Tia added some great ideas to our vision. We also updated our irrigation system for our front and backyard. She asked us great question for us to consider a few things we had not thought about. ALD and Tina were willing to work with us using some stone we had purchased for our design. Tina was a great project manager keeping us informed and the project team direction as needed. The landscape core team did an outstanding job on bringing the actual design to life. The high quality and pride taken in the work the completed was outstanding. The competed project was done in the time frame in our work agreement. It looks fantastic!! We couldn't be more happy. I would highly recommend Tia and team at American Landscape & Design. Their quote was reasonable for the level of work needed in our project.

Steve and team came in and installed pavers, updated the firepit, rebuilt the retaining wall and steps giving the whole patio a new modern look. The surrounding landscape was refreshed with color and privacy in mind. Rain and snow drainage was a priority in the design to ensure we aren't dealing with a problem down the road. The team was timely, professional and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely call upon them again.

I hired Aspenwood to tear out and replace 4300 square feet of sod. Josiah came out to quote the job and his pricing was competitive. He was also successful in convincing me to consider a new strain of rhizomatous tall fescue over blue grass, with the former being resistant to drought and requiring less water to maintain. It looks great! His crew worked extremely hard and paid attention to detail while completing the project. Aspenwood had the right equipment to do an excellent job in soil prep, which included 15 tons of soil treatment. At the completion of the project, Omar (their crew chief) was meticulous in adjusting the sprinkler heads to their original state. Aspenwood Landscape is involved in other forms of landscaping, and I will be using them again in the future.

CAUTION: I'm truly baffled how this company stays afloat. Dealing with them has been the worst…read morecontractor experience, and I've flipped three homes in the last 2 years and have worked with many contractors. Sonny seemed professional and reasonable during the quote but then quickly came on strong, rushing a deposit via Venmo and attempted to tack on a processing fee after the fact, then overcharged to correct their initial shoddy work. The work crew drank on the job, leaving beer cans and Burger King trash in my yard, neglecting to stow their equipment between work days. They consistently cut corners and aimed to overcharge at every opportunity. Originally, I was quoted for cedar wood, but they installed cedar tone for my fence, which won't endure Colorado's conditions and is significantly cheaper. They eventually corrected this. Another section of my fence was meant to be repaired, but they left the stakes I had put in temporarily to support it, making me severely question the quality of work. They quoted me for rocks around the trees, but they used mulch instead also significantly cheaper, and neither this nor any compensation was provided. Lastly, I was told I'd get 6-foot spruce trees, but they planted 3-foot ones. I received $100 per tree as compensation which probably doesn't compare to the actual cost difference in supplies. This all happened in May 2023. By October 2023, the trees had perished, the grass wasn't receiving even watering, and unsurprisingly, Sonny never responded, despite this supposedly being within the one-year warranty. Also, it's worth noting that the drip line isn't on its own zone, probably contributing to the trees and grass not being properly watered. Overall, every single part of this project so far has been a complete regret. I strongly recommend avoiding Sonnydaze and considering other options for your projects. I will also be reaching out to the licensing company with high concern for lack of qualified site staff.

We have done numerous house projects with other companies and Mile High is by far the worst of any we've ever worked with. It's not even close. The issues we experienced are too many to count. Our Landscape Architect and Project Manager had a falling out with the owners and walked off the job on Day 1, setting everything back. The owners assumed project management and were clueless about the project and so much was lost in transition. It resulted in tons of issues, missed handoffs, cost escalations, delays, and frustrations for us as the customer. The owners are not serious, professional people and they do not have a customer focus. They don't own their work and will not be accountable for results. They will tell you they will provide updates and will then go dark. We had a big party at our house and before the project started, we said it had to be done in time for the event, and we were told "no problem at all" as the project would only be 4-6 weeks, and of course it took more than 8 weeks and our backyard was a mess for the event. They'll tell you anything to initiate a project and ensure that all bills are paid on time, but are extremely unreliable when it comes to delivering. It is extremely frustrating to work with this company and you, as the customer, will have to constantly stay on top of them and the work. You'll find yourself asking why are you even paying them (especially paying a premium)! Heed this advice and do not work with Mile High Landscaping. You will be sorry if you do.
