Bluepoint Pools has taken care of my pool for over two years. They keep it swim ready. I highly recommend this service.

I feel BluePoint Pools and Omar have abandoned my project. I trusted Omar and paid approximately $138,849, in cash, with only about $4,000 remaining on my contract, yet there is substantially more than $4,000 worth of work left to complete. At this point, I believe the payments on my project were heavily front-loaded, and I am seriously concerned that my funds have been mishandled. I paid this money trusting that it would be used to complete my pool. I gave Omar chance after chance. At one point, nobody showed up for approximately a month and his explanation was that one worker had sprained his ankle. I accepted that excuse at the time, but I now question how a project of this size could depend on one worker. No actual work has been performed since July 22, 2026. On August 13, Omar sent ONE worker to my property around 1:00 p.m. When I asked the worker on video what work he was there to perform, he eventually said he wasn't sure and that Omar had just sent him there. What really bothered me was what happened after I contacted Omar's wife. Just a week earlier, Omar himself had told me that his wife was involved in making accounting decisions. When I contacted her, Omar became upset and told me that my project was "no longer fun" for him. Those were his exact words. I feel like every time I ask legitimate questions about my project and my money, I get another excuse and somehow Omar plays the victim. I trusted him. I paid almost my entire contract. My pool remains substantially unfinished, I have received preliminary lien notices connected to the project, and now I can't even get consistent communication or work performed. I have payment records, messages, photos and videos documenting my experience. I never wanted it to come to this. I just wanted BluePoint Pools to finish the pool I paid them to build. No pool equipment No poured concrete on excavated areas Tile not complete on barstools, table , sunken , coping around sunken, decking not complete for inspection, mini pebble not done, fire bowls not installed You will see messages that show us speaking about the payment . At this point I only had two payments left 28k and 4k and I was very concerned and requested that he wait on the 28k til more work was done and he said his wife would not allow him to do that because he did that in past and it was a mess and how angry she would be at him. I paid him and guess what no work has been performed since !!!! But I'm including it in here for transparency read more

Well initial work was fabulous but unfortunately they don't stand behind the work. We told them from day one there were several spots they missed with the pebble Tech surface and I receive endless promises from Omar that he will fix it. It has NEVER been fixed. The tiles he installed are falling off. Omar screens his calls and will not answer or return calls after the job is done. I called from a different number and surprise! He answered! Blue points response is that my Review was unfair because they built this pool for the prior homeowner. Defective construction is defective construction regardless of who it was built for. For the record this pool was less than a year old when I purchased the home. Stay away from them as I will now have to resolve this through the courts they refuse to do anything about this defective pool which they built. My real estate asset mgr and I have been reaching out to Bluepoint pools for over 2 months now and have yet to receive an email response. We totally understand that due to Covid -19, there have been some changes and things may be slow now. With that said, does that mean the warranty on our pool is now void? Does that mean our 90K investment is at risk? Are you trying to dodge us until our warranty period is up? And after you didn't even finish the job/repairs last summer? After Omar lies to other contractors & landscapers about my character as well as posted a nasty, defamatory unprofessional response on yelp, to my initial complaint, are you still acting unethically? Do you realize that I have the evidence and resources to sue you -and win - if I chose too? I'm sure you don't want that and neither do I. You know that I have a child with a major disability and this pool was for him. You also know that I am a single mom & full time nursing student, so my time at this point is extremely limited and thus, the ONLY reason why I did not purse the defamation lawsuit. Now, you are providing yet another reason to bring this to court. You need to respond ASAP! Your email is still working, I assume. We need the tiles fixed that broke off and this dangerous table you suggested we have installed, removed. The company that will remove the table needs information from you immediately so that they can start the work. Please, I hope that you can one day have the desire to do what's right and ethical before AND after you take someone's money. If I have any questions about our pool I am extremely concerned that you will not address any of them! Who wants to have a pool installed by a company and then in the future that customer can't get any questions about their own pool answered because the builder wont respond? I THINK NO ONE! Meshell D your review Is spot on. 1st-off EVERYTHING with Omar has to be in DETAILED writing, His word is no good. 2nd-make sure he list everything that's included and every option that is not included. This way it's in writing... I learned this when I did not get AUTO-FIL, but At signing Omar told us it was part of the "FULLY AUTOMATED PACKAGE" 3rd is to get EXACT details of what's going to be COMPLETED before each payment is due. He begged me for the last progress payment before my equipment was completely installed/ or even had water in my pool. Before I start, blue points workers were good workers when they showed up. Signed w Omar 6/11/19. Omar told us 3 months for completion of our project. Said his workers would be at our house everyday including weekends and holidays to get it completed asap. They only showed up 1 MAYBE 2 days a week. Never showed up when he said they were. Omar Ignored all of our concerns.. only answered his phone and text to his convenience. This is where my project stands today: *pool is losing 1" of water a day, this is after Omar found a crack in the mini pebble tech and tried to repair it himself. Omar hired a leak detection on 9/26/19. They showed up 10/8/19 couldn't complete the inspection cuz they forgot their wet suit. Then canceled once after the rescheduled appointment and rescheduled for 11/7/19. Have not received any kind of report from the leak detection. (6 weeks to complete a leak inspection ) *I have 19 cracks in my concrete pool deck not including the 2 in the driveway that bluepoint also poured.. concrete was poured in August 2019. my concern is the leak is saturating the soil and creating foundation problems.. Omar laughs *faulty spa light. Hayward came out to repair but couldn't because the mini pebble tech is covering the light/lights. Liability issue. They said the mini pebble has to be chipped out before they can change out the lights.. Omar has not addressed. *ledgerstone that We upgraded to level 4 which is PART of the change order money needs repair cuz it's crooked and cracked on multiple tiles. *no umbrella holder installed in the Baja step as in the contract So quick run down... I seen the inconsistency's early in the project when they were not showing up when they were supposed to and it was very concerning. So me and Omar agreed I could hold on to $5000 for the final payment to insure everything was going to get done Correct.. that was his WORD! *My pool original cost $65,500 +Plus+ *Change orders $2,933 *Total cost of pool and change orders $68,433 *Omar's been PAID $63,500 as 8/21/19... *our balance owed is $4,933 (less then the $5000 we agreed on) and he is still harassing me for payment and job is NOT complete! Omar says he's not addressing these issues until he's paid in full cuz I can't be trusted?! But he's 94% paid... I attached a screen shot of his text on 10/24/19 along with the 19 cracks on 2 month old concrete... Lastly Omar is a GREAT talker. I don't have enough good things to say about BluePoint pools. We had a 40ish year old pool that had been empty for 5 years. Omar came out, answered all our questions and gave us a quote. Once we agreed, the price never changed (no hidden costs). BluePoint replaced all our equipment, added a heater, resurfaced with mini pebble. All of their workers were professional and efficient. They are full service for pool rehab!! We love our pool and BluePoint did a great job! read more

I initially received three estimates for my pool project. Although BluePoint Pools wasn't the cheapest, I chose a lower-priced contractor who unfortunately abandoned the job midway, leaving me in a bind. I then contacted BluePoint Pools, and Omar explained what needed to be done to finish the project and addressed the previous contractor's mistakes. Sadly I have updated my review from 5 stars to 1 star. Omar is not a man of his word and this project has now turned into a nightmare: we've had two leaks repaired already since September and ALL the concrete that was done by blue point is cracking and lifting alone with a crooked Ledger stone on the Pilar. Omar has every excuse not to come out and never even came to complete the final with us oh and slapped us in the face with a voided warranty! Mind you we've already paid 95% cash for the project and because we're holding final and upgrades that aren't working right he voided our warranty. I wish and pray we would have went with Pool logic instead , another thing the pebble tech in the spa was not done correctly and therefore the light in the spa glitches so that is supposed to be redone as well: sadly we got screwed and after having 2 contractors come out for second opinions it will cost us so much more to have the project completed right: more than anything the safety of the concrete lifting and cracking. Sad we trusted him so much with such a big project for us. Previous Review: After having a really bad vibe with a different company we decided to call BluePoint Pools and I'm so glad we did. I called and spoke with Omar and after meeting with him a few times we signed the contact today. We had another very comparable quote from another company but Omar's reassurance in our project and for-seeing all possible outcomes sealed the deal. My pool was completed about a year and half ago. I noticed one of my lights was not working about 6months ago. I expected to get the run around. I ended up calling Omar, he answered right away and came out to inspect it. He contacted the manufacturer's rep and got the issue fixed ASAP. Just a week ago the same thing happened to another light, and again the issue was fixed. My experience throughout the construction phase was great, and my experience dealing with them after made me realize I made a great choice going with BluePoint. Highly recommend them. I requested a quote on their website which took about two weeks to respond. Omar was nice and informative when he showed up. Told me they weren't busy and could have pricing and a rendering in a week. Two weeks go by with no response. I called 8/5, and Omar said he thought it was sent out and would call me back. I'm just putting this out there, because a pool is such a big financial investment: If you are thinking of building a pool I would NOT recommend Blue Point. We finally have full use and control of our pool after 9 MONTHS! They told us it would be 3.5 month project. Poor communication and refused to finish some work. When we met Omar he was enthusiastic and almost as excited as we were to build a pool in our back yard. The project took a little over 8 months to complete and with the rain, holidays and a major set back with the placement of the pool equipment that had to be relocated after what was supposed to be our final inspection, we were more than understanding. Since the completion of our beautiful pool we have had a couple issues that we feel are unexpectable for a pool that is only 3 years new. Concrete below the steps has started to crumble and fall into the pool. Omar sent his worker to "patch" it which didn't last. Our actual concrete is multi colored from not curing properly and the coping grey color has started to run onto the actual white deck staining the concrete. The very last thing that sent my wife and I over the edge was on June 16th while we were sitting in the back yard having dinner, 4 water line tiles suddenly fell into the pool. We called and text Omar the next day and he assured us he would come out and take a look at it. After 2 days of no shows and asking to reschedule I sent Omar multiple text and left messages which he has ignored completely. His voicemail says "Hi this is Omar, I can't take your call right now however I will call you right back" that was 4 weeks ago. I have had 3 contractors out to give me estimates and they have all said "why don't you just call your contractor that built the pool as this should be his responsibility since this pool is so new" I have let them know and now I am telling you... he does not have the decency nor professionalism to even call or text me back. $70,000 for a pool that is falling apart before our eyes. Our best quote is $780 to replace 75 loose and hallow tiles. What next? If you want a cheap, unprofessional, unresponsive pool contractor that doesn't back up his work then by all means call Omar at Blue Point Pools. We got several estimates, Omar's bid offered was not the lowest but it was pretty close to it and offered us the most value, even threw in the pool deck. Omar gave us a discount on the mini pebble upgrade, all around it was a very competitive bid. We signed, within 8 weeks we were enjoying our new pool. The Pool and SPA came out amazing. Omar has great customer service, he also was always available whenever we had any questions, had a few changes/modifications along the way, most were no charge too. BluePoint Pools is a family-run business, we got to meet Omar's family: his brother-in-law was the PM, got to meet Omar's Dad on the day the mini pebble was installed, the rest of the crew is all somehow family or a family friend. Omar went above and beyond to get our pool done and his team was very professional. Last note - when our pool & SPA was complete, Omar's crew spent a whole day pressure washing our patio (we have an extra large yard/patio), just as Omar had promised. Building an addition to a house is not like building a swimming pool. With all the television shows on TV, most people know a thing or two about home renovation...but do not have a clue about building a pool. Myself included. This is why you must find a pool builder that you can trust. Omar of Blue Point Pools is someone that you can rely on. Omar not only shows up on time for appointments, he always answered my calls and texts. Even during off work hours. Equally as important, Omar does not skimp on quality parts and the necessary pool equipment...they are included in the estimate. Because, really, what does a first time pool owner really knows what he wants. The necessities like an auto filler, LED lights, variable speed pump, and chlorine generator are included in the price. Omar has integrity, and he takes ownership and pride of his pools. His quote is his quote, nothing extra to pay when the final invoice arrives...except for the all extras (like sea turtle tiles) that you added on during the building process....How cool is that? During the building process, expect the unexpected when it comes to getting approval from your city building inspector, especially if you live in Anaheim. They will not let you proceed if they find the smallest irregularity as to their building code. For instance, the waterline from the pool to our window was just 3" short of the minimum distance required and they did not sign off on it to proceed, so we had to replace a perfectly good window with a new tempered glass. Also, we had to bond (ground with electrical wire) everything that was metal that was within 5' of our pool. (I had to drill an inspection hole on our vinyl patio door just to prove that it is in fact vinyl, without any steel in it). There were many more incidents of minor nit picking that delayed our pool by 2 weeks. This was no fault of Omar and was frustrating to him as much as it was for us. Omar also took care of the items required to pass inspection at no extra cost. WOW! Now that our pool has been completed and up and running, it looks wonderful. Better than what we expected, which is always a bonus! As first time pool owners, we had many questions regarding filters, PH, free chlorine, cleaning, and basic functions of all the equipment. Omar either showed up or took our calls when we had any concerns...and we had more than our share of problems. This is amazing customer service from Omar. Our recommendations to anyone planning to build a swimming pool, is to START NOW, because the design stage, contractor selection (use Blue Point Pools), permit approval, material selection, and the building process take a substantial amount of time. Expect delays if the you change the design after the permit had been issued...because Omar would have to revise the plans and apply for a permit revision. We are happily swimming for 2 weeks now. Kudos to Omar for providing such a great pool building experience from start to completion. Two of our neighbors already have Omar's number when they are ready to re-plaster their pools. We were careful in choosing the company not only for the right price but we also wanted a company we could trust in our back yard all day and night for months. Omar came to our home and made us feel comfortable with him and his company. He is a family man and was concerned about my children's safety when building the pool. I needed to get my pool and spa replastered and tile at water level redone. I called around for multiple quotes. I set up the appointments for the estimates and my wife was the one home showing what needed to be done. The pricing was sent over to me after the estimates. So I asked my wife who she liked/trusted the best and she choose Omar and Blue Point Pools without knowing the pricing. It turned out the Omar was the best price too! It was a pleasure to work with Omar. He works hard, communicated frequently and well. He offers experienced advice and what is best for your pool and family. We ended up bringing our pool up to code with the split drain for the pool. It was never pushed on to us but we knew it was the right thing to do seeing how we have kids over in the pool. The pricing is very fair and I am happy to get everything done and ready for summer.
