This Dick's is much bigger than my usual Summerville one. The shoe section is huge though it is set up a little weird. My husband got a nice pair of Saucony running shoes on sale for $40. If you're looking for the bathroom, it's back by the archery and hunting stuff (looking back from the front of the store it's in the back left corner). We had to ask because we're used to it being more clearly marked and on the back right side. I thought this store had a good selection of different sports stuff - everything from pickleball to soccer to golf. read more

If you need to get a specific item they have everything in the store very well organized and it is easy to find. I like the outdoors section here as they have a lot of good items to make your next trip a success. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable as they can find just about any item for you or order it or answer just about any question you may have. The store is always clean and well maintained and I like the smell inside. I needed some add-ons for my home gym and ordered online for pick up. Both times the pick up did not go as smooth as expected. Instead of the quick in and out like other retailers I spent nearly 10 minutes while the employee tried to get my order processed. Sadly Dick's is the only major Sporting goods store near me so I like it or not have to deal with them. I will not ever order online for pick up as it is not worth the hassle. I am going to check to see if they have my item then go and pick it up. It will be faster. They do have a decent selection but their prices are on the high side compared to other retailers selling the same items. Specifically the clothes section. I only buy gym equipment which I have found when they have a coupon deal and or money off promotion is well worth the stop. read more

I'm familiar with Dick's from living on the west coast, so when my treadmill could no longer support my workout routine, Dick's was one of the first options I considered. We stopped in on Saturday morning. The store is spacious, clean, and a gentleman greeted us right away. He directed us to the corner of the store where the treadmills were displayed, and indicted a specific staff member would come to help us in a few minutes. Not too much later, the gentleman (Scott, the manager) indicated the staff member was still tied up with another customer, and he would assist us. While you'll find a wide array of product lines for other goods, Dicks didn't have too many treadmills to choose from. Only two had a motor size that fit one of my criteria. Of those two, I could not get my hand's around one brand's arms. I could comfortably hold or rest my hands on the alternate model. We went to determine what the delivery and setup options were, but could not get that info directly from their system with that particular model. So we left and Scott indicated he would reach out to the person who handles delivery and get a time frame for us. He did follow up after only an hour or so. The delivery/assembly person was out of town, but could get to us at the end of the coming week (Friday). We didn't end up buying from Dick's; an alternate vendor had a model that worked perfectly and I had this one home and in place the very next day. However, I appreciate Scott's customer service and he did exactly what he said he'd do, so we'll be back for other products. read more

Although I enjoy Dick's selection of athletic clothing and shoes, I'm always on my own in this store. It's next to impossible to find and get knowledgeable assistance, especially in the shoe department. I've been in this store at least a dozen times and have had the same issue each time. There's a huge selection of footwear for men and women, but it defies logic. It is more organized by brand than by sport. Socks are everywhere, too. I cannot even tell you what else they sell, because I've never gotten that far. My frustration sends me shopping elsewhere. read more

I understand that Charleston doesn't really have "winter", but I was super disappointed to not be able to find snow goggles at the store during the actual winter season for many other places. There was a seasonal selection of snow coats and pants and gloves and hats, but no goggles. read more

It's nice to have a another sporting goods store close by. The store is a good size, we found everything we were looking for. Descent selection on shoes and workout attire. The tennis section is pretty non existent. I didn't see a single employee until we got to the check out counter though. Not super impressed but it's better then nothing or driving to north Charleston. read more

My first trip to this store was not successful. I wanted to buy a kayak and two salesmen did nothing to help or inform me. The first answered a few basic questions but then had to take a "conference call" and left me with a man who couldn't sell ice to an Eskimo! THEN I returned the next day, armed with my own online research. What a great experience! This young man was VERY knowledgeable and friendly, even bringing out another kayak from the back so I could see the color. I think his name was Brian and I wish he were on commission because his customer service was A+. I bought a more expensive kayak than I originally planned and a paddle! read more

Recently visited the newly opened store in Mt Pleasant with plans to purchase items seen in the weekly add (fishing tackle box, lures and fishing pole 20%off). Bad mistake, total waste of my time. Found the tackle boxes, however the size I was interested in was on TOP shelf. A young salesman did get ladder to retrieve for me, then disappeared. There was a good selection of fishing poles and lures but NO SIGNS IDENTIFIED ANY SALE ITEMS, even the end caps! NONE!!! I selected a tackle box and took to register to check out. Sale price did not ring up-of course. Showed cashier the flyer. He contacted a manager to ask if he could adjust price. I told him I wanted to shop for more items before checking out and returned to find sales help for the lures and poles. No one in site. read more

Purchased a ping pong table from this store and paid $160 to have it delivered 9 miles to my house. I took time off work on the delivery date and patiently sat home during my delivery window. A lady called me at 12:15p to ask how the delivery went, I told her it never happened. Then 1:30p I called the carrier myself to be offered a new 3 hour window. We called the store and just got a refund. Huge disappointment and a big waste of time. read more

Horrible customer service. The girl in the sneaker section never once offered to help me but she was not short on dirty looks or gossip with coworkers. I had a great experience at this store buying an activity tracker. An associate spotted me looking at Fitbits and asked if he could help. His name was Nicholas. He went through all the options with me and I got the one I needed. He then helped me with my $20 off coupon that I printed out and I was done in about 10 minutes. read more
