BEWARE- Camp Bow Wow, Live Oak, allows dogs who bite others to come back. I have been a regular customer for well over a year before this incident occurred. A few weeks ago, my dog was bit in the play yard. It is natural to assume that dog would not be welcomed back due to the behavior they displayed. That is not the case, I was told they would allow the dog who bit my dog back at camp. These are the types of dogs they allow at camp, and welcome back once they act out. I would avoid this place and look elsewhere for your beloved pet. Very disappointed with Management and their decision making. They allow dogs who pose risk back with open arms. read more

CAMP BOW WOW LIVE OAK IS THE PLACE TO GO! I absolutely love Camp Bow Wow! From the friendliness of staff to the devout care and attention they show my pups. The prices are very reasonable and well worth every penny. The staff are professional and friendly and truly exemplify great customer service. I'm so happy they recently opened up a new location closer to my home. I enjoy the online live camera features that allow you to watch your pup play in real time. I'm a "hover pup parent" so I have to know what my pups are doing at all times and the cameras allow you to do just that. They provide you with a detailed report of your pups day at camp or daycare. They offer bathing, and overnight lodging. They have been actively adjusting procedures to ensure safety during COVID-19. They still allow foot traffic in the lobby to drop off and pick up your pups but all staff and guests must wear face masks and only 2 guests are allowed in the lobby at any given time. We absolutely love it here for our Phoebe. Per most business right now, they sometimes might be short staffed so be patient in the front. Amber, the owner, is usually there and she's awesome--communicative and trustworthy. The cameras allow us to see Phoebe when she's in the play yard. If we are ever worried, can't see her, or have questions, they encourage us to call. Every time we have picked her up (from day care or overnight stay) she's SO happy and usually passes out as soon as we get home which is nice sometimes lol. Heads up: If you want to do the overnight stay you have to do a day of daycare first! So plan for that :) they also have grooming options! read more

Me and my dog absolutely love Camp Bow Wow Live Oak!! They are beyond amazing and treat me and my dog so well. We could not be prouder to be a part of them. The staff even though I don't know all of their names are fabulous, but I have to give a special shout out to Amber the manager who went above and beyond for me and my dog Bones. I was out of town in another state and my dog had a cut on the back of his neck that needed to be looked at by a vet. She graciously offered to take Bones to her vet in her car on her time to have him looked at. Needless to say, I was a basket case being in another state and not being there for him. She kept in constant contact with me throughout the whole process sending me pictures and texts. Without her I don't know what I would have done. They even let him stay and gave him extra love and one on one time to make him feel even more loved. So, without a doubt I would totally recommend Camp Bow Wow for your dog and yourself, they are part of our family forever. Love how nice and clean they keep everything, even when I saw what had to be over 60 dogs there! The staff is always so friendly and nice to everyone. They treated my dogs better then I could ever hope for. They are my fur babies after all. I really enjoyed how the staff talked to them, like I do at home. I have been to a few different doggy daycare and boarding facilities. More then one didn't even look at my dog, and another dragged my old man on a choker leash. Not this place. They are like family. My crazy pup loves playing with all the other dogs. While my old man enjoys sniffing everyone and everything, then likes to nap in the corner... Camp bow wow is by far my most favorite. I seriously cannot speak highly enough of this facility! Not only are the staff friendly and helpful but they treat our dog like their own, probably better. They took the time to take a picture saying big brother when we boarded to go in and have our third baby! They remember him by name and just always go above and beyond. read more

Was told my dog is too overstimulated and can no longer come to Day Camp. I can accept that if he had hurt a dog, but he's a 10mo old playful puppy and had only been to maybe 5 play days total after being adopted from shelter just prior to starting. So I'm struggling to believe that's enough time to tell that he's not good enough with other dogs. They were very friendly the first 3 sessions and said he was making progress. I was told only most recently that he was overstimulated but they would work with him and only if he didn't get better over time would he no longer be allowed. I didn't think it would be an immediate removal the next session, 5 days later. Instead of being called to come pick him up I was told at pickup that he wasn't allowed in the play yard all day and was kept in a kennel. I was still made to pay the same charge. I think that is absurd, as I could've just left him at home in his own kennel if I knew he wouldn't be able to play at all. They offer training at the location yet didn't offer that as an option either. Just pretty upset that my money was wasted here. Told a friend who was considering to not even waste her time. Lost several customers. read more
