She had good things to say about it, but she said that, if I wanted something fruity or floral to try Haro Wachu from Ethiopia. It was as if she read my mind because I had been wanting to try a natural processed Ethiopian. I'm really glad I took her suggestion! It was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tried. I didn't taste so much of a note of fruit in it, but I still loved it! I made sure to make a note of what it was in case I have room for more beans at home and want to order it. So, I do wish it was easier to tell what each pour over was in the menu (They have a lot at reasonable prices!). However, I left there thoroughly impressed with the coffee. I have been wanting to try it out for a couple of months now. The atmosphere is nice. I'm not always huge on the cement floors because noise seems to echo, but the store is well-decorated and quaint but still spacious. The staff were fine, you can tell they're trying to get people through quickly. I would appreciate a simple "Hey, have you been in before?" instead of "What do you want?" but maybe that's a personal preference. We tried 3 coffees -- the Maple Brown Sugar latte, the Bananas Latte, and a White Chocolate Mocha, all iced. The drinks ranged from decent to great. My favorite was the Bananas Latte. I need to grab brunch. So I'm out on the road literally floating around towns in St Louis counties, when I come across a store that has a FARM tractor display in the front. I stop, look around, there ain't be no barns out here that the tractor is from... maybe that's why the tractor is parked in front of the store? I look around some more.. wait a minute there ain't be no farms out here that there would be any barns out here that the tractor is from? So i figure i have to stop off and get reality straightened out. Yes, that's I-44 i see over there, and S. Jefferson I see over there. I _am_ still in St.Louis, aren't I? This isn't Kansas is it, Dorothy (Yes, i was going to use that for the title of the story: "We're not In Kansas are we Toto?") Anyway, so I pullup in the street parking (You wIll not find any parking lots in there area) that aren't a walk away and aren't reserved for other buildings. Fortunately, it's the not the weekend, so plenty of street parking. So we walk up to the store.. Breakfast all day! Lunch all Day! But wait.. can you do that legally? Let's go find out... Right by the door is the paper menu, which means you don't have to wait by the counter to figure out what you want (well, wouldn't you know it, that's what i have to do, as the couple in front of me have NO idea what to order so they stand at the corner...). It's a place where folks who are in/graduate from MSTL's job program can work. One, their coffee is bomb! They mostly do wholesale business right now, with hopes to expand and serve coffee in a cafe to the public. The only place I know of right now that sells it to consumers is Crave Coffee House on SLU's medical campus. Two, their mission is also awesome. If making great coffee wasn't enough... They want to bring growth to North City's economy and provide jobs for folks who live there. Look out for them, they're doing awesome stuff!

The pecan roll was absolutely sticky and sweet and overall just really delicious. Highly recommend getting it warm if they ask you. The barista was extremely friendly, and I found out later that it was the owner that made my drink, which I think is pretty cool and the general manager guided me to get the London fog. Inside is really nice and cozy. Lots of seating whether you wanna sit inside or outside. Definitely can come solo or with a group of friends. If you're in the area above all the other coffee shops definitely make a stop here!
