Bogner Pools is amazing. When we decided to put in a pool I asked my brother who he used for his pool. He used another company and said in hindsight he wish he had gone with bogner. Bogner was 1 of 3 company's I had come out and do a bid for the project. They were easy to communicate with and worked with my schedule. During the design process they most closely got the design we wanted and knew the restrictions of the city code when they came out which kept us from getting some false promises of what could be done (which we got with one of the company's). Once we signed contract everything went just as planned. I was honestly expecting to have some hiccup as it's a large project with lots of different steps relying on another. But the various crews were all phenomenal, on time, polite and easy to communicate with. The staff at the office was always available via phone or email and was prompt in getting questions answered or letting us know of upcoming inspections. The final project is exactly what we envisioned. And I can whole heartedly say we are nothing but satisfied with the Company. read more

Bogner did a fantastic job with our pool installation! We were referred by a friend who had used the company previously and we were very pleased with the results. We have a bit of a tough backyard to work with as it is sloped. Eric, our designer, did a fantastic job with the layout of the pool and included everything that we requested, such as keeping a grass area for our dogs. He designed a beautiful space. We started looking at putting in a pool and got bids from five different pool companies. Bogner stood out among the rest, and their follow through during the entire process upheld that initial feeling. We loved working with Bogner. Everyone was so communicative, reliable and kind! Building a pool is a stressful project, especially when a lot of the work happened while we were away from the home at work. Everyone at Bogner made the process so much easier and comfortable for my husband and I. We felt that we could reach out to the company and someone would always get back to us promptly, to answer any of our questions or address any concerns. We were very nervous and had a lot of questions and from the start, Nelson always worked hard to answer those questions. Chris was our contractor throughout the build and he was very dedicated and an excellent communicator regarding timelines and addressing our questions. Chris even showed up on a Sunday, during the one hurricane CA has ever seen, to help my husband dig out the sideyard, because due to the construction, there was water pooling against our house. Chris didn't make excuses, he just dug and dug in the pouring rain to make sure we were taken care of. We also worked with Steve a few times, when Chris was out of town and when we had some concerns. He did an amazing job addressing our concerns and making us feel cared for. We really appreciated that Steve was honest about the impracticality of some of our grand ideas!! So sad! We wanted to see if we could even afford a pool, so we had a rep come out. He told me how busy they were, and how much everyone wanted a pool. I did tell him we wanted a quote because and would make a decision to move forward based on the quote. He again told us how much work was coming through and that the were so busy. He told me he'd have a quote in a few weeks. This conversation happened in June-ish 2020...we are still waiting. I guess he thought we weren't serious! Not being in a rush or being fiscally responsible did not impress him. I guess they were really busy. read more

I interviewed 5 companies, but Bogner was the company I wanted to go with from the outset. They did my sister's pool and she loves it. They have a great reputation in the inland empire. However ... First, Chris starts out telling me (paraphrasing) "we're more expensive than others because we're better than the rest, better components, etc." Turns out they're proposing to use the very same equipment as in my other 4 quotes. No points off for puffery, tho'; they all do it. So I found that there is a newer heater, more efficient than the one in my quote. You can find it online retailing for about $3K more than the one in my quote, around $6K. Since Chris said they use the best equipment I thought he'd be willing to substitute that unit for a reasonable price. Chris told me the cost for the newer one would be $7,400. I asked how much credit I was getting for the unit being replaced. Chris said they were giving no credit for the unit in the quote. Online that unit has a retail cost of around $3,000. So that means my original quote included a $3K heater, and to upgrade is another $7,400. In total I would be paying approximately $10K for the upgraded heater. He was willing to take $1,000 off of that price. So $9K to upgrade to a unit that cost only $3K more. Note: I'm only talking about cost of the units because presumably the labor and other materials would be the same for each. I told Chris that I felt like he was sticking it to me. His reply, "sorry you feel that way ... wish you the best." So I'm really disappointed in the way they do business. Seems like demand for pools is really strong these days, so they can jack up prices and basically say take-it-or-leave-it. read more

Shopped around for many months for a pool company, as we had heard horror stories from friends. Bogner came in with a reasonable price from the get-go and did not surprise you with additional costs throughout the project. You can tell Steve and Chris have years and years of experience building pools and knew what they were doing. We live in an area notorious for having hard rock in the ground, complicating the excavation process. So i'm leaving a review here after being more than fair from spending 80k plus last May (approx 1 yr ago( on a pool.) & multiple opportunities for Bogner to make things right (approx 5 reach outs the last 2 months now!) May 2021 pool completed. good work, timely, not the best communication with anyone at times in the office. April 2022 we notice a slate tile approx 12inch in the wall with fountains completely dismantled and cracked. I send an email with pics 4/22 /22 and call and speak to gal in office. writing a fix ticket to come out.. I explain just wanted to be pro active before summer and get this fixed. 3 weeks go by not a word. I call back a 2nd time in may 18th (almost 4 weeks later) speak to shannon send email with pics again and she confirms and sets up a ticket. Here we are in June now coming up on 3 weeks after that last call .... not a single call, email, communication- NOTHING! almost 2 months since first effort for a simple slate tile fix.. if this is to much to ask prospective buyers you may want to look else where. i'm disgusted with no... not just the 'service'... but virtually NO communication... all of the nice is 100% facts... true. hope this helps prospective buyers.... read more

Bogner built my pool 2 years ago. They did such a great job, and we're super happy with our pool. The entire process went really smooth. Sometimes it's hard to find good contractors, builders and the like, but even harder to find someone that will stand by their work and make things right when things come up after the jobs complete. I have been so impressed with Bogner's customer service the last two years. We recently experienced a very unfortunately positioned crack in our concrete decking/coping. Concrete will aways crack, and you really just have to hope for the best. Concrete is also not cheap. I called Bogner and told them about the crack, they came out to assess, and had someone out here to demo and re-pour so quickly, free of charge. They didn't try to do an ugly patch job or just pour a new small section where the crack was found, but rather, they demo'd two large sections of concrete so it would look brand new again. This time they added additional room for the concrete to flex over time. I can't say enough about these 3 brothers that run Bogner. Steve, Bob and Chris, your company stands apart from the rest. Today marks the first day of our Bogner Pool being up and running. Just 7 weeks ago, the dig started. Unheard of to have a pool completed in 7 weeks. The whole process was great from start to finish. My sales rep Chris designed the perfect pool for my family based on everything I told him about my family and our pool goals. The plans were approved by the city quickly thanks to other Chris who handles the plans and dig portion of the construction. The amazing Lorenzo did a fantastic job on our drain system and is such a joy to work with. Seriously, if you're gonna have people in your backyard every day for weeks, you want them to be likable. Then there's all the professional contractors they work with who made my pool even better than my vision. The concrete team-amazing. The tile team-wow wow wow. So fast, such beautiful work. Frank, You would know had the company bothered to take care of it. Joe himself said he would be out and has yet to come. No record of my cracked wall? After four years of ignoring us why would you keep record right? Come look at the concrete mess you left also. Chad guaranteed me a perfect saw cut into my new patio- I got anything but that. Instead it's an embarrassment when people come over. Then your concrete guy I normally love just said OOPS! Are you kidding me? That was a very expensive oops. Do not try and comment on my review to look better when your company damn well knows you screwed us over. The back of our wall was left hollow because your team failed to communicate. The owners son threw a fit because he had to hand haul the dirt he left in the backyard. It was a terrible experience. I am not a "Yelper", so I hope my review makes the cut; Bogner deserves the credit. I was to referred to Bogner by a friend/coworker who was equally pleased by the finished product. I had never heard of Bogner before, and likely neither have you, but don't let that steer you away. Chad was our designer and salesman. My wife and I described our "vision" and theme to Chad as he unknowingly sketched away. One "must" was a rock slide/waterfall. Within 30 minutes of talking to him, he showed us the rough sketch which was exactly what we had envisioned. We discussed our budget and options, and after a couple of weeks, we signed a contract. I did contact two other pool contractors for piece of mind, but Bogner's balance of price and features could not be beat. Of course, we spent more than we planned, but we expected that. Over the next few weeks, a series of subcontractors visited our property. I will say that each group was respectful and professional. Each group of workers seemed to take pride in their respective professions. I was particularly impressed by the team of guys that worked on the decking and coping, Klovenko. I spoke with Jim, who praised the Bogner company for supporting him and his family since the 70's, though good times and bad. He spoke highly of Owner Joe and the rest of the staff. Joe came to the sight on the first day, and throughout the project, which really impressed me. I got the impression he truly cared about delivering a top notch product to his costumers. This type of leadership is contagious, which explains the quality of the workers he employs. We were given a time estimate of 8-12 weeks. From the front office, Yvette keep us up-to-date on the construction schedule and all workers showed up and finished as scheduled. The only delay was my fault; otherwise the project would have been complete within 8-9 weeks. Even with a two week delay, we finished in less than 12 weeks. Of course, there were some minor issues that arose during the construction process; expect them. My main problem had to do with water pooling and grading within the project area. No matter how good the design, or how skillfull the workers are, these minor issues will arise. What impressed me with Bogner, and particulary with Yvette, is the responsiveness to the issues I identified. She immediately responded to my calls and emails and brought them to Joe's attention. Within hours, the problems were addressed. The drainage problem was handled by a crew who installed an additional drain. I will say you can expect a mess throughout the process. That is inherent to the type of work being performed. Close your eyes and ignore it; you will be left with a beautiful finished product. Bring any issues to the attention of Bogner staff and they will be addressed. My wife and I are very happy with the finished pool, and we are glad we found the right company to complete the project. Shop around, but make sure Bogner is in your list of bidders. I cannot say they are the least expensive (they were for me), but I can say they will provide a top notch product, on time, with outstanding customer service. The Pool Building Process I thought I would explain the process from the perspective of someone who has never had a pool and obviously never had one built. I assume Bogner is like other pool companies but maybe not. My pool was $70,000 I assume it was in the middle of pools built. I am sure you could spend more or less on your pool. The first person you meet with is a sales person who I believe works for Bogner Pools. My sales person was Chris. He came out we went over the pool and he had a quote back to me in about 1 week. We settled on the features and the price, I signed the contract and we proceed forwards. The people who come out to layout the pool are also Bogner Pool employees. They also the last Bogner pool employees I saw at my house. I believe a supervisor comes to the house to inspect some of the work from there Sub Contractors but I did not see one of them. So this is where the good and bad starts. I was told Bogner uses the same Sub Contractors and has a long relationship with them. The excavators, plumbers, electricians, tile installers, Gunite installers, plasters and rebar installers are all Sub Contractors. All of them showed up on time and for the most part did a good job picking up after themselves except the tile contractor. They left some materials lying around when they were done but not horrible. Then we have the contractor that poured the coping. They said they would be at our house for 2-3 weeks and just never showed up. Ivette in the office would call them and they would tell her they would be there tomorrow and then just not show up. Better when they were done they left pumped out concrete and left trash all over our back yard. They were absolute slobs. Dell Taco lunch bags, half eaten food, water bottles, forms and more. I guess this is the hard part about the business if you use Sub Contractors and not your own employees. You never know exactly what you are going to get. All that said when I called the office and told them they did come out and pick up what I had not. The people in the office that you deal with are obviously Bogner employees. They returned my phone calls promptly and where generally very helpful. Bogner estimated the completion time between 2 and 3 months and finished it in about 3 months. Pretty good since the first few weeks it rained 10 of the 14 days and the Coping Contractor was horrible. For me the kicker for using Bogner was you pay no money down until the plumbing was in and the Gunite was poured. Basically it looks like a pool at that point. You pay a little less than 1/2 at that point. There is one more equal payment right before they plaster the pool and then a 10 percent hold back when they are completed and the job is done. Overall the job went as expected and I would use Bogner again. Just be ready for everything not to go perfectly. If was grading with letter grades I would give them a B so to me that equates to 4 stars. read more

Bob from Bogner pools was out at my house on April 8th. He replaced one of the Jandy valves that he found to be leaking around the valve shaft which was the source of air getting into the system and causing the DE powder getting into the pool. He also found that my spa bypass valve was open too far which lowered the water pressure into the in floor system gear box which was the reason it was not working. Bob adjusted the valve and replaced the gearset and the o ring. All work and parts was free of charge and everything is now working great!!! Thanks Bogner Pools and Bob. Will definately be recommending Bogner Pools again. read more

The pool installation took longer than expected there is poor communication with the home owner during construction you are often left on your own to deal with inspectors and their sub contractors the finish stonework was not of professional quality and they are very slow to come back out and complete warranty work I am still trying to get my stone work fixed 4 months after they completed the pool. read more

They communicated with us every step of the way. Not only were all the employees that we dealt with professional they were also very friendly and easy to talk to. Thank you Bogner Pools! The process from start to finish was very professional and friendly. Chad come out and interviewed us to see what type of pool would suit our needs and taste. Within an hour or so he had a draft for us to view. Chad helped us make a few minor changes and we were set. The calendar of events was set up and it was going to be about 6-8 weeks. They were extremely flexible and if it did not fit our schedule they were more than happy to adjust. The subcontractors where very friendly and professional. Their work was excellent and they cleaned up every day. We made changes to the decking and all it took was one phone call. Bob gave my wife a very thorough pool start up class which my son video taped since I was out of town that week. I viewed the video when i came back into town. He went through the entire system and made it completely clear on how to properly maintain our new pool. The bottom line is the pool was done in 5 weeks and looks great in our backyard. We had a pool installed this year by Bogner Pools. The pool is decent, but the process building the pool was sub-par. In the beginning my wife told the sales rep that we wanted a future fire pit by the jacuzzi and that we wanted a gas connection to be available by the jacuzzi. Long story short, his idea of a convenient location was a $2 capped tee off the pool heater which is about 50 feet away from the proposed location of the fire pit. When the foreman and I noticed the plans did not include a gas line to be laid. I was told by the sales rep that it was going to cost another $700-$800 to lay the line...even though the plumbers were already at the house with the trencher etc. During the process of building a pool, the pool gunite has to be kept moist, but the unfinished pool was also utilized as a trash pit for the used form board, etc. Obviously the water is going to turn brackish. Bogner's temporary solution? Pour bleach into it. Supposedly, this is the way all pools are built by Bogner and the junk is cleaned out before the pool is plastered Some of the work performed by the electrician was sloppy and he had to be called out to redo some of the work. While most the concerns were primarily cosmetic (routing conduit above ground to avoid removing a chunk of foundation) The poor choice of joints connecting the power to the heater and pump and the lack of glue to seal the conduit below ground...makes me a little concerned about the electrical work that I cannot see. The employees at Bogner are super friendly for the most part and the finished pool looks nice. The other subcontractors involved with the pool did top notch work. Bottom line, with any contractor be sure to stay on top of the project and get everything in writing prior to the start of the project, so you aren't missing anything like a gas line... read more

I contacted Bogner pools for a pool we wanted to get done. I read most local people go with bogner because of their reviews and they are local. I was contacted by A rep who I will leave (nameless)who said he could come about and quote. He said it would be about 3 weeks. Flash forward 3 weeks and he came. I discussed the project and told him clearly what I wanted. A custom design that would include a spa that was going into my slope. I knew it was going to be more expensive and was fine with it. I wanted to do it the right way and not just have a basic hole in the ground. Anyway, he did his measuring and was really against me doing anything not standard and said, well that's going to be a lot of money. Again , I just wanted a quote for what I wanted. I knew it would be over 100k. He finished his measuring and said he would get back to me with a quote and design. It's now about a month and a half later and he didn't even bother to contact me or decline the job. I'm glad he didn't bother to call me back. I found another company outside riverside that has already started my project and my pool is almost complete. Maybe he thought I wasn't serious , maybe he didn't care, either way I took my custom job elsewhere and was treated with respect. My advice for whoever reading this is to not settle for local pool builders and not to be afraid to quote other companies outside your city limits. Thanks for nothing. read more

This is a little late, but Yelp wasn't available 13 years ago when Bogner Pools built our pool. I'm writing this now as I sit outside enjoying it now as much as I did then. Our entire experience was great and they only took 7 weeks, start to finish, to build. That's what set them apart from the rest- they didn't schedule the work to start until they could be there every day until it was done. They also only collected 10% up front and didn't collect the rest until it was time to plaster. (Most companies take more up front with installments along the way which offers little incentive to finish the job quickly.) I've had to call Bogner with questions or for maintenance advice over the years and they have always treated me as if they were trying to earn my business. A+ read more
