I left one review on Trip Advisor but not everyone uses that so I wanted to leave a review on here…read moreas well! That's how amazing it was! My mom and I had SO MUCH FUN on this Segway tour. Probably because our guide, Christopher, was AMAZING! I cannot rave about him enough! He took us around Portland and showed us the different areas. His energy and personality was so great, he really made the tour as much fun as possible. He even let us have a pit stop to Blue Star Donuts, which was a nice little break! The Segways were super easy to use and Christopher was a great teacher and made sure everyone felt comfortable at all times. I was very nervous at first but after a couple of turns I felt like a pro! (Kind of, I may have let out mini screams coming off of the sidewalks lol). We had a fairly small group, there was about 7 of us. I highly recommend this excursion and if you can book with Christopher, you won't regret it!!! Pro tip: PLEASE TIP YOUR TOUR GUIDE!!!! Bring some cash and make it rain! This is their livelihood so don't be a cheapskate!

Then to the park blocks, up towards JenWeld park, through the Pearl and China town then old town, all while giving you historical information about the city. I was nervous for the first 5 minutes of waiting for my riders lesson, but was comfortable the second I stepped onto my "Mall Cop" mobile. 13 mph seems slow, until you're whipping around on city streets at that pace. Once you get going though, you get a total feel of Badassness. If there is such a thing...on a Segway. I would recommend the Portland Segway tour to anyone - in the summertime - with a Bucket List.

Despite this, Sam, the owner and guide for the trip provided us with an unforgettable experience. We started off with a visit to a dispensary. The staff at the dispensary was extremely knowledgable, and our product was discounted, as we were with a tour. We then stopped for food at food trucks up on the Northeast side of town. We then ventured to Multnomah Falls, which were absolutely beautiful. We ended with a trip to a coffee roaster, and then were dropped back off where were staying. I highly recommend this tour company! Sam was very friendly, knowledgable, and funny. Smoking on the bus was awesome, and the drive to Multnomah Falls was absolutely beautiful.

While it was a helpful way to cover a lot of ground quickly, the tour itself was lackluster. Looking over the other reviews, I think we just got unlucky because Damon wasn't our guide. Our driver arrived late, but recovered quickly, offering a nice mix of city history, architecture, food, and nature knowledge for the first hour. After that, he seemed to lose momentum, eventually just naming a slew of restaurants as we drove by. The energy was so low that he wrapped up the excursion early. I wonder if the vibes would have been better had he asked the various riders our names, where we're from, etc.

We thought the tour wouldn't be enough to experience the city but after having a 3-hour tour with our driver/host Damon, we felt like we've learned a lot about Portland, and have seen enough of the city. First off, the van arrived on time. Very clean and spacious. Snacks and water were available for free. Our driver/host, Damon, was very professional, courteous, friendly, funny and presentable. He is very knowledgeable of his city I think he could run for office. I felt like you can learn more about Portland with Damon than reading any history book. We immediately felt like we were being driven around by a family member. He answered all our questions well and gave us the best and most informative city tour. He drove well and was very mindful of our safety. After the tour, we fell in love with Portland.

When we began the tour, in the Deschutes Brewery Restaurant, Theresa filled us with Beer 101 knowledge and even one of the Deschutes Brewmasters came out for a Q & A session. He answered all questions, no matter how mundane or stupid they may have been. While we were walking to our next destination, Theresa filled our time with PDX Historical facts, that most people may know or not and by the time we reached our final destination, Rogue Brewery, everyone was already feeling jolly & talking loud, she patiently let all parties be themselves and enjoy the moment. This walking tour takes you to three (3) Brewery Restaurant Pubs, 1) Deschutes Brewery 2) Pints Brewing and 3) Rogue Brewing. This tour is an easy walk through the Pearl and Old Town districts with no hills etc. Additonally, you may even be able to make new friends, just like us...We stayed at Rogue Brewery long after the tour ended and became real good friends with this other couple from Winnipeg Canada, who was on the tour also, whom we traded email addresses with. I definitely recommend this tour for any beer lover, whether a novice or expert, in craft beers...you will definitely appreciate the depth and understand why Portland and the Pacific Northwest in general, is the mecca for the Craft Beer Industry.

Cedric (the owner) is the literally the best! When I reached out about his company, he called me…read moreand we had a fantastic chat. He was very attentive and wanted to get a vibe for what the group (6 women) wanted and enjoys in life - all so HE could plan 2 amazing days at wineries in the greater Portland area. After the chat, we netted out on two full days (8 hrs each day. We survived by the way.) in June. He picked us up right at our Airbnb (Pearl) in a comfortable van with lots of room and already had the jams playing (his 90s/00s playlist is ON POINT). For the first day, we went out to the Mt. Hood area which was beyond beautiful (don't think I've ever seen a winery with a majestic mountain as a back drop). I highly recommend this route as it has more of a mom & pop feeling than other major wine areas I've visited (especially if you can do multiple days in this region). You also get a wider range of varietals vs. Willamette (not knocking W.V. AT ALL as I'm a Pinot Noir gal). Cedric completely planned the entire day and we hit up 4 different wineries and none disappointed. He also grabbed us lunch which was fantastic. The drive is beautiful along the Colombia River. Dropped off at our place in the Pearl. Day 2 (the following day) we hit up the famous Willamette Valley. We had a couple last minute requests (in terms of must-have wineries) that Cedric completely accommodated and he re-routed our day to ensure we hit the best of the best. He worked his magic and we were able to visit FIVE (!), including the last stop where we chatted with the owner/winemaker while playing bocce ball (Utopia wines). It was a fantastic day. We visited some big players like Domaine Serene (YES) and Stoller (great for a picnic lunch), but also some smaller but beautiful wineries like Colene Clemens (top of hill overlooking valley) and Vista Hills (think tree house vibes). Cedric promised a magical day and he delivered. This was by far my favorite wine tour experience and I've done a lot of them across the country/world. Cedric was the difference maker. He's a fantastic and hilarious host and truly makes the experience one to remember. His company has other drivers as well and I imagine they are of the same breed as Mr. Cedric, so no matter who you get, you won't be disappointed!!

Life these days is at warp speed and this cruise is the perfect way to slow things down!!!…read more This beautiful, old ship is something to truly check out! Rose is her name and Captain Shane was not disappointing! Not only was he our Captain, oh Captain, he was extremely informative (educating us on safety protocol) open for questions, and pictures at the helm!We couldn't have asked for a more personable & entertaining Captain! In fact, I'd pay to see him in a comedy club! The ship itself holds 49 passengers and its big enough to move around and not feel like sardines, all packed in shoulder to shoulder. It has 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen with salon and I believe it's 3 levels. The only warning that I have is the dock is quite steep on your way to the ship and what goes down must come up, so it's not the easiest return to the parking lot but it's doable. I.e., I have had both knees replaced and have chronic back pain and I made it. Wear good shoes. We were on the river right at 6:30 and Captain Shane immediately put the mainsail up. I felt like I was back East, Westport Harbor, Mass. in 1976! My buddies and I were out on little skiffs when the Tall Ships started heading home after participating in the 1976 Bi Centennial celebrations They were absolutely majestic and a sight that I will remember forever! I want to say to both locals and visitors that the, Schooner Rose, is a special gift to everyone that enjoys gorgeous sunsets, our beautiful river and that lazy kind of feeling you get sailing! You will forget, even for an hour and a half, your problems, the worlds problems and the uncertainties that come with it all! BEST prescription ever!! It was a beautiful evening on the Columbia River with ample room to move around the ship and 3 decks. We sat on the couch on the forward part of the ship and it was like being in our living room but with an amazing view. Captain Shane even allowed me to captain the ship and put on his captain's hat for a bit and his first mate showed me how to use the rudder control and compass and some basic right of way rules. I had a blast. Truly a one of a kind experience. They offered snacks as well and at the end of the tour, we sat on the ship docked with our friends and watched the sun fully set, talked with Captain Shane, and I even got a tour of the engine room. Hands down the best boat cruise in Portland. You can even bring your own drinks and food and we had a little picnic onboard. Note that in the future, they will AirBnB out the ship which would be an awesome stay.
