Such a lovely little spot to grab coffee, a treat, and get some work done. Street parking is available here, but there's lot of side streets for options. The inside is really cute with the hanging flowers, and I loved the light up sign that added to the decor. I got an iced latte and a chocolate chip cookie and it was amazing- probably one of the better cookies I've had in a long time. It was warmed up, soft, and delicious. The space itself is nice a bright, very open with super friendly staff. They have local artist work on the walls for sale which is really cool. I recommend checking it out! read more

A large mural inside Crema Coffeehouse advertises that it's been in business since way back in, uh, 2023. Another coffee shop would have pretended to have been in business since the 19th century, before the latte was even invented, but not Crema. It's got *integrity*. Anyway, no one would believe that anything here is older than a year or two. It all new-looking. It has a certain sheen to it, like somewhere where you'd pay $40 for a Yankee Candle at Plaza Frontenac. As I arrived today with members of my running group, an unhoused gentleman was being, erm, questioned out front by 12. He may have spent the night in the lobby of this apartment building. It just so happened to be right as Crema was opening. Did they report him to the authorities? Should they have given him a job sweeping the sidewalk out front like the wise old neighborhood drunk in the movie Do the Right Thing, the lovable old James? Instead of bringing him downtown, the police merely confiscated his drugs and sent him on his way. (I hope he wasn't late for work.) I wonder what they do with those drugs. I've seen the movie Bad Lieutenant. I didn't know whether to be disappointed or relieved that this place doesn't carry a burrito. I love a burrito more than I love most people, but maybe this is not the place to get a burrito. But I figured I probably couldn't go wrong with a breakfast sandwich. You can't make a bad breakfast sandwich. Even a Breakfast Jack is a good breakfast sandwich. They certainly charge a premium for their breakfast sandwich. I figured this would be a situation where they charge you money out the ass for hardly any food. I was willing to take the hit anyway, for the sake of citizen food journalism, and also because I'd just run umpteen miles. Come to find out, this thing is roughly the size of a football. Its appearance is more along the lines of a torta, the hefty sandwiches from which portly Hispanic girls get their nickname. Alas, it was just okay. The croissant was ginormous but of middling quality. If it were the same size and as rich as the croissants at Comet Coffee, it would be roughly 10,000 calories, so that may have been for the best. The bacon tasted oddly similar to a Ball Park hot dog, in both a good and bad way. They give you plenty of it, but I suspect they still come out ahead. The eggs would have been fine if they'd been salted. In theory, the salt from the bacon and the cheese would have carried over to the eggs, but I don't know if I have a refined enough palate for that to be the case. I approve of a Breakfast Jack, after all. I'm willing to accept the fact that the Horchata Latte may have just been a bad order on my part. I may have needed to specify some type of syrup so that it was sweeter than it was and I didn't realize that, because what do I know about fancy coffee drinks? Or I might just not like horchata, with which I have minimal experience. They carry a gooey butter cake latte, and I should have gone with that. It was calling my name the way crack calls the guy they called the cops on. Which brings me to the Gooey Butter Cake Edges, which caught my eye in the pastry case, as if my sandwich and drink alone weren't caloric enough. I like gooey butter cake (natch), and I like the idea of "cake edges." Would this be along the lines of those brownies that are all corners? It kinda was, except that the crust wasn't quite as crisp as you'd like it to be. I don't think these were the actual edges of a gooey butter cake. They may have just been leftover cake batter baked into strips. It was still delicious, because it was gooey cake. The actual gooey butter cake may have been better. Again, I'm willing to take credit for what may have been a mistake on my part. Like the lovable old James, we all make mistakes sometimes. Crema has only been around for a few years, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time until they get their few issues ironed out. The decor is already top notch. read more

Went early on a Sunday morning. We had my dog with us and so we sat outside. We were able to bring him in when we were ordering and then got a number to put on our table and both food and drinks got brought to us which was awesome! So much seating inside and outside and overall great service. Pretty solid dirty chai and a decent breakfast sandwich, no complaints here! read more

I was trying to decide where to meet up with a new coworker for the first time, and she recommended we go here. I'm so glad we did! Unfortunately, even a month after the STL tornado, it appeared that there was still quite a bit of debris and destruction on the streets all around. This was heartbreaking to see, but I'm so glad Crema seems like they weren't too badly impacted. Parking was a little challenging due to all the repair company trucks and debris. But I would say any other time you visit, there's lot of street parking available. As soon as you enter Crema, you are greeted by a bright, trendy, and welcoming space. It's so aesthetically pleasing and cute in there! I did some snooping on their social media prior to coming and saw they have a season iced gooey butter latte, so I was super pumped to try it. It exceeded all my expectations! I don't think I've ever found another coffee shop in STL that has a gooey butter latte. I'm so here for it! Very strong, smooth, and delicious. My coworker had an iced caramel latte and loved it. She also brought her son, and he enjoyed his berry smoothie that looked yum. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Crema grasps the modern coffeehouse vibe: local art on the walls, a light-filled room offering plenty of seating, and replete with people watching opportunities on a busy street corner. Their drink menu rotates seasonally, so there's frequently new drinks to try. A bakery case also offers sweet treats (their homemade gooey butter cake is tops). Crema also has a lunch menu that I have not yet tried. And the baristas: friendly, welcoming, and fantastic coffee brewers. I visit at least once a week and am never disappointed! New coffee shop unlocked. This one is certainly a hidden gem. Attached to a hotel(or apt, idk) this corner spot gives off 90s nostalgic coffee shop vibes from the exterior. The interior is great. Clean, well designed, not busy at all(not sure why). They have a community bulletin board for local artists, happenings, and the occasional missing fur baby(:(). When I walked in a worker was hand whisking some sort of dough for their baked goods. Fresh! The workers were likewise welcoming, respectful, and joyful! Everything and more you want from the local coffee shop. I had a great visit to Crema! I recently purchased the STL coffee pass, and Crema was included on the list. I had never been and was excited to try a new coffee spot! The space is open and inviting with local artwork for sale on the walls. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I ordered a vanilla cold brew and forgot to add cream. I asked the staff for some cream and they kindly let me add as much half & half as I needed! The cold brew was strong & flavorful without being acidic which I appreciated. After enjoying our drinks, my friend and I wandered around the connected Eras lobby space which was beautiful! We would definitely come back to visit! read more

Relatively new (2023) coffee shop, I stopped here on a fairly dreary weekday morning in December. Friendly employees and a spacious but well decorated area to hang out in, if you have time. I of course stopped by to check out one of their winter specials, a gingerbread latte. Other than the specials, they seem to have your standard coffee menu you'll find at most local shops. This does look like an excellent option if you live or work in the area, but depending on the time/day you stop by for everyone else, you may need to park a decent distance away. So for that reason alone, it's really more of place to stop when you're not in a rush. read more

This place is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I cannot speak highly enough about Cream Coffeehouse. I believe they recently opened in December, which explains why there aren't many reviews of the place yet! However, don't let that deter you from coming, the coffee and food was delicious and it's a perfect place to get some homework done or meet with friends. Their pricing isn't too bad either--not cheap, but most cute coffee shops aren't. I came here with a friend to get some homework done and eat some breakfast. I got their breakfast sandwich and added avocado. It came on a fluffy and buttery croissant. This sandwich basically melts in your mouth. Their lattes were also delicious. I got an iced lavender latte with oatmilk. My friend got an iced brown sugar latte with oatmilk and enjoyed hers as well. The coffee was perfectly sweet and smooth. They have a little area with ice water, silverware, napkins, etc that was self-serve which was nice. They also have a compost bin, recycling bin, and trash. They seem to care about their impact on the environment, as shown by their use of composting, cloth napkins, and glassware for dine-in. Most people had their coffee in glasses, but for whatever reason mine came in a plastic cup, which was fine. As far as the coffeehouse itself, it has lots of natural lighting because of the big windows. It's attached to a lobby of an apartment building, which customers are allowed to flow into if it gets too busy! No one had to go to the lobby area, but it was nice to have the extra space if it was needed. They have some booths, high tops, bar seating facing the windows, and normal tables. HIGHLY recommend this place for a breakfast or lunch date or some studying. read more

Crema has quickly become a go to for my partner and I. It's less than a block away, which is AMAZING and so exciting. They serve coffee from a roaster in Nashville and Big Heart Teas. The space is super cute and coming along wonderfully. If seating is full, the apartment complex it's in has a huge lobby with more chairs. They have a nice community board to post events and business cards onto which I love. Everyone has been great to us when we've gone in and I've taken a liking to their cinnamon rolls. They're gooey and soft and super delicious! I always get an oat milk latte or a hot tea, and I've never been disappointed. They offer wifi so you are welcome to stay and work, with outlets installed around the place. I hope they have a successful and long run because the residents in this area are so thankful to have them! read more
