Despite this, Sam, the owner and guide for the trip provided us with an unforgettable experience. We started off with a visit to a dispensary. The staff at the dispensary was extremely knowledgable, and our product was discounted, as we were with a tour. We then stopped for food at food trucks up on the Northeast side of town. We then ventured to Multnomah Falls, which were absolutely beautiful. We ended with a trip to a coffee roaster, and then were dropped back off where were staying. I highly recommend this tour company! Sam was very friendly, knowledgable, and funny. Smoking on the bus was awesome, and the drive to Multnomah Falls was absolutely beautiful.

Probably because our guide, Christopher, was AMAZING! I cannot rave about him enough! He took us around Portland and showed us the different areas. His energy and personality was so great, he really made the tour as much fun as possible. He even let us have a pit stop to Blue Star Donuts, which was a nice little break! The Segways were super easy to use and Christopher was a great teacher and made sure everyone felt comfortable at all times. I was very nervous at first but after a couple of turns I felt like a pro! (Kind of, I may have let out mini screams coming off of the sidewalks lol). We had a fairly small group, there was about 7 of us. I was nervous for the first 5 minutes of waiting for my riders lesson, but was comfortable the second I stepped onto my "Mall Cop" mobile. 13 mph seems slow, until you're whipping around on city streets at that pace. Once you get going though, you get a total feel of Badassness. If there is such a thing...on a Segway. I would recommend the Portland Segway tour to anyone - in the summertime - with a Bucket List.

Since we had multiple stops and there were 15 of us including 3 toddlers, it would have been a huge hassle to call so many Ubers/Lyfts. Not to mention all the heavy car seats that we would have had to carry with us to each location. My solution: renting a private bus! I reached out to multiple shuttle companies, but Shanghai really stood out to me. Dusty responded almost immediately and was very helpful in providing details about their pricing and buses. While my main goal was really just to safely and efficiently get my group to the various spots, it was a plus that Shanghai's bus also included a karaoke machine. Once we decided on the terms and details, Dusty sent over a contract within the next few days. The morning of our ride, Dusty texted to let me know our bus was on the way. Our driver, Ron, arrived a few minutes early, so by our reservation start time, we were all set to go. He was professional, kind and drove cautiously. As it was raining, I appreciated that he dropped us off as close as he safely could at each location, and then picked us back up when we were ready to continue to the next spot. The cooler was also stocked with ice, as promised. We ended up riding the Solid Gold bus, which is literally a converted school bus. I must admit this was very different from our typical sprinter party bus experience. For one, I had never ridden a party bus with kids before, and blasting "Wheels On The Bus" instead of dance music was such a different vibe. Lol! The bus was unique and had a vintage feel -- very Portland. Given our situation, I actually preferred this over the dark, tinted windows of the sprinters we are used to. The Solid Gold allowed us to see the city during our rides. We got a lot of stares every time we pulled up to a donut shop or brewery, but it was a fun experience. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids who now point out every bus that passes by on the street and say they want to go back to the party bus!

He was very attentive and wanted to get a vibe for what the group (6 women) wanted and enjoys in life - all so HE could plan 2 amazing days at wineries in the greater Portland area. After the chat, we netted out on two full days (8 hrs each day. We survived by the way.) in June. He picked us up right at our Airbnb (Pearl) in a comfortable van with lots of room and already had the jams playing (his 90s/00s playlist is ON POINT). For the first day, we went out to the Mt. Hood area which was beyond beautiful (don't think I've ever seen a winery with a majestic mountain as a back drop). I highly recommend this route as it has more of a mom & pop feeling than other major wine areas I've visited (especially if you can do multiple days in this region). You also get a wider range of varietals vs. Willamette (not knocking W.V. AT ALL as I'm a Pinot Noir gal). Cedric completely planned the entire day and we hit up 4 different wineries and none disappointed. He also grabbed us lunch which was fantastic. The drive is beautiful along the Colombia River. Dropped off at our place in the Pearl. Day 2 (the following day) we hit up the famous Willamette Valley. We had a couple last minute requests (in terms of must-have wineries) that Cedric completely accommodated and he re-routed our day to ensure we hit the best of the best. He worked his magic and we were able to visit FIVE (!), including the last stop where we chatted with the owner/winemaker while playing bocce ball (Utopia wines). It was a fantastic day. We visited some big players like Domaine Serene (YES) and Stoller (great for a picnic lunch), but also some smaller but beautiful wineries like Colene Clemens (top of hill overlooking valley) and Vista Hills (think tree house vibes). Cedric promised a magical day and he delivered. This was by far my favorite wine tour experience and I've done a lot of them across the country/world. Cedric was the difference maker. He's a fantastic and hilarious host and truly makes the experience one to remember. His company has other drivers as well and I imagine they are of the same breed as Mr. Cedric, so no matter who you get, you won't be disappointed!!

Recently used PDX Elite on a round trip Beaverton / airport trip and they were fantastic. Cars were…read morespacious and very clean. The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. We are customers for life!

Everything we own packed was into seven suitcases, and so we needed help to get from the airport to our hotel in Salem. The choice was an Uber, which would not have worked for our situation, or a luxury car service. Hewar was wonderful from when I first called him to arrange our trip. He was attentive and patient, even when I called him multiple times with questions. The manager, Rasheem, met us at baggage claim. Our driver, Zhieco, was professional and friendly. He helped us get our (very heavy) luggage into the hotel. On the other hand, the company I called first did not give me a chance to explain why we needed help at baggage claim. As soon as he heard that, he immediately said he couldn't help me. He threatened to post my phone number online when I wrote him a one-star review. I was shocked. I would've taken it down, regardless, because I don't post bad reviews. So, I was especially glad to talk with Hewar on my second phone call. I highly recommend Elite. If I ever need a service like this again, I will for sure call Hewar.
