been to multiple nail salons in the Parker and Aurora area for a decade and I would not recommend coming to this salon unless you want to have a painful over-priced manicure, repeatedly ask to have your nails the shape you want them, all while getting attitude back for telling the techs what you want. Kristy personally assisted me on July 22, 2021. I came in with a girlfriend and I asked for a square dip nail set that came out horrendous. The set was not sharp, bumpy, incredibly uneven, and thick. She got nail glue on my fingers as well as cut me during my manicure. I complained about how they were not even multiple times but she made me feel like I was crazy. It is only a day after and they are already wearing down. On top of that I over heard my girlfriend asking her nail tech as well if she could make her nails straight because they were too round, when she asked for square as well. These are the results of the nails I payed $60 for. This place is inconsistent and has gone downhill significantly over the past 6 months. It used to be a pretty good place with nice people and quality service. Now, they barely say hello when you come in and are constantly trying to upsell you. When you don't upgrade your service, the attitude turns pretty dismissive and negative and they act like you're not worth their time and they kind of go through the motions without much else. Every once in a while you'll get someone good...make sure you ask for them in the future or you're taking a gamble. The quality of service is hit or miss and you never know when you're going to get the crummy attitude and/or mediocre service. They do tear up your cuticles and tend to generally glob on the polish so it doesn't look smooth all the time and don't get your heels smooth either. My friends have all had bad experiences at Blue Sky and won't go there anymore and now I've finally had enough too. There are so many good nail salons in the area, I wouldn't waste my money or time here. Give your hard earned money for a better service elsewhere, provided by people who appreciate you as a customer and do a good job. read more

David is the absolute best nail technicIan. He has been my go to for several years. I moved 45 minutes away and still travel back to see David every three weeks. He makes sure that my nails are always healthy. He currently does acrylic nails for me and they are thin and natural. He and his wife, Cindy are experts in dip nails too. I would love to have either one of them for a pedicure because of the time and attention they give me as an individual. This salon has improved more and more over the years!! LOVE this salon! It is clean, updated and great prices! Lynn does a 5 star job every time! She's friendly and very attentive! I usually go in during the week after work and am able to sit right down. I make appointments because I want Lynn but there are always other girls available. They have a great gel polish selection! LOVE LOVE LOVE! ALSO! They use sanitary & sealed tools! For pedicures they put a fancy trash bag in the fountain. You get to keep the files & buffers used during your pedicure! I came to this Blue Sky Lounge on their second day of being open for a pedicure and to catch up on some work emails. The salon is nice inside and they have massage chairs. They seemed to follow good sanitary practices, which is very important to me. Compared to other salons in the surrounding area, this place seems more expensive. They really encourage their most expensive pedicure, but I chose a pedicure called the "Florida", which was a basic pedicure with a scrub and massage for $32, plus an additional $5 for French polish. The water was cold, but maybe they ran out of hot water since it was their grand opening. They also said that it takes too long for the water to drain out, in order to fill he basin with warmer water. It would've been cool if they knocked off the extra $5 for French, since the water was cold. If having access to your phone is important to you...I have AT&T for my cell service and I had NO service in this salon I was told that they do not offer free WiFi to customers. read more

I think the key to going here is having a relationship with someone that you trust and always using that technician. I've had some great manicures here, but the bad far outweigh the good. The last straw for me was two days ago when I went in for a gel manicure. I kept trying to nicely tell the tech that she was putting the polish on top of my cuticles and even my fingers beside my nails, which meant it was going to lift and peel quickly. First of all, she didn't understand what I was telling her even though her English was decent, and second, two days later, my polish is all lifted from my nails and peeling off. I even asked the woman at the checkout counter "don't you think this will peel off in a few days?" She just giggled and said that she didn't know. So, I probably won't go back here. They have way too many untrained people and not enough to properly trained people. It's a waste of $40 plus tip to only have my nails done for 2 days. I'm really unhappy. On the plus side, it's a beautiful and clean salon. I used to go to the nail salon at the Gardens at Havana for several years until we moved near Southlands. I'm going to starting going back to that one instead. I had good experiences there. read more

I booked an online appt with Kim, only to learn that she didn't work on Mondays even after I called to confirm. I really needed the manicure, so they placed me with Sofia. It seems different nail stylists charge different fees depending on who you see. I've had dip nails with Blue Sky before and the price was $45 and it included gel topcoat and a very nice hand massage. Nothing like that today. I was charged 45 dip color and then another $5 for the dip with no gel cover. Just plain top coat. So it really depends on who you see as to the total price of dip nails. My family and I have been coming here for years. Although we've had a good experience for the most part, we have continued to have issues with Holly. Every time we have had her she talks badly about us to her coworkers, knowing my mom understands Vietnamese. Today was our last straw with her. My brother came in to get his toes done and she made a comment to her coworker about him being gay. This is absolutely unacceptable. She made extremely homophobic comments about my brother getting his toes done. She has been talked to before about speaking badly about customers and nothing seems to get done. Because lately my experiences have been terrible. Then they did the acrylic over her cuticles, never pushed them back or removed with the file tool. They also forgot to geltop one of her nails and the paint was bubbling an hour after she was done. And then her husband said he was too busy so they put me with someone else who was just sitting there. The lady who did my pedicure was extremely aggressive and because I was reacting when it was hurting she kept asking if I was ok and I said it was hurting and then proceeded to tell me that next time I should just get a polish change if I'm so sensitive (which I am not). It has been my go-to place for a pedicure in the past, but the upselling has become too much. Just so aggressive. I once splurged on the lavender pedicure and the warm neck pillow smelled of feet, not of lavender. Today once I firmly stated I just wanted the basic California pedicure, no gel, no design, no manicure, I was rushed through. My pedicure was completed 4 hours ago and I have two chips already. Here is the deal...I could spend more on my nails, but I don't enjoy excessive chemicals, UV lights, etc. I tried the dipping for awhile at this place, but it is $45 each time and the last rebase took 75 minutes. I don't have time for that. But I do enjoy an occasional pedicure, and should not be penalized for being more basic in my preferences. So very sad to write this. I used to love this salon, but I had such a bad experience I won't ever be going back. My family and I came in to get pedicures and manicures. They kept trying to upsell my elderly aunt to get a CBD pedicure which was over $100. I kept letting them know that she wanted basic but they kept pushing. Then there was a male nail tech who was doing another family members pedicure that kept trying to upsell her to get gel. When I made it very clear that we all want basic he got rude and kept trying to the upsale even after I had been clear. They tried really hard to get more money out of us. I've gone here 3 times now. Each time it's very busy. I've had great service except for today. The girl who was doing my daughters nails seemed very irritated by her. She was rude and then my daughter ended up getting cut three times. Her finger took a while to stop the bleeding. We will go back, but will refuse to see the girl who did my daughters nails today.
