It's right off of Main Street in oyster bay, such good businesses nearby and the parking sucks so bad. When you walk in, there's a bunch of employees feverishly making bread or whatever other delicious smelling carbs. Staff was very friendly and my sandwich was ready at the time promised. This sandwich is large. You can tell the bread and other ingredients are fresh and well made. I thought it was really delicious, although the whole wheat bread kind've threw me off, I still enjoyed it. I was only able to eat half, and my hubby enjoyed the other half. I drove by the other day and refrained from ordering ahead just in case parking was non-existent, and I couldn't find a spot but an definitely excited to try something new when I get lucky with a spot. Totally know parking is not the businesses fault, but if you come, have a passenger who can jump out and grab the food to go!

Initially I thought that the prices were steep for the cheeses, but after some thought - they are top tier cheese products and I would and did splurge for a good cheese. They have a gouda that is aged three years and it has a really nice flavor and texture. The lady in charge is very sweet and exact. She assisted whenever the new girl at the counter needed. They are also affiliated with a couple of restaurants in the area. 2 Spring and another one I can't remember that started with a G. Inside it was clean and crisp. Not windy, crisp, but if you go inside you will know what I mean. Outside they had one or two tables with chairs for those who want to nosh on the sidewalk and take in the summer sun. They also have sandwiches, canned olives, pickles, caviar, etc., biscotti, baguettes, croissants (chocolate and plain), blueberry muffins, yogurt, and more! Of the things I ordered: One star for the tiny cappuccino. I was thinking it would fit the cup, not just fit inside the cup given. I also asked for cinnamon, which it did not have. They asked me if I wanted one or two shots of espresso, which was nice. The biscotti was too sweet in my opinion. The blueberry muffins were really good and have the actual fruit inside. They don't have alternative milk. Happy shops!

The venue boasts both outdoor patio seating and an elegant, upscale indoor dining room, providing a versatile atmosphere for diners. The bar area is thoughtfully designed with a modern flair, adding to the restaurant's contemporary ambiance. Our introduction to Hunter Restaurant was the courtesy of a gift card from a family member; otherwise, I am not sure I would have thought of dining here on my own. Upon arrival, we were seated in a comfortable booth tucked away in the far back of the dining room, facing the entire space. We were told this was the "best seat in the house," and it certainly provided a cozy yet commanding view of the restaurant. Our server and assistant greeted us promptly and attentively. We started with some complimentary bread, green olives, and bruschetta, delightful beginning. From what I read beforehand, Hunter Restaurant is an innovative bistro offering a blend of classic French and Spanish Mediterranean fare, with vegetarian options available to suit diverse preferences. For appetizers, we chose a pizza topped with tomatoes on a very flat bread, and tender artichokes--both dishes were excellent. For our main courses, I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana, which was pounded to perfection, and my companion had the halibut. Both entrees were outstanding, flavorful, well-prepared, and plentiful. In summary, this is a restaurant I will return to, primarily because of their delicious and generously portioned food, coupled with the exceptional service. Hunter Restaurant offers a memorable dining experience worth discovering.

Calamari was very lightly fried and a great starter. The sesame crusted tuna was perfectly cooked and the wasabi sauce was a great compliment. Squid ink seafood linguini was a tiny portion, nothing special. Steak frites; the steak perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. Finally, the lamb chops were absolutely delicious. Extremely tender and no gaminess and definitely the best thing we ordered. Overall, the meal was slightly expensive, but would highly recommend and return.

Rich, smooth, and topped with a massive toasted marshmallow that basically deserves its own review. If you're coming here in the winter, it's a must-order. The food was exceptional. The roasted chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and full of flavor, and the stuffed artichoke special was one of the most unique, well-executed dishes I've had on the Island. Everything came out hot, beautifully presented, and you can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve. The atmosphere is where this place really sets itself apart. Between the fireplace lounge, the cozy tartan walls, and the overall warm vibe, it feels like a place you settle into and don't want to leave. I didn't sit in the igloos, but they looked awesome -- perfect for a group, a date night, or just a different experience. I'll absolutely be booking one next time. Service was friendly, timing was on point, and the entire experience felt elevated without being pretentious.

Drinks- The Martini tower was cute and very original. Keep in mind that it just might tip over when placed on the not so steady wooden tables that have a home in the igloos out back. They come with a TV and fireplace, so you really feel like you are right at home. The staff was very accomodating, they gave us a chance to overstay our welcome (2 hr limit on the igloos), which was nice. I definitely want to give this place another visit soon, I think it has a lot of potential and charm.

Is it the delicious food? Maybe the sophisticated yet sleek ambiance. I don't know what it is, but they got it and I love it. And I love showing them off to others. On a cold Tuesday night, it was pretty empty. I really hope the summer months are better to them. The table-side bread basket was amazing. We each got to pick which sort of bread we wanted. There was sourdough, focaccia and others. I went with the focaccia and never looked back. Burrata and beets, Brussels sprouts and salmon that was cooked perfectly was enjoyed while the specialty cocktails were sipped. We had all the attention of the staff being the only diners in there. It was such lovely time I'm going to make sure I don't wait to long to go back.
