Jessica does a great job grooming my mini schnauzers, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. My boys are always excited when we go in, so that tells me they're treated well while they're there. We moved to the New Braunfels/Schertz area close to 6 months ago and we have been taking our dog here since then. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They hours are great. Love the treats they have inside for purchase. Love that they get free play allll day long! Love the option to drive up and let our dog out right at the door and pick him up there. And love the option to check on him during the day with the camera views they provide! They separate animals by temperament and size as not to become bullied. Keep him on flea preventer to keep flea off him. If your dog comes back with fleas you know it is a DOG boarding facility! Our dogs first overnight away from us since we adopted him. The employees were great. Answered all my questions before, during, and after his stay as I seemed to be way more nervous than our boy. I usually don't write bad reviews,but my experience needed to be shared. I scheduled overnight boarding as a first time customer. It was tough getting a hold to someone but I finally did. I updated my dog's shot records and he arrived on a Saturday morning. My dog was picked up the following afternoon with feces covering is rear. We didn't noticed until he sat in our lap while riding home. The mess was so bad that it required us to cut some of his hair. I'm not sure what kind of dog watching happens at this location. Maybe we fell through the crack, but for the amount of money paid for services I would have hoped my dog would've left in better condition. A free wash was offered, however I'm not pleased knowing my dog slept in dog mess. read more

I am disappointed to give anything less than a five star review. I've been a huge fan since I moved to San Antonio. Unfortunately, customer service was lacking on my last visit. I made the mistake of picking up my dog's poop. There was no trashcan by the fire hydrant and I didn't see one anywhere else around the area so I brought it in with me. The young lady at the register said there was one out there. I tell her I didnt see one. She asked if I wanted the same cut as last time and her attitude towards me just seemed unfriendly. Maybe it was because of my plastic bag of dog poop? She silently takes my dogs to the back and leaves me standing there with my bag of poop. I notice she doesnt even acknowledge my dogs or talk to them. On previous visits, staff has always been pretty friendly towards my dogs. I almost tell her to forget it. I wait and wait and wait. She finally comes back and no apology or anything about the long wait. She seemed a little irritated that she was having to deal with the bag of poop. She takes it from me and walks outside to the fenced area where there is a small white trash can. It would be nice if they had the trashcan closer to the hydrant outside or at least a sign to tell customers where the trashcan is located. Then they wouldnt have to deal with it. The grooming was wonderful and I would rate that service five stars. The customer service I would rate a two. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Getting in touch with someone is almost impossible. I've left emails and I've made numerous phone calls that have been left unanswered. I've asked to speak to a manager twice and was ignored both times. Their lack of communication and how reluctant they are to answer questions makes it hard for me to trust them with my dog. I have used their overnight boarding and can't give them 5 stars because the different package services provided are pricey for something so basic. After looking at all the other negative reviews I can tell I'm not the only one, and that many people have had terrible experiences with this establishmetn too. Such as awful customer service, mistreatment of dogs, hostile boarding, bad grooming. From the looks of it, Bluebonnet Bunk'n Biscuit is NOT where you want to leave your furry family members. My family and I have been loyal to Bunkins since 2011. Back then we enjoyed shopping there, occasional boarding and we went frequently to the agility classes. We later took a break from agility because our dogs got too old. Recently, we decided to go back with our new puppy. We called a few days in advance inquiring about agility classes and times, we were told the classes were held on Mondays @6pm. The following Monday we went in the store around 3pm confirming that we would be there for the 6pm agility class. We later showed up again at 6:00 ready for the class. At that time they told us that there was no room available for our puppy to take the class. (they did NOT mention this when we called or when we came in the same day at 3:00 confirming the event prior). When we asked why no one mentioned the full class before they told us we had made the mistake by not calling (when we actually did call and went in the store to confirm). Then they rudely told us to leave their establishment. This experience was a huge headache considering we had driven over 20 mins to take this class. This treatment was all a surprise especially since we have been loyal customers since 2011! However, based on their many poor reviews it is no longer a surprise. Bunkins has no respect for their customers. This establishment abuses it's business by knowing they're the only place that offers these kind of classes in the Schertz area. It is clear this establishment does not care about you nor your pet. I will be taking my business to Rob Cary Pet Resort only a five minute commute difference. I suggest other unsatisfied Bunkins customers do the same! Rob Cary had better reviews too! I hope this feedback was useful to some. 5 stars for dog training! My daughter did obedience classes with her puppy with Duane and I did private lessons with our other dog with him. Duane is great!! He always explains the reasoning behind each command, reaction, correction etc. I like that the training is taught to your own expectations for your dog's behavior. He took time every lesson to ask if I had any questions or if any situation arised outside of class that I needed advice for. I highly recommend him! The whole experience helped strengthen the bond with my pup and realize how good of a dog he actually is. Everything was all good until they started running out of room for Memorial Day weekend and since our dog is a play alone dog they are kicking him out and leaving me to hurry and find a new boarding place at the last minute! January 28, 2019 and the proud owner of three Alaskan huskies and which I've been using Bluebonnet for about the past year to get them groomed my mother drop the dogs off and all three of them were returned with a burn mark meaning their hair has been exposed down to the skin after a cleaning and Bluebonnet is refusing to take responsibility for it. My mothers call several times to try to find a resolution I would like a refund for the cleaning of my two adult males and one female and I cannot get through to anyone that will make any sense of what happened it's a shame that I have to resort to a review in order to get a phone call that will be met with a bunch of apologies and he say she say things to get done I don't post often with yelp but for some reason I cannot get through to the management staff about my dogs the first name ghost the second shadow and the third named storm.. my dogs have a 3 to 4 inch patch of hair missing from each one of their coats on their rear hind quarters or their lower back my mother was told maybe they got burned during the dry cleaner this is on except a bowl and I would like a phone call from someone at the store and a refund of my money because when my mother called they tried to tell her as if the dogs already had the patch of hair missing or that it was somehow not their fault unacceptable. We boarded our dogs here after the vet insisted on using their own leashes (instead of a proper harness) around the neck of our pug. Bunkin Biscuit treats your pets like family and will follow all of your instructions. We completed an assessment, which made me feel better about this place. The cheaper rooms were booked up so we booked a webcam suite, Sage 3, and I'm so glad we did. It was wonderful being able to check online and see what my puppies were doing and how well they were sleeping while we were out of town. They aren't locked in a kennel at this place and only let out twice a day. They are living it up in dedicated play yards with other dogs their size and in a nice room with their toys from home and blankets. Although a bit pricier than the alternative, bunkin biscuit takes wonderful care of your dogs and cats. I will be using only this boarding facility from now on. They also offer daycare, which gives my pups the chance to interact and play with other dogs. All the workers here are sweet and caring with a genuine love for the animals. Customer service is top notch! Especially the young man that works most days, I can't remember his name, but he is just wonderful with my dogs and his calming demeanor. read more

No, I wouldn't recommend you to a friend. I wanted to go to you cause a friend recommended you And I fig since you are close I could take her for daycare. I ended up paying $210 for 4 days and a bath which is a little bit high but willing to pay if you take great care of my dog. But you didn't there is not updates on how the dog is doing and when you call to check you get oh she is playing and fine. I get Miss back on Monday and she is walking with a significant limp when she got home. I had to carry her up the stairs. I called to ask about it again and I am told the people in the back did not notice anything but will ask the groomers and give me a call in the morning we will see if that happens. I HAD TO CARRY MY DOG UP THE STAIRS. I thought maybe she got her nails trim to short which happens and but a big deal. But after examining she is missing skin on a pad of her front right paw. So now not only am I out $200 for bad care for my dog, I have to take her to the vet for her paw. Maybe you guys only really watch and care if you pay for the Gold package and not the Bronze. I will be make the drive to my normal border and tell everyone I know not to go here. I feel guilty that I left her there. If something happens it happens but do be told she is fine and great in short quick statements then to come back and find her hurt and not know for how long. read more

We took our dog to this boarding place because it is recommended by our vet. It was the worst experience we have had with boarding. We sent her with an extra bag of food so she'd have plenty to eat. However, they took the bag of food and sent us home with an empty container (it was a 17 pound bag). She got sent home after being attacked by another dog bleeding on her nose (she kept bleeding for 2-3 days) and now it is a huge scar on her nose. Finally, she came home with kennel cough. It kept us up for days with her coughing. I get that kennel cough happens but the least they could do was warn us. read more

We boarded our dog here for over three years until we finally could not leave her here in good conscience. On three different occasions, she was only given about 25% of her medications. My husband and I both spoke with management after two of these occasions, and although we were assured that new measures would be put in place and all employees retrained, we were dismayed when we picked her up and found that yet again, all of her medications had not been administered. Following health guidelines for your pet seems fundamental to pet care, so we were completely baffled as to why no one here seemed to feel that this was an important issue. Not only were our concerns ignored, but management did nothing to try to make it right or to entice us to give them another try. Best boarding experience! My dog has stayed here twice and I drive about 30 miles to drop him off, because it is well worth it! Their hours are convenient to me; I hate boarding my dog somewhere that has limited drop-off/pick-up hours and isn't even open on Sundays. Not the case at BBNB since they are open everyday!!! My dog gets to play during the day with other dogs and gets to relax in his own 'bunk' in the evening. What more can I say?? Definitely the place where animal lovers board their pets! read more

I've taken my Shih Tzu here to be groomed 4 times and have always been pleased with the results. He's not the easiest to groom but they seem to get it right consistently, and he doesn't seem traumatized by the process. I have also boarded by Shih Tzu and Boston Terrier here when we are out of town. They've never come back with fleas. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that on several occassions, the staff has seemed disorganized. I've had to call back a 2nd or 3rd time to confirm that the pricing information I was originally given was accurate, because people I had dealt with seemed very unsure of what they were telling me. But I've never worried about my dogs' safety while they were there, and that means a lot! read more

I take my two schnauzers groomed here and they alway turn out so cute. The ladies are also very accommodating and allow my pups to stay together during the entire time they are there. I also like that they have facilities where the pups can play if I can't get there right away. The costs are reasonable and you get great service. My sister lives in Round Rock and she brings her two schnauzer down here for groom at bunk and biscuit because they are better than the groomers in her area. I recommend for sure. read more

I boarded my 8 month old kitten over the Christmas holiday. My husband and I used the webcam to check on him almost constantly. In the 5 days he was there, they only let him out to play ONCE. When we picked him up, we discovered that our wishes for him to eat the food that WE LEFT for him and use his ceramic bowls from home were not followed. Additionally, he had ALMOST NO LITTER to relieve himself in. This place may be great for dogs, but it is TERRIBLE for cats. read more

This place is not helpful at all. They would not accept my dog on short notice without an assessment and were unwilling to do the assessment on a weekend. Our air conditioning broke at the house and we needed a safe environment for our dog on short notice. We have all current shot records from a local pet hospital, but Bluebonnett Bunk'n Biscuit would not help. I do not want to do business with an organization that does not care about the safety of a new client's dog. If they aren't compassionate to this type of circumstance, there is a good chance they aren't going to be compassionate with your circumstance, whatever it may be. They should help when they can and not refuse service. They have lost this customer and I hope you do not use their service either. read more

Let me start off by saying my dogs are like my children and I won't just leave them with anyone when I go out of town (including some of my own family members). I've been bringing my dogs to BBBB for a few years now and they are the only people I trust will take care of my babies. The entire staff is experienced, knowledgable AND courteous. My dogs have SO much fun when they get to stay there. It's pretty much a vacation for them. Whenever we drop them off and the staff takes their leashes to bring them back our dogs don't even look back at us because they are so excited! We have to say our goodbyes in the car before we go inside. And my dogs aren't stupid. They know where they are going (like when we go to the vet and it's a struggle just to get them out of the car). I've also started using the in-home pet sitting service about a year ago and I LOVE that too! They even leave detailed notes about each visit they make and how the dogs were behaving. One time when I was in Mexico i got a call from Cathy because one of my dogs had an eye infection (she always gets them). I told her where the medicine was and they treated her accordingly. By the time I got home my dog was all better. They are all good people who have fully earned my trust. I highly recommend using them. Other places I used in the past just keep the dogs in kennels the entire time and only let them out to use the bathroom. The BBBB facility is huge and very clean. They offer activities for your dogs all day long so they are not cooped up all day long and they are ALWAYS being supervised. read more
