Came here after a dinner around the corner. My boyfriend found this lounge and wanted to surprise me after my birthday dinner. We couldn't figure out the code to get in but then we did and were taken in to be seated. It's such a great place!! We sat at a small table. I loved looking at how it was decorated: the old looking wallpaper, framed black and white old photos, and vintage furniture mixed with modern pieces. It all worked so well. Very inviting! I had espresso martinis and my boyfriend had two drinks (I don't remember which ones). The drinks were top notch! Oh and the service was great! The bartenders came over to our table to take our orders, check on how we were liking the drinks, etc.

What a fun trip! We were in Bristol for dinner on the surprisingly developed Mill Street on a recent Saturday night, when my friends started discussing a nearby speakeasy cocktail lounge. My friend had tried to get a reservation but was told they only had 9:30, so she passed. Also, it seems you need to know the daily "password" to get in, & can find it on Instagram, but we had no luck. We got help from our wonderful waitress at Itri, the fabulous wood fired pizza place next door. (I also found out that it actually appears on the chalkboard in the lobby.) When you enter the front or side doors, you're met by a lovely hostess who will open the bookcase & let you into the coolest bar this side of the Delaware. It is a small, dimly lit space, with antique furniture, funky wallpaper, empty gold picture frames, & original art work on the walls. The music is a funky mix that provides a great vibe. I heard they have a piano player for their baby grand on Wednesday nights. The bar is in the back & they serve some interesting cocktails using local liquors. I had a Green Chili Vodka Martini (olives, no vermouth, dirty ice - thank you very much), & my friend had a strong expresso martini. My only complaint? The table was wet & sticky. Also, I wish they had some pretzels on the table, but I think you had to order them. Considering most cocktails were $15-16.00, it would have been a nice touch. With tax & tip, one cocktail will run $20 bucks. This is Bristol...not New Hope or center city. I'd like to return on a Wednesday night & hang out for a while. Definitely worth a visit.

Music was very diverse and inviting. Loved the whole secret entrance theme, definitely gives it more vibe. You can do a Resy reservation or just get on the waitlist upon arrival. Old fashions are very good, more on the sweet end with the blueberry taste. It could be good for large groups, private events or just to catch up on the romantic style tables.

We had a larger group (5) but we were able to book a table through Instagram (couldn't find a number) and they were super accommodating. Ambiance was amazing you walk through a bookcase to this awesome bar. Service was impeccable the woman at the bookstore was friendly our waiter was also very helpful. I was indecisive and the waiter got me a great cocktail and I'm picky with drinks. Would highly recommend!

Love this speakeasy! What a great find. Reservations highly recommended. We showed up without a reservation on a Saturday night & we were lucky enough to get sat within 5 minutes. They were closing early at midnight due to being open early for the chocolate festival from 12:00-5:00pm that day. It's next door to itri & behind the book shelf of 304 Mill. We were greeted by the host who was very friendly. Behind the doors was a very small but super cute setting. The decor was awesome & it was dimly lit. There was about eight seats at the bar. We were lucky enough to get sat on the side of the bar. The bartenders were exceptional. Shout out to Shane who gave great recommendations and his cocktails were simply delicious. I had the best espresso martini I've ever had. My boyfriend had both the old-fashioned in the Manhattan & loved them! This place is an absolute gem and we are so happy we found it. Can't wait to return.

I am not sure if Management has changed but whatever it was / is needs to be addressed immediately for the sake of not losing customers. Asking to be seated at a different table other than the one we were initially seated at (bc it was right by the door and the wind coming in was freezing) was the first red flag because the hostess seemed bewildered and bothered that we wanted a new table despite there being 50-11 other open tables throughout the joint. It literally then took 15 minutes before our server greeted us and it just kept rolling downhill at a faster and faster rate by the minute. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Oh and the best part was that there was this "figure of management" present ... and I say "figure of management" because he was also ignoring diners and not checking in with them like a restaurant manager typically does ... he was only going to the empty tables cleaning them, slowly adding place settings, rearranging the empty tables ... trying to look busy!!!!! It was honestly comical at one point. We asked for boxes for our food because we still never received all of what was missing despite our server acknowledging it was missing and stating she would bring it back. We literally never ever received it smh . My BF told her this was the worst service we've ever had and it probably didn't even phase her because her attitude overall was just sucky from the beginning. If this is all because of new management they need to go on and get new new management before this place's reputation is ruined.

The restaurant is in this cute little area with shops, restaurants and bars and is a popular destination because when we were leaving out after finishing our meal the place was jam packed and there was at least an hour wait (but no wait when we came in thankfully). It's important to note that this is NOT authentic Mexican food ... but it was pretty good nonetheless. The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. If we're in the neighborhood again and in the mood for margaritas we may just stop back in.

The inside was clean and the bar area I sat at although small was a decent spot to have a drink and grub. The staff was mostly young kids who were very nice. The chips and salsa they offer were boring. The salsas both roja and verde lacked flavor, mostly spice. The chips were fresh, but thick and bland. I think a thinner homemade style would work better. The first bartender I dealt with was great with the menu. She recommended several menu items. I ended up rolling with the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas at $18 - jumbo lump crab, old bay cream cheese, tiger shrimp, cilantro and lime rice. The lime rice was worthless. It had zero flavor and was dry. The Enchiladas were creamy, but lacked spice and complexity. The tiger shrimp had a delicious grilled, moist flavor and were the best part. My second trip had a newer bartender who was getting her feet wet. She was friendly, but busy familiarizing herself with the bar so I went simple and ordered Birria Tacos - $15 Braised beef, onions, cilantro, lime Oaxaca cheese, consommé. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Heck of a location in the Borough, but my visits left me longing for a hot pepper!

It also came with some beautiful sauerkraut that was purple and quite beautiful. It also came with buttery spaetzle dumpling ! I could only eat half of it. It was quite delicious, but I had to save room for dessert too! I also enjoyed a cup of hot decaf coffee & the apple strudel for dessert and we split it. It seemed so perfect for this chilly evening!! Everything was absolutely wonderful and so charming and I would definitely come back.
