Great brewery with Fire Engine Red and B-17 Blonde being my favorites. The stone oven pizza is a must have as well! Many options to choose from with their signature pizzas or go for a build your own to make your pizza unique! Service is always Great too, may have to be patient if really busy, but try another beer and don't be intimidated by the jalapeño beer, it was good too. Art work showcases Salina's history and the B-17 Blonde is a reference to the old Schilling Air Force Base here during World War II. Strong Work Blue Skye!!! read more

My husband and I stopped in this place 2/28/24 on a cross country trip. The beer at Blue Sky was excellent. 5 stars. We shared 4 different beers. All were excellent. We ordered the wood fired pizza and waited quite awhile which was fine as the beer was good! The taste was decent however it came out barely warm. 1 star. Very disappointing. For a pizza that is supposedly baked at 700 degrees we can only assume the bartender didn't deliver as soon as it was baked?? She wasn't very attentive and spent a lot of time talking to some ladies at the end of the bar. When driving through next year we might eat elsewhere and stop here for a beer. read more

Stopped in here for a quick bite after driving to the middle of Kansas. Pleasant place with a large number of easily viewed television screens. We got a couple of the pizzas - chicken bacon ranch and andouille sausage. Interesting options, but a guess they decided why go for traditional pizza choices when you're not a pizza parlor. Anyway, they were thin crust pizzas, and the crusts held up well with the toppings. The chicken bacon ranch was quite savory, with the ranch being a more pizza appropriate blend. If you like pesto, then get the andouille sausage choice. Both were pretty good and satisfying. read more

Ran across this place based on a review from another website and was not disappointed. Cool little spot in the downtown region of Salina in an older building. Pizza has a little more crust than what I prefer, but when you eat it with some honey you notice it is lighter than what you would expect. read more

Had a couple of their specialty pizzas over the last couple visits and both times were perfect much better than I expected. First time the service wasn't great but they were very busy so it was expected but the food more than made up for it the second time I called it in to go and again the food was fantastic. read more

We showed up on a Friday night and wow so did everyone else in Salina! We managed to find two stools at the bar. Service was absolutely on point and this place was jam packed. We tried a flight and a pint. The ipa was good but the star was probably the jalapeño cream ale. Dynamite. Then the bar tender offered us the jalapeño cream ale with their house made Bloody Mary mix. Wow. Outstanding. Food was great as well. We met some great local folks that just added to our experience. We'd be regulars if we lived here. Two thumbs up from us. read more

A large space with loud acoustics. The place was packed on a Saturday evening and our waitress was busy, but stayed on top of everything. The kitchen also got our food out promptly. Awesome to see a place running efficiently while very busy! My wife said her fish and chips were awesome. My Bang Bang shrimp tacos were filled with shrimp, but a little to much creamy topping making them hard to keep together and covering the spicy shrimp flavor. Onion rings were good. My Watermelon Crawl beer was a perfect summer libation! If I lived in Salina, I would frequent this place and would love to try more of the beers. read more

Reminder: Complacency can ruin any business. I ignored the first red flag: a poor health department score. Upon our recent visit, a chalkboard requested that we seat ourselves. Not seeing servers upon the floor and available tables being covered by the dishes of previous customers, we chose the bar. Dirty dishes lined the bar too. After not being acknowledged by either bartender for over five minutes, overcooked food being served to other customers and realizing how the FOH needed a deep cleaning -- we left (and we witnessed other potential customers retreat too). Went here on Friday, 9/15. Service was good, food was terrible. Wife and I both ordered burgers. Patties were clearly frozen pre-made patties. Overcooked, dry, no flavor. Buns were stale and fell apart. There was nothing to the burger at all. Daughter ordered pizza and it was bland, hard to chew. Not good. The only thing that was good was the bread they served with the hummus. That was amazing. The hummus itself was terrible texture, weird flavor and the veggies they served with it looked like they should have been thrown away. We were traveling through and saw this #1 rated place on 3 different sites. Seeing how we are not local, the fact that this place is listed as the top dining spot in a city with a population of roughly 47,000, may say more about the community than the establishment itself. Hard to say since we have not stopped in Salina in a very long time. For starters, I ordered a Red Wheat Irish beer. I would really like to give kudos to the brewmaster, but alas, I never got my beer. The waitress did recognize this when I was about half done with my meal, but I told her that I did not want it now. The food... I ordered namesake cheeseburger and fries and my wife had the fish and chips. Both orders came out hot. Nothing special about the fish and chips. The cheeseburger however was not really good. I am appalled that this is their meal that carries their name!! The bun was nice and fresh, but the beef patty is obviously a preformed frozen patty that was overcooked and dry!! The service was nearly as disappointing. Our waitress was quick to take our order but never really paid any attention to us. I had to flag her down to ask for some silverware and that is when she noticed that I did not have my beer! So, if the #1 establishment on Yelp is this place, then what does that say about Salina?? As for the ambiance, it is essentially a bar/restaurant. Lots of people, lots of noise. read more

The staff at BSB&E is the very best Salina can offer. We have been going there from the very first day they opened. Most of the folks working there have become friends. Loud as hell, food is hit or miss. Been there three times, and the only consistency was the noise and the jagoff servers who are truly terrible. Only got food poisoning once, but I'm not much of a numbers guy, so I'm not sure if that's a good percentage or not. I travel to Salina once a month for work. I went to Blue Skye for the first time three months ago and loved it! I've gone to Blue Skye each month since. I've tried something different each time. This is a very good microbrewery and pizza place in the heart of downtown Salina. The pizzas there are pretty good I've been there many times and have tried everything from the peanut butter burger to the Thai chicken pizza. The Thai chicken pizza would be the best one that I would suggest for purchasing well here. The variety of beers is pretty extensive it worth a shot. The peanut butter burger is unique but I would not necessarily recommend them. The service was friendly and courteous. read more
