This required extra time, effort, and resources on his part, but he didn't hesitate -- and that kind of integrity earns real trust. (Ok I needed directions) After a short visit with the front desk staff, I was not only welcomed but they were able to help me with finding a financial solution so that I could afford to get my smile back! I went to 5 other dental offices that offered free consultations before finding Del Mar. I was told that I would have to pay an average cost of $20,000+ and it was months before I could get in. So when I found Del Mar Family dental & was treated by Dr. Lucas, & dental assistant Tess, I was beyond impressed! The quality of care as well as the amount of time they spent listening and treating me was so remarkable. I think it's fair to say that patients BIGGEST fears about dental appointments is the PAIN... I have never had a dentist treat me with such minimal pain especially the Novocain injection!! The practice presented both of us with treatment plans recommending thousands of dollars in dental work. We found this suspicious given that we had seen our previous dentist only six months prior with no major issues flagged. ​Once we received their recommended treatment plans in writing, we sought a second opinion from another dentist. As it turns out, none of the proposed work was actually necessary. We understand that clinical philosophies can vary from dentist to dentist, but the aggressive hard sell and excessive treatment recommendations made us extremely uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

I was highly anxious about going to the dentist again, and very concerned about the cost. I saw Dr. LePera and she was terrific. She recommended a much more conservative course of treatment for my dental issues than a dentist with a flashy office in Denver, and also set up a plan and pricing so that I could address immediate needs and identify which could wait the longest. Dr. Belegratis took out my wisdom teeth only a week and a half ago and even though this sounds weird, it was a really positive experience. They were so professional and considerate and I felt more tired afterward than any pain. The staff there is friendly and incredibly considerate. I've also had my teeth cleaned there and all the hygienists are amazing. This is SUCH a great office for someone who has lots of anxiety about going, or is afraid of the pain of treatment. They are always willing to talk it through and work to proactively make you comfortable and happy while you're there - small things like noise-cancelling headphones with music from your own phone or ipad, or big things like making sure you have the right amount of anesthesia. Even the waiting room is designed to relax you, it's a little generic but the lighting is low and the temperature comfortable. I have now convinced several of my dentist-phobic friends to go there (and several of them to get dental insurance, which Greenwood accepts). I only wish I'd known about them sooner! I can't imagine I'll ever go anywhere else.

I do believe it is illegal to record/listen/spy on individuals without their knowledge in an office. I was sent a certified letter, which had some else's name on it, so the post office would not allow me to pick it up. When the office manager emailed me a copy of the letter. The letter said circumstances has brought them to release me as a patient. When I spoke to the office manager she claimed I made a comment that was derogatory, but would not tell me what the comment was and it was not listed in the letter. Unfortunately, I had recently had a root-canal done and the crown that was put in is still causing me problems, however, I do not feel comfortable going back to Greenwood Dental Associates. Especially since the office manager would not explain what I said or did wrong. I liked DR. LePera and I don't believe she was aware of what the office manager had done, because she wanted me to schedule another appointment. In conclusion, make sure you do not talk to anyone at Greenwood Dental Associates and if they leave you in a room by yourself keep your mouth shut.
