That's some dedication, I think what I liked the most was the no pressure sales, it took a months time, of texting and email before we agreed on a price. Even though we didnt even up making a purchase, I felt the need to complete a glowing review. My wife and I were in the market for a very specific used vehicle, Bluebonnet had one come in and after seeing pictures online, we contacted them and we were set up with Chris Baer, who reached out almost immediately and answered a lot of my questions. Since we couldnt come see the car right away, I did put a $500 deposit down to secure it and Chris hid it away for a couple days until we could come in. (Additionally, I noticed that the ad was pulled from Autotrader and the car was pulled from their online inventory shortly after the deposit was processed, which tells me they were serious about not selling it out from under me.) While we ended up not purchasing the vehicle, I am writing this review and giving 5 stars because Chris was amazing! No pressure, no typical "used car salesman" vibes and I would not hesitate to purchase a vehicle from him or Bluebonnet in the future! Thank you Chris for being awesome! I brought my 2017 Ford Focus to Bluebonnet Ford on July 9, 2025, for a transmission diagnostic and a repair under Customer Satisfaction Program 24N07. I had already scanned my car using a BlueDriver tool and identified PowerShift transmission defect codes (P07A3, P2872). I explained the issue upfront and was told a technician was on it. What followed was nearly a week of silence. I didn't receive a single proactive update. Every time I got information, it was only because I called or messaged first. Meanwhile, I missed work and had no transportation. After finally pushing for answers, I was told the clutch had failed, both shift forks were faulty, and the motor mount was broken -- a $3,200+ repair. And despite this matching Ford's well-documented transmission failures, I was told Ford would offer no goodwill assistance. To their credit, Bluebonnet waived the diagnostic fee due to the delay. But the lack of communication, urgency, and customer care was extremely disappointing -- especially for a known manufacturer issue. I've escalated the case to Ford Corporate and Consumer Affairs, but I would advise anyone bringing their vehicle here for major service to be cautious, ask questions, and follow up consistently. read more

I've had several good experiences with Bluebonnet Ford, today was not one of those. I made an 1:00 service appointment for a simple oil change. I arrived at 12:30 so they were not waiting on me. I agreed to add-on services that would double what I was scheduled for but trusted the service adviser Mikala. After waiting until 2:30 i looked in the service area and discovered they had never brought my truck in and it was still sitting in a back lot. Mikael was totally unaware that my oil change had never been started. This will be the last time I bring my truck to Bluebonnet Ford for any kind of service. My first visit and my last. We purchased a Ford Bronco 2/2023 from a new gal named Ally. Funny enough she is no longer there and neither is the finance guy we signed our life away to. We did not order this Bronco. There were zero Tahoes at the time and I had been without a vehicle for over a month. I was also quite ill at the time. When we walked up to the Bronco we were told that it had $5000 worth of upgrades and had just arrived at the dealership having been ordered and the person decided not to claim. To be clear, I never loved the Bronco but I needed something to drive. I would rather choke on broken glass than be at a car dealership for any amount of time, but I digress.... Fast forward 13 months and I feel like my dreams of getting rid of this hunk of junk might soon come true. Nope! According to the dealer, the original sticker that was on the window of said bronco the day of purchase was no where to be found but they came up with a duplicate revealing a price of $36,700. How could this be? We saw the sticker that revealed $51,700 with $5000 of upgrades. How could this be possible. The young man at the dealership proceeds to tell me that this sticker that he has made a copy of was the original sticker. I let him know that was not on the vehicle the day of purchase. He indicated that they would never put an "alternate" sticker but went on to gush about the imaginary "value" of the bronco at the time as Ford was 12 months behind releasing them. I could give 2 shits but ok. I do not buy into all of that but whatever. So, I cannot get rid of this vehicle as I was completely ripped off to the tune of $15,000!!!! Even Bluebonnet cannot buy it back from me for what I owe on it. Right here is a classic "bait and switch" of the stickers. Yes, that was done for I can assure you that if the sticker we saw the date of purchase was $36,700, we would never have walked out of there paying over $56,000!!!! They are all liars, cheaters and incredibly deceitful!!!! I hope they all choke on every last dollar because they will never get another from me or my family! read more

Sales was a nightmare. We had an appt, yet the salesperson had no idea if the vehicle was even in stock. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly disrespected by the sales and finance folks. It seemed like it never occurred to them that a woman might know how car deals work. When I tried to speak to the sales manager about the disrespect, he told me, "That is how we are trained." So zero accountability, zero preparation, and the worst part? Their failure to follow simple instructions reflected when they ran our credit under the WRONG SSN and TOTALLY jacked up our license plate, then REFUSED to fix it. They topped it all off by telling us that they had no idea where to spare key was.....the vehicle only had 1,500 miles on it. Avoid Bluebonnet. I bought my previous (pre-owned) car from Bluebonnet in 2017and had a great experience. Especially appreciated their no-haggle and affordable price. For months I've been looking for a specific pre-owned model/year/color, but at the start of my search, Bluebonnet didn't have one. I have wasted SO much time, energy and patience in other dealerships I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy (misrepresenting mileage, not budging on price, other unethical, shady tactics. It finally occurred to me to call Bluebonnet again to see if they could find me *the* car somehow. They went above and beyond locating the very car I've been seeking, not trying to talk me into others. Very upfront with pricing and terms. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because their detailing crew did not go into any detail and the car could have been cleaned much better...BUT our fabulous salesman made up for that with vouchers for a detailing business in town! Now THAT'S customer service and satisfaction. Highly suggest asking for Dustin as your salesperson. He very knowledgeably provided answers to my many questions, took the time to explain the cars many newfangled features, made sure I didn't feel rushed, pressured or dismissed (all of which the other dealerships failed). Our finance person was Sergio, also a seasoned pro who helped us and took the time to go over everything thoroughly. What a relief to land again at Bluebonnet, after a months-long ordeal! Actually it's the whole group.. went to look at a 2024 Ram 2500 Lonestar w/21K on it advertised for $49K. Got there, walked over to truck and the front looked like someone beat the hood and front nose piece with a ballpeen hammer, didn't appear to be hail because nothing really showed on rest of truck , there was some damage from scratches etc on rest of truck. Couldn't see any of this on website pics. Needless to say I turned away, I'm still looking for a truck and I'm on a website and there it is again , they moved the truck from Bluebonnet Jeep to the Bluebonnet Ford/Lincoln dealership and reposted it on website with the price increased. My wife and I went into the Bluebonnet Ford dealership in New Braunfels and traded in my truck for a 2020 Blazer. My salesman was J. The vehicle had an issue with the TPSM monitor and damage to the hood, which they fixed the hood that now looks worse that it was before they worked on it. We were also promised that the TPSM would be fixed and my sales man J told me when I asked him if the TPSM monitor was fixed after they repaired my hood, and he stated that everything was done, and it was not. I've texted him multiple times to ask about the TPSM sensor and when he finally got back to me he said his manager told me I would have to pay for the TPSM monitor that they would give it to me at cost after I was promised that it would be fixed by J and the dealership, the finance manager, and according to the Finance manager her boss approved it. At this point, they must not care to blow a good customer out the door over a sensor they promised to fix. I expected more out of a dealership like this than to get lied to just to make a sale. Warranty work was done only after numerous attempts to find our warranty information that took days, we bought the truck here? The "free" oil changes for 2 years We had to argue with the the counter person each time claimed they couldn't find it..never less than a 20 min wait while they look for the info in THIER computer. BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a 2008 Lincoln Navigator from BB Motors in 2015. It had 87k miles. I purchased a premium extended warranty. AT NO TIME DID BB MOTORS DISCLOSE THAT THIS VEHICLE HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN IN A SERIOUS FRONT END COLLISION. In fact, BB Motors don't disclose any important information like THE VEHICLE IS RIDING ON RETREADS! At 75 mph on 167 heading towards Arkansas, the rear passenger tire exploded. Literally it came apart. You don't have to be in the tire business to know what a retread looks like. But if you don't, check the pictures I've posted. One might think BB Motors would be concerned about the near fatal collision that was narrowly avoided; the exploding retread. One would be wrong! Spencer Brandt advised me that he was in possession of a receipt for brand new tires installed on the vehicle when it had 64k miles. I'd really like to see that receipt. Why do they have the receipt? Was it in the glove box when BB Motors obtained the car? I believe that BB Motors and Mr. Spencer Brandt have a receipt for new tires - new RETREAD TIRES! Please note, my previous review was only two (2) months after I bought my car. Of course everything was great. Everybody who buys a used car from BB Motors will post their satisfaction and happiness with their new used car. Then they'll come back to update their review with one star. Watch and see. Failure to disclose is a violation of the rules governing car retailers. BB Motors violates these rules with ease. I will report them. As far as the retread tires? Spencer Brandt advised me to get new tires. No d'uh Spencer. I brought my vehicle into my "preferred, trusted" dealer location. I was told we could get a diagnosis by the end of the week. I never heard back so Monday I called, never heard back from him. I called back Wednesday and finally got a text back that my vehicle hadnt been seen yet. John did a horrible job of keeping me updated. TERRIBLE experience, DO NOT buy from this dealership! If this is what happens when you are trying to buy a $60,000 vehicle, I cannot imagine the customer service for a less expensive vehicle! Caveat: Both my husband and I are disabled vets, people of color, and very conscientious of people's time. I am hoping this experience was not a racial or military issue the Sales Manager had with us. We arrived at the dealership at 6:33 pm to purchase a King Ranch F-150. We wanted 4WD and ended up choosing a Platinum level instead. We started talking numbers around 7:00 pm and had USAA had us on the phone for about an hour. We had a set price we wanted; however, we were flexible on the down payment. While we were there, the Sales Manager not once came to meet us, gave us a ridiculous offer on our trade-in, $15,000, which we were later quoted $18,500 by Tesla and $20,200 by Carmax! He also barely budged on the pricing of the truck, did not offer any discounts nor concessions. Lastly, he and the finance department left us! They left my husband and I, our Sales rep, and closed the dealership down at 8:30 pm. It's at times like this that I wish Yelp had a negative scale similar to the positive scale. If they did, this place would be a negative 5. My experience with this place has nothing positive to write about. Unless, if you count me getting the car back from them! Car was towed in with not starting and transmission unable to be taken out of park. As a new battery was put in less than 6 weeks prior to visit, you would think it was something other than a battery issue. I called and talked to the service writer and explained Firestone had just put in a new battery. Immediately, he said it was their battery as it was not a Ford part. They kept the vehicle a week and replaced the battery and a sensor in the brake pedal (that is why it would not come out of park). I asked if it could have been anything other than the battery, and the service writer said that without doing a total electrical analysis, they would go by the mechanic's 20 years of experience and say it was a battery issue. 6 weeks later, car is dead again. I sure will not be going back to Bluebonnet. One of the things the next Ford dealer found was that someone had cut some wires. As nobody had been under the hood since Bluebonnet, the cut had to have happened there. Will I go back to Bluebonnet Ford? The experience was so bad that the new vehicle I was looking at at Bluebonnet Chrysler is now off my list!!! read more

The Service Center is terrible. I recently bought a used truck. Not from Bluebonnet Ford Lincoln. I bought it in Austin 2 weeks ago and I live in New Braunfels. In 2 more weeks, I'm about to drive 3k miles round trip to go pick up a boat and trailer. So I checked for any recalls and there is 1 that seemed important to me. Something about the truck having an auto downshifting problem. I feel that's relevant to me because I'm about to be hauling 4,000+ lbs for 1,500 miles. First, I went to Ford's website about scheduling the recall. They recommended Bluebonnet since it is so close to my home and have a service center. They asked me for a date and 2 potential time slots in case the first time a lot isn't open. I picked a date 3 days in advance to give the scheduling department plenty of time to book me if they aren't back logged and to give the parts department a chance to order any necessary parts required. The website said that someone from Bluebonnet would be calling me to confirm my appointment. But nobody ever did. So I did not show up 3 days later. The next week, I decided to go in on a Tuesday afternoon to see about scheduling it since I know it will take some time to do the labor. Gray "Like The Color" Hyde was assigned to me by the concierge man waving in all the vehicles. I went and sat in his office and received very little friendly customer service. No greeting. In general, he just didn't seem very happy to be there or to even want to help me. We all have bad days and I dismissed it as maybe he's just a straight shooter who doesn't sugar coat anything. So he asks me what I'm there for. I explained to him everything written above and that I wanted to "schedule" an appointment. He proceeded to gather all my information and even went out to the truck to get my VIN number. He came back in the office and said it would take about 2 hours to complete. I didn't have the time right then and there, which is why I wanted to schedule it. He said bringing it in first thing on Thursday morning would be my best bet. So I said, okay, schedule me for 8am Thursday morning and I'll see you then. Fast forward to Thursday morning (today). I pull in at 7:58am. Again, he didn't seem like he wanted to be there or want to help me. Now I'm not some special snowflake who is expecting a hug and special attention. My expectations are simple and basic. "Hi, how are you doing today?" Or "Hello, how can we help you?" Well, I didn't receive that. I felt like I was being treated with resentment. So I sit down again and tell him why I'm there and he asks for my information and turns out he didn't schedule it back on Tuesday. So he had to gather all my information again and go get my VIN number off the truck a second time. Hardly efficient. He tells me it'll be 2 hours and told me where the waiting room was. So I went and sat and watched TV until it was done. Now I realize that I am not a paying customer. I have a recall. And I wouldn't have even written this yelp review yet at this point. I would have just dismissed the whole experience. But it was getting my truck back 2 hours later that I have the problems that warrant this full blown 1 star review. The technicians turned off my powered running boards. Probably to do the job. I get it. But they didn't turn them back on. At first, I thought they had broken it or disconnected it underneath somewhere. But I went through the truck menus to look first and there it was turned off. Okay, small complaint and crisis averted. Simple mistake, but when you turn something off, shouldn't you turn it back on again when you've completed the job? And even still, at this point of multiple complaints, I still wouldn't have said anything. Except the final straw. I get a couple of miles down the road when I notice a problem. My truck is filthy. That's right, filthy. I had just had it detailed at New Braunfels Prestige Car Detailing service the day before. Paid a pretty penny for it to. They did a great job and wiped everything down. But now, after Bluebonnet Ford Lincoln Service Center, my truck's console is soaked and dried with something nasty. I'm assuming it's sweat. All over the wood and chrome trim. Disgusting. There was even a small pool of fluid in the cup holder which had me curious at first but after seeing what looks like dried sweat everywhere else, can only assume it's a pool of someone's perspiration that collected and hadn't dried up yet. See the pictures for yourself. When I dropped off my truck it was in pristine cleanliness. At this point I should turn around, ask for a manager and get it detailed from them, for free. Made an appointment with Lynn Preiss, but when I arrived at the dealership Mrs. Preiss said she was busy and pawned me off to a man who said, right up front, "I have not sold a truck in years." For a $78,000+ cash sale I wanted a pro. I wanted certain items transferred from my old Platinum model, such as the kick steps, tool box and bed extender, to my new Platinum and was told "that would not be a problem; it was a problem as only the toolbox could be transferred! The new truck came in about eight weeks later and Mrs. Preiss handled the paperwork, mentioning right up front she would like a five star rating." The new F-150 Platinum was a "computer on wheels." I expected it to be pretty much like my old platinum , but It was nothing like it. I received no instruction or invitation for instruction except to sync my phone. Two days later the gear shift froze and I had to call a wrecker to tow. Other problems came up and they picked the truck up, held it for two weeks and still did not offer badly needed and outlined instruction which never came. Since then I took the truck to Northside Ford here in San Antonio where Jason gave me almost two hours of instructions on how to operate and program the complex computer controlled features. The service before the sale was poor, service during the sale was poor and service after the sale was very poor. After buying several cars and trucks from Bluebonnet over the last 50 years I will never buy another from them as they have forgotten what good service truly is. Oh, the last words I heard form Lynn Preiss was, "be sure and give me a five star rating." She gets a shaky one star with an asterisk! read more

called three times and hung up on three times. the fourth time I asked if they were taking calls or doing business, she transferred me to a guy who's not actually paying attention to the call and speaking his email out as he types. How this dealership won any awards sounds like they were paid for. the service is horrid and service advisors are terrible. read more
