First off I'd like to thank Blue Moon & Co. for my amazing diamond studded earrings. I went in wanting diamond earrings dipped in rose gold. I showed them a picture of how I wanted them and they told me it was no problem that they could get it done. I went to a few places but nobody could do it within the time frame I needed them by. When I walked in to pick up my earrings everyone was very nice and welcoming. My earrings we ready and they looked amazing. I tried them on I was told if I wanted to make any changes they would be happy to change them, however I was very satisfied with my earrings. How silly. I was so upset over the door situation and just driving to DTLA with a toddler in general - and he knew that I'm assuming - so he took advantage - and I let him rob me. I did show him online they sell for a lot more than that - and he said well yeah - and still gave me $200...so a Cartier watch is same level as a crappy Michael Kors? Ok! Last but not least - when a man came in to "buy" a Rolex they were all over him like white on rice - having me wait while they bend over backwards. The guy didn't even buy the watch from what I saw - and honestly I can care less. If you are a mother or you aren't buying or selling a Rolex I would stay away. I've never felt so discriminated against quite honestly. I will say, the owner did finally offer to help me with the door as I was leaving - but honestly the damage was already done. When I followed up with him he at first told me the earring was being repaired, and then as time went on he said that it could not be repaired and he would have to send it back somewhere. This went on for months and he kept telling me it was in customs. Then the truth came out and he began to ignore me. He did not want to return the earrings to me. He said that I could afford to buy them from him, and I did not deserve the gift. I have all his texts which prove that he never planned to repair or return the earrings to me. He even threatened to write a bad review about me as a real estate agent.

Both leis and experiences were really seamless and didn't have any problems with my order. I went and picked up the leis a day in advance too. Inside you see one of their employees making leis at the table and there's options on the wall to choose from if your walking in. The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.
