I was taking my friend out for her belated birthday celebration and she recommended we try Blue Sunday Bar & Grill. I saw they had what appeared to be an awesome Happy Hour menu so we decided to get there in time to try a few cocktails and apps from that menu while our mains from the regular menu. This place is an ENTIRE VIBE! Walking in the music is perfect, the bar and dining room is sexy and everyone is so friendly. Nice looking, dimly lite restaurant with more tables than you would expect while driving up to park. The staff are all young and our server ( whose name escapes me ) was very attentive and steered us towards 2 dishes she said were most popular. Both were very good. The suggestions were welcome because the menu is fairly large. It was still happy hour and all the 16 or so beers on tap were only $5 or $6. (They have a full bar with many exotic looking cocktails being served to patrons at other tables around us.) We skipped getting appetizers and went straight for our entrees. The Crispy Seafood platter was a tasty combination of fried shrimp, scallops and catfish with 1 crab cake. The French Fries were unusually shaped cuts of potato and were also very good. Although on the pricey side ($42) it was worth the price. The Creamy Garlic Shrimp with asparagus spears on the Asian American portion of the menu was also very good. Prices run from the low 20's to a $60 Seafood Boil. Worth another visit. An automatic 18% gratuity is added to your check. read more

I came for happy hour on a Monday night and there was a decent crowd. Arrived during game time but was pleasantly surprised to have a tv in front of our table, so that we were able to watch the Birds beat the chiefs (again) while we dined. Service by Nina was impeccable even though we had a large group and some food allergies! Took a friend here for her bday, and as usual the food was good, hot, fresh, and came out within a reasonable time frame. My only complaint with the food was that I ordered the fried calamari for $18 and they must've ran out in the kitchen or they fry seafood in the same oil because there were literally pieces of small fried chicken mixed in and there was barely any calamari on my plate opposed to the last time that I ordered it. Otherwise it was a good vibe, a lot more crowded than before when I went. We waited for a half hour to be seated which wasn't bad at all considering how crowded it was. The server was very friendly and on point with everything. Of course I would go back but I would try to go earlier to avoid the Saturday night crowd. Oh and BTF the fried fish was on point, hot, crispy, and flavorful, I also thought their french fries were cutely shaped. I was going to order the lamb chops but when I tasted my friend's fish, I had to have it. Caught happy hour at Blue Sunday on a Saturday (runs until 7 PM) and had a great experience. I sat at the bar, which was comfortable and had a great view of the TVs... perfect for watching the U.S. Open while I enjoyed my food and drinks. The vibe was relaxed and not too crowded when I arrived, though the crowd started to roll in as I was leaving around 6. The Strawberry Lemon Drops were a hit, just $10 during happy hour and perfectly balanced. I also had the wings (crispy and flavorful) with the Momba sauce, which had a sweet and spicy kick, recommend. The crab dip wasn't part of happy hour, but definitely worth trying. For mains, the lamb chops were cooked to perfection and paired with a rich, flavorful sauce. The salmon was another solid choice. Well, not really sure how I missed this place multiple times when searching for a nice seafood restaurant in PA, but I somehow found it this past Sunday. After reading reviews and perusing the menu, I knew I needed to stop in. So, I did. We walked in at 3:45 pm and found an almost full front dining area. There were a few tables that were open with plenty of empty bar seats. Sidebar: You cannot make a reservation for a party of 2 or 3, so get there nice and early if you have 3 or less people in your party. We asked for a table for 2 and were offered a table or bar seating. We went with a table. Our table had seating for 4, which was great. That gave us some extra room to spread out. Our waitress arrived promptly and asked for our drink orders. I went with a Lychee martini and my partner had a Blue Moon. For an app we decided to go with the calamari. Our drinks came within 5-8 mins. My Lychee martini was delicious. I could taste the vodka with a hint of a lychee, which I don't mind. It was a nice, strong martini just the way I like it. Our calamari app arrived 10-12 mins later. The calamari had a thick breading with a hint of black pepper. It was nice and crunchy and paired perfectly with the aioli sauce. I absolutely loved the flavor of the calamari. Now, I was torn when deciding what to order for my entree. I got stuck between the scallop and lobster medley and the garlic shrimp. Ultimately, I went with scallop and lobster medley ($32). My partner opted to try the seafood boil ($60). We waited another 20 ish mins or so for our entrees. I was surprised by the serving size of my entree, but it came with a side, so I chose fried rice. I had one lobster tail and 4 small scallops. The cajun cream sauce was barely present, but the very little sauce I had went well with the scallops and lobster. The scallops were succulent. They had a nice crust on the outside with a soft center. They were cooked well. The lobster was cooked well too. It was flavorful and the perfect size for what I could eat in one sitting. The fried rice was good too. Just good, nothing to brag about. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his seafood boil. The boil contained mussels, shrimp, crab (2 snow clusters), corn, and potatoes. He had a very full, large bowl of seafood. We were happy to see how much food he was given for the $60 cost. He actually had enough food for another serving the following day. We really liked our first Blue Sunday visit and have already recommended the restaurant to our friends. read more

Ambience is very good, great atmosphere and decor. Wine selection is inadequate and lacking variety. We ordered the cheesesteak egg roll appetizer that was very good with the right amount of spices and the dripping sauce was good. Also ordered the crab cake appetizer which was bland and under seasoned and the sauce was not very flavorful. Dinner did not come with any type of bread or rolls. Our entrees were the Blackened Salmon, NY Strip Steak and the Chicken and Beef Pasta. The Blackened Salmon was overcooked and dry and the spices were more cajun than blackened. The NY Strip was not NY Strip, it was a perfectly formed rectangular steak that I have never seen before, although it was cooked medium rare as asked. It was not seasoned and the steak sauce that came with it was inedible. There was no option of a nice portabella mushroom sauce or sautéed onions that would have elevated the taste of the steak. The Chicken and Beef Pasta dish was ample and well prepared, although the beef was dry and cut in rectangular strips. After each of us ate half of our dishes, we decided on dessert. We ordered the Lemon Cake and the Salted Caramel Cake. The Lemon Cake was served over a layer of melted chocolate which does not go well with lemon. A nice raspberry sauce would have been nice. Met up with some friends on Sunday for lunch/dinner. As I walked into the restaurant the ambience was breathtaking. The layout and decor was beautiful and well put together and inviting. the seating was also spacious and not cluttered like most restaurants. We were seated right away. The staff was very attentive on Sunday. They have all day happy hour. We took advantage of this and ordered the wings and bruschetta. For our entrées, my Daughter and I both had the fried seafood platter which consisted of catfish, shrimp, crab cake, and scallops. This was delicious. The only issue was it was probably all fried together and the shrimp was overcooked for my drink. I ordered the tropical sunset I actually had two it was delicious. We really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back to try other options. The only issue was they only had two bathroom stalls, so there was a wait for the amount of people dining. Pleasantly surprised by the food. I started with one of their signature cocktails, Blue Sunday potion. It had a sugar rim, but it wasn't too sweet. It was refreshing. For an appetizer, we ordered the catfish strips. Don't let the name fool you, it was whole filets. They were fresh and fried to perfection. The tartar and hot sauces on the side complimented the fish so well. I ordered the beef short ribs with bourbon sauce. Just wow. They were tender, fall off the bone flavor. My husband ordered the fried seafood platter with catfish, scallops, shrimp and a crabcale. It was all fried so well. It was crispy, fresh and tasty. My wife's steak was overcooked but flavorful, while the stuffed shrimp had too much crab and too little shrimp. I had General Tso's chicken and fried rice; it was average and lacked flavor for the price. Pleasant greeting upon entering and we were quickly seated without a reservation. Our Server, Heaven, was very personable and gave us good service. A good amount of tables were in service for this recently opened restaurant, and the crowd seemed laid back. The food was mostly good. We didn't care for the tempura-like breading on the rock shrimp a bit lacking in flavor in its own-but the sauce (like a sriracha mayo) was good. The pasta dish was a tad too cheesy and needed to be served with a small plate to collect the shellfish shells and the peas in the fried rice were undercooked. The fries and drinks were great. Good portion sizes! I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the concept is confusing. The dishes included Asian, Creole, American and American-Italian fare and ceviche was also on the menu. But, I guess you could say that most people could find something they like. Although, Big band type music was playing during our visit, along with sports on the flat screens----.:-/. The interior is mostly black and red, apart from the bar, which is brightly lit. Seating was comfortable and everything seemed new and clean. The Happy hour menu was a nice touch. Blue Sunday is the best restaurant I've been to in a while! We went there to celebrate my fiancé's birthday and we had a great time. Blue Sunday is clean and comfortable. We made our reservation on a Tuesday at 6pm. At 6pm we received a reminder text from Blue Sunday that we had an additional 15 minutes to be seated. We were in the parking lot walking into the restaurant when we received the reminder text. We were greeted with smiling faces and a big welcome! We noticed right away that Blue Sunday had a beautiful atmosphere, very photogenic. We ordered our favorite drink the Long Island Iced Tea and they were yummy. I tried their watermelon LIT and it was perfect! We decided to begin with the following appetizers because we wanted to try it all: lobster bisque, chicken garlic bread, cheesesteak rolls and crab cakes. The portions were large and the appetizers were all delicious in their individual rights! I am a lobster bisque connoisseur and when I say the cup was all lobster... you must go and try for yourself! It was the best I've ever had because the flavor and consistency was fantastic. I ordered an espresso martini because I was curious how theirs would be made and it was a robust drink that I will order again. I am sure you know that we will be returning especially since Monday's are Long Island Tea nights. On the table, there was this menu stand that lists their weekday event nights or specials. My fiancée loves red velvet cake and it was soo good. The waitress was very pretty and fast, she brought out a warm brownie with a birthday candle on it for our celebration. That brownie was warm to the very end. Okay so we were super stuffed and didn't get to order an entree, but we will return!
