The entire experience was smooth and professional. We made the reservation online and received very clear instructions for our appointment and were provided with a questionnaire to fill out prior to our visit and even exchanged a few text clarifications with the receptionist at Bluebell. Street parking was very simple and the spa was easy to find, but surprisingly inconspicuous from the street. The reception area is cozy and the check-in seamless. There's tea if you wish to drink while waiting for your treatment. Marion & Marcio both gave wonderful massages. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. She had Ms. Marion and said that she was amazing. She adjusted pressure as necessary without quitting before getting the knots out. Ms. Marion actually put her to sleep...and I mean snoring! I had Mike. Mike was a wizard. I told him that I do Crossfit 5X per week and also worked an intense job. He knew that meant I could take pressure and he gave me just that. He walked on my back and stretched me out, getting out stubborn knots in random spots and angles. Felt like a really good and necessary workout. I had THE BEST EVER massage with Yordanos! She is a miracle worker! I came in with what felt like a knife in my shoulder blade from too much lifting and she helped relieve the pain tremendously. He used just the right amount of pressure, got knots out without making me scream--just the perfect way of easing them out without pushing too far. When I first walked up I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a more urban area of the city with a lot of activity nearby. That's sad, the spots definitely an oasis and a busy part of town. Spa, while it is no-frills, is clean, and quiet, and relaxing. Masks are mandatory, and I felt very comfortable with their Covid precautions.I hade Yardanos and she is amazing! I recently had Karina give me a facial. Let me start by saying that I am a VERY light sleeper. In a completely dark room with no noise at all and perfect temperature, I still have trouble falling asleep. I was amazed when I woke up at the end of the facial. I had no idea it was possible to put someone to sleep during a facial. To my surprise, the extractions were also completely painless. I was amazed. Her knowledge of skincare was unlike any other. 12/1/2019 I first came to bluebell four months ago in September to get a facial. My skin at the time was in bad shape, my entire forehead and the sides of my face and my chin were covered in oily red acne and whiteheads. I booked a facial--something I had never done before. Ana performed the treatment and was amazing the entire time! I felt comfortable and informed during the service and she provided a lot of support for what to expect. Yes, the extractions hurt and some of the products did a little more than just tingle (ouch!) but it worked!! I saw some results immediately but what really helped over the past four months has been small treatments here and here and dedicated care in my routine. I don't even feel the need to wear makeup anymore. I literally never thought this day would come, I have struggled with acne since I was 11 (I am 27 now). I purchased all of the products that were recommended based on my skin type and they were pretty much the same price of the stuff I had been buying before (image, vitamin c serum, differin, aquaphor, etc.) The whole process was so rewarding but involved a little discipline. Think "Hurts so good". He is very a highly skilled massage therapist, uses techniques you might not find with just any/every one and gets to the root of the issues for you. I have had three massages from Bluebell at this point. They have all been great and exactly what was asked for. One was a sports massage, one was a hot stone massage and the last was Swedish. All three techniques were done as prescribed and were great. A lot of spa's do not offer different types of massage, let alone to nail each technique. Extra points for being close to home. read more

Our masseuses were Yordanos and Tonyce and they both did an excellent job. I'd highly recommend the sports massage for any athletes or just anyone with tight muscles! I booked a 90-minute deep tissue massage and a signature facial at Bluebell Spa DC. I chose Bluebell strictly because of the (1) Yelp Reviews and the (2) moderate prices in comparison to the other day spas. Yelpers, I was not disappointed. I thank you all! It's a quiet spot tucked away in Mount Pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Luis was my masseuse for the day. If I could bottle him up and take him home, I would! He first diagnosed my problem just by looking at me and asking me a few questions. I have a "frozen shoulder" which was causing me pain and tingling down my arm. He recommended exercises even before he began the massage. And then he began the massage. He worked diligently and patiently on my back and shoulders until my pain subsided. I then relaxed to a point that I fell asleep during the massage. He then performed stretches to the point that I thought I was becoming a pretzel. But by the end of the treatment, my pain was gone. Gone! Luis worked wonders for me! Then, I met with Karina to begin my facial. She immediately diagnosed that my skin lacked hydration. And then began the customized facial to focus on hydrating my skin. She too put me to sleep with her gentle handiwork on my face. She encouraged me to (1) drink water and (2) return for a facial within the next 2 months. She also gave me recommendations for skin care and samples to take home. Overall, I was very impressed with Bluebell Spa. Very impressed. I left the business feeling relaxed and calm. Bluebell will now become a part of my self-care regimen. read more
