After being there a few months, I take everything good back. Over the winter, when it snowed,…read morenothing was shoveled. I had to shovel my own area to get to my storage unit. The door was frozen and it took me at least 20 minutes to get the lock off. I got one I needed closed the unit and could not get the lock back on because the unit would not fully close due to all the ice. I contacted the manager and he could not help me until I came back. So, my storage unit with all my stuff in it was left open. Two days later, I went back and he was nowhere to be found. Thankfully, it defrosted a little and I was able to lock it. Now I am trying to close out my unit and I am on week two if it being completely cleared out. I have not been able to reach the manager, so I called the main number. They contacted the district manager, he never got back to me so now I'm waiting for the regional manager. This is ridiculous! Not to mention due to all the ice, there was a leak and my stuff got soaked. They also owe me $50 for the past two months. Probably never going to see that. So don't bother renting a unit here unless you're OK with it being left open over the winter and don't mind shoveling, deicing yourself and never want to close it out.

I rented a 10 x10 unit at $105 per month with a $35 security deposit. I was paid through the 22nd…read moreof November. I emptied the unit early November, considered storing additional items but did not. I went to cancel and obtain my deposit on or about November 16, 2015. I was told it looked like the company already cancelled it when they found my unit empty without a lock. Mind you, that is how it was when I first rented the space. No one called me about this. They do not pro-rate if you cancel early but apparently can rent to someone else if your unit does not have a lock. The young women told me I should be receiving my deposit money in the mail in 2 to 3 weeks. The check was not forthcoming. The gal with whom I had interactions with had worked there for some time went out on maternity leave in the meantime. The person in her place pleaded ignorance of anything. She said she would get back to me but did not. I called back and she had no information for me. Customer service is non-existent. The supervisor failed to return my calls. When I finally reached her, she said that the contract says you must inform them if you empty your unit and take the lock off (the lock that I purchased from them and was mine). (the print must be rather small) and if you neglect to, you forego your deposit. Apparently the person I dealt with who had been employed there for some time was not aware of this policy because she never stated this and actually told me I could expect the check in the mail! As far as I knew, I was paid through November 22. I should have been informed that even if I was paid through a certain date, they could 1). Refuse to give me my deposit back and 2)rent to someone else even though they don't reimburse on a per dime basis.for early cancellation

I am working on settling an estate. We did not know about this rental until the gentleman passed…read moreaway. I went in to get information about it and the woman I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. She showed me where the spaces were, being in a lot, with nothing in 1 and 2 old cars in the other. I paid the rent on the empty lot to get it released and not charged anymore. I got the rent paid on the 2nd one, and was able to get 1 car towed out of the lot. I had to hunt for someone to take the other car as it was very old and rusty, with 4 flat tires. There was no way to roll it at all. I got someone to take it, but it was not able to happen until just after the 5 day grace period ended. When I went to make the final payment to get in and have this taken care of, not only does this company not pro-rate in this situation, they also don't tell you how much the late fees are going to be. Nor do the work with you on it. They have a set rule and no compassion. The woman I was dealing with ceased being helpful when she didn't bother to tell me how much the late fees were going to be if I didn't pay the rent THAT DAY!! I would have been happy to pay it then if I was told there were huge late fees! (It was over $30 in late fees, on a bill of under $200.) Nope, I will never deal with this company again. They aren't the only storage place in town by any means.
