these people were trying to mask the gasket issue! They were notified by myself and the repair shop actually got Involved for they felt it was way less than three months of purchasing this car that they felt the dealership should help out in some way. But, as expected both times in conversing with Matt, he indicated that he would have to check the maintenance record on the vehicle and call us back. He had never called us back! Beware, very nice when they are taking your money but basically told us, Screw you, you are on your own!!! read more

After I purchased the vehicle from them I found that the remote door opener (key fob) did not work. I installed a new battery and attempted to reprogram to no avail. I took it to the Toyota dealer to troubleshoot the problem. The dealer discovered that not only did the automatic door locks not work but none of the interior lights worked either. A control module had to be replaced at a cost of $1400. If you buy from them be sure to check things out thoroughly before you drive away. I made the mistake of assuming that the vehicle had been thoroughly checked out. The purchase started out as a good experience and ended unpleasantly. read more

No ridiculous up sells on undercoating and extended warranties. Our experience with Peak Cars was incredible from start to finish. We worked with Ryan, the owner, and he is as honest as they come. No pressure sales and their cars are very clean(mostly from warm weather states) and in great condition for used cars. We couldn't find what we were looking for so we just told them what we wanted down to the color, model etc. and within a couple of weeks they found one within our price range, so easy! Ryan also helped us with a few after market items we wanted as well which made it a seamless process. We live almost four hours away and Ryan went above and beyond what is expected to help make the process as easy as possible, unbelievable service, which is hard to find that these days. Hmmm. I'm not sure what to say about these reviews. I'll say a few things and then I will relate my own experiences. First, time and time again I've seen these guys bring in great car after great car and they ALWAYS seem to make sure that all the service gets done, that the tires are good, etc. Second, I feel that NO company can always foresee all the possible problems a car can have. When you buy any car you take a chance. I bought four 3/4 ton Ford trucks in about 10 years and 3 were not great... but I am mechanically inclined and felt that the fact that I had bought cheaper older trucks and early diesels at that, was in the end my own problem. Now fast forward to Ryan at Peak Cars. I had finally decided I had enough of old trucks and wanted a Toyota 4Runner. I looked at a lot but the best two or three I found were at Peak Cars. I bought a 1998 4runner with 152,000 miles on it from Ryan. I'd guess that was about 12 Years ago. Within a week or two I had a problem. I took it to Ressler and they called me 4 hours later saying I owed them $150.00 and it was still not fixed. At this point they said I would have to bring it back and they would just start replacing parts. I called Ryan and he felt bad but told me to call Keith at Rising Sun Toyota. Keith immediately knew what the problem was after I explained the symptoms. He charged me $35.00 to fix it two days later after he got the part. A simple switch in the back door was causing it. I still have that 4Runner, but it now has 338,000 miles on it. $8500.00 for almost 200,000 miles. What a deal! The car would still sell for over $4000.00 I'm sure but it's worth more than that to me. Then we went to see Ryan about a Volvo XC70 in 2012. We bought that car and have had some minor issues but all in all simple maintenance type work and replacements is all. We have put just about 100,000 miles on that car and it is still a good car. So now we are ready for another vehicle. Where would you go? Yes. We are buying an awesome 2006 Lexus GX470 from Ryan. Who else! These experiences are the only way I know Ryan but the integrity he has shown me over the years and the great car buys I've gotten have made a believer out of me! I never have any trouble getting ahold of these guys. Oh and their mechanic is awesome. He has always given me great advice! One last thing. These guys don't build a lot of profit into their deals. They will usually deal a little but they will be honest and up front and you don't have to play games. The price they ask is fair and they are usually willing to deal just a little. If you feel the need to wheel and deal and play games go somewhere else. Peak cars is there to offer a good car at a decent price. They don't play those games and I'm happy about that. I was working with one of the sales people named Matt and we we're doing a little back and forth on the price of the vehicle, this was after I had a friend come by their shop to test drive for me as I live out of state. I then made an offer that I thought was fair and he said he would call me back in 10 or so, no return call and so I tried again later and no answer, so I left a message and again no return call. Dang. I was REALLY hoping to give these guys a great review because they seemed so friendly and helpful, but the car I purchased from them had major issues which were not disclosed to me or my husband at any point during our multiple visits. Within a month of owning this car I have spent over $3000 for repairs to the head gaskets, water filter, and radiator. I am so frustrated and disheartened. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership without having a third party mechanic involved. read more

Our sales person was friendly and seemed to be helpful. We had planned to purchase a vehicle that we were told didn't have any issues according to their mechanic...well, we went to our own who told us there were several issues to the tune of a couple thousand dollars. The same thing happened with the vehicle we purchased. Overall we feel ok about the vehicle, but i would recommend that you consult your own mechanic and get an inspection. They have a mechanic on site and he is either an idiot or they will not disclose issues. They also left the Kelley Blue Book printout in our vehicle (oops) which let us know not only that they upcharged us a crazy amount (why not?) But how much they paid for it. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I believe that this one is worthy of a review for everyone out there considering buying a car from Peak Cars. I found a vehicle on craigslist that they were selling and the title of the ad claimed the vehicle was a 2006, however in the description the vehicle was listed as a 2005. So I went to their actual website and it was listed as a 2006 and the description also said it was a 2006. So I figured no big deal it was just a typo. So I called and talked to a salesman and asked him about the year and told him what his ads said and he said that it was indeed a 2005, not a 2006. After trying to ask him a few questions I finally gave up because I was not getting much information from the gentleman. The ad further claimed that the vehicle had power windows, power locks, and only 2 owners. However about a week later I had a family member look at the vehicle for me since I am out of town and he found out that the vehicle did not have power windows, or power locks, and it had 4 previous owners, not 2. My family member asked about the year of the vehicle and the gentleman said that it was a 2005 and that they may have made a typo on the ads, granted this was a week after I had already called them and told them their ad was incorrect. I am trying to be as polite and honest about this review as possible. I do not appreciate the fact that the vehicle was not as described and would not consider these mistakes in their ads to be "typos." For these reasons I will not be doing business with Peak Cars. read more
