I went to the studio for snake bites. As soon as we walk in you can tell it's a comfortable and welcoming place. There weren't many clients when we first came in (more people arrived later), so the artists were hanging out in the lobby, everyone talking. It was nice! The lady at the front desk walked me through the different jewelry to choose from and was very nice. When it was my turn to get my piercing, Vee brought me back and told me everything that was going to happen during the piercing. Vee was very funny and she made it very comfortable for me (I was a little nervous). This was my first piercing at a studio but I assume she is a very experienced artist because it barely hurt, and it's on its second day of healing and looks great! She also spent a lot of time making sure they were perfect which I appreciate. I will be coming back and I recommend Blue Rose!! read more

Update: got my money back after posting this review. Changed from 1 star to 2 stars since I still only got excuses for the time wasted and no draft of a tattoo. So I stopped by this shop on a Monday afternoon and met Dro who seemed pretty cool. I ended up deciding on a tattoo idea and he and I agreed on an appointment about a week out. I paid double the required deposit plus an additional $100 the next day in good faith. When Friday came around I heard nothing from dro. No emails no call no update nothing. So I called and after his sister took a message refusing to provide his email address, he called me back around 10pm telling me he had been busy with other tattoos. He said he'd get me the draft by the next day. Guess what happened... shocker no communication or tattoo design. So I roll up there and ask for my deposit back. The sister lies telling me he finished it already, he lies telling me he started it and they both refuse to give my full deposit back. Don't waste your time or money here. I'd bet there are much more talented artists who have better time management skills a mile in any direction you look. And they do what they say. read more

Went recently and was greeted and met with in a friendly manner. Customer service was exceptional, but customer friendliness was not. Paid $120 for 4 letters less than half an inch, cursive, tiny, and simple. Ive gotten multiple opinions, including Ink Master contestants, tell me I was robbed and shouldnt have paid more than $20 at most per letter, the other tattoo artist working there even seemed dumbfounded by the price. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to pay at least %30 more than you would anywhere else. Hopefully y'all review your pay scaling and become more friendly to people not looking for extravagant pieces. read more

I had a really bad experience at this place many years ago and swore I would never come back and give them business. Tonight though my boyfriend and I wanted to get some piercings and went to 3 other places that were either closed or didn't have a piercer on the clock. Decided to give this place another chance and I definitely don't regret it . Got two piercings done by a nice woman named Tex. She was professional and matter of fact. This was my first time getting a piercing from this place and I must say I was very happy with my piercings which were done by Texas. Texas was very gentle and made me feel comfortable during my piercing. I also returned for more piercings soon after and I definitely recommend this spot. This place exceeded our expectations! My daughter has wanted to get her ears pierced and I did my research and decided I wanted her to have a needle verses a piercing gun. My initial experience here was good but I got a tattoo here in October and it's now November, myself and 2 friends got tattoos together and the ink has came out of half of my tattoo. Got a cartridge piercing done on a day they were running a $20 piercing sale. (I had no idea) until I got to the shop. My piercing was done by a young girl probably an apprentice, she did a good job with the piercing however had put a super long flat back in my ear. I didn't think much of it until I got home and realized that it was sticking so far out of my ear it was getting caught on EVERYTHING!! I was in so much pain but waited until 2 weeks I went back and and explained how it was super uncomfortable. I offered to pay for different jewelry but was told she had nothing else to put in my ear. So I go home and try to take it off and realize she had put it on so tight I couldn't take it off! My ear was red swollen and angry. I eventually got so frustrated, I go back a third time and tell her to take it out cause I'm done. She realizes I'm pissed at this point and asks the other guy if he wants to change the jewelry. He says no and continues playing on his phone. She takes me to the back and realizes she can't even unscrew it and has to use tools . She finally gets it off and then tells me she won't charge me for it since I had problems. LIKE AS IF, I WOULDN'T HAVE PAID FOR IT REGARDLESS. Wouldn't even had to go back so many times had she not messed up. Worst piercing experience ever and I've had my belly button, nipples, nose and lips pierced. I've gotten several tattoos over the years, at several different locations. I have to say, my experience at Blue Rose was far and above the best experience, not to mention the best tattoos, that I've had. I emailed Lo on a monday about getting two tattoos on friday. We exchanged some emails, I sent him sample pics and discussed my desired budget, and friday afternoon I went in to see what he'd designed for me. Firstly I was impressed with how clean, friendly, and comfortable the shop was. When Lo showed me the tattoos he'd designed for me, I was blown away. They are beautiful tattoos, really well done and EXACTLY what I wanted even considering our simple email exchanges. But they were also larger than I had expected for my price range, and he also included some amazing color into them. Plainly put, every expectation I had was exceeded tremendously. During my time in the chair it was a great combination of friendly, comfortable, and professional. Lo is serious about his craft, but he's also very easy-going and easy to chat with. The whole crew there felt like they were best friends just hanging out, exchanging stories, and even though I was a client they'd just met I was included in the conversations and there was no awkwardness about it. I'm going back in a few weeks to finish the color on one of the tattoos, and I'm already planning on bringing a group of my friends in to check out the shop and talk to them about getting some ink themselves. I highly recommend this place, I cannot stress that enough. I have already recommended it to many of my friends who were thinking about getting tattoos, and I hope that anyone who reads this will consider Blue Rose for their tattoo needs. The pricing is very, very reasonable for the amazing quality you will get, and the atmosphere is so welcoming I can't even compare it to the other tattoo studios I've been to over the years. I paid my deposit and got back to me immediately that same week and even when I went in to look at the tattoo it was everything plus more and to top it off Lionel got me in the same day even stayed after closing to finish my tattoo.
