I first touched base with Chris a few months before our trip which was a very positive call. He shared places to visit and which places require reservations and other distilleries that do not. That was before we booked with them. There were 6 in our group and Casey was our driver. Very personable and helpful. We booked a tour at Makers mark and lunch at the Bar at Willets. Everything else was spur of the moment. Both Makers and the Bar were fantastic recommendations. The Lexus SUV was comfortable for six but smaller adults ended up in the third row. Adequate but limited leg room. Casey was always nearby after each tasting ready to pick us up at the door. We spent some time in Bardstown and found a little speak easy behind the liquor store that was great...prices better than some of the distilleries at the liquor store. Overall was a very positive 9 hours. Cost wise was similar to others but priced by the hour. read more

Used these guys last week. Casey was our driver and he was bad ass. Picked us up from downtown Louisville and rocketed us into bourbon country. SUV was pristine and spacious, good sound system. Jesus wept and Hurricane Helene sent rowdy storms all the way up the Bourbon Trail. I felt safe as a babe wrapped in his mother's arms as Casey piloted us through the impenetrable rainstorm, telling stories and educating us about bourbon all the way. We had a few appointments to maintain... Casey's intimate knowledge of all the distilleries allowed him to steer us in the right direction, as locations closed due to power failures and flooding and the sins of man. We used bluegrass last month for a 2 day custom bourbon distillery tour. Casey was our driver and guide and he was awesome. He picked us up from Louisville both days and took us to different areas based on the planned itinerary (one day east with stops to Woodford reserve and one day south with stops to maker's mark). The car was an SUV, clean and comfortable. Casey was a great driver. He was friendly, great conversation and had interesting tips and side detours to fill out gaps in the itinerary (ask for the sausage biscuit from the gas station for breakfast if it's on your way). They also work with you creating an itinerary during the planning stage. Would highly recommend anyone that wants to plan a custom distillery tour. read more

I called Chris when another local service left me feeling hustled. We had 4 coming to Louisville for a bourbon tour weekend and wanted to hire a car service to take us from Louisville to Frankfurt. Chris was great. He not only didn't take a deposit, but he gave a flat rate and didn't expect, or include a tip into the rate like the other place. He had an appointment that needed us to leave Buffalo Trace right when our tour ended, but was great in recommending that we leave early to do our shopping before the tour. He held all of our goods for us so we could go do the tour without carrying our stuff. Unfortunately, the tour ran long and while we left the tasting early, I'm pretty sure we made Chris late to his next event. Chris was polite, understanding and professional about it, even when we were the ones that caused the inconvenience. Chris was a great connection in the Louisville area and offers a wonderful service with an immaculate car. He's full of great facts and information about the local area and made the 50 minute ride feel like 15. I'd use his service again without hesitation. read more

We hired Bluegrass for a full day on the Bourbon trail to celebrate a friends 50th birthday. The company is led by Chris and Casey father and son dynamic duo. Casey arrived at our hotel early! The vehicle was pristine and immaculate with the wheels even cleaned. Casey was knowledgeable about every distillery. He knew which ones were duds and which ones were solid. Our tour started at Woodford Reserve. He advised us that at all stops to ask for any special allocations. At Woodford we got the May 2020 derby which because of COVID ran in September. He was spot on. We had a VIP tour of Castle and Key and ran over time, no problem. It was the highlight of the trail. We got to our next destination on time: Four Roses. He correctly advised us that this was going to be a soulless corporate stop. We hit two others, Bardstown (more akin to an IKEA than a distillery) and Heavenly Hill and were taken home. Casey provided water and offered to get us something to eat while inside as really only Bardstown has eating facilities. Because of his knowledge we left four roses and hit Bardstown eating facility before the tour. His knowledge of inside tips was impressive: to where the tour lines up, to the details, to the length thereof. If you want locals born and raised Louisvillians go no further than Blue Grass; you won't be disappointed. read more

He took into account all the things we wanted to do and made some suggestions that were so amazing we decided to leave it in his hands. We did 2 days of touring distilleries and added a few stops along the way. He was open to changes and he knew all the best places off the beaten track. Can't comment on the ride yet, but, called up to make airport transportation and bourbon tour arrangements and a live person answered the phone. He was knowledgeable about my needs and quickly provided me with my options. Price is on par with other local transportation services, service is exponentially better than what I got from the other guys. . . . So I had my ride now. Car service from the airport and their limo van for a day to tour some distilleries. Driver was waiting for us at the airport and promptly got us to our airBnB house. Following day driver picked up our pre ordered lunch and took us on our tour. Each distillery tour takes at least an hour. As soon as we texted the driver that we were done with a tour he picked us up within 2 minutes. Still 5 stars. read more

Hands down, without a doubt, best decision I made for my vacation to Kentucky was hiring Bluegrass Executive Transportation for a day on the Bourbon Trail. I first contacted Chris to set up airport pick up and drop off for me and my best friend. About 1 week prior to our visit, I switched things up and canceled the airport trips, and said I was interested in booking a bourbon trail excursion. He was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The day before our trip, chris contacted me to confirm the details and let me know our driver would be Jim. Jim was amazing! They have provided transportation for me from Standiford Field Airport, Cincinnati, Lexington and for the Kentucky Derby.
