The burgers are the BEST and the potato salad gives mine a run for its money. The menu has something for everyone and it's all delicious! Grabbed some takeout from here. I had the 3 meat platter with beef brisket, pork ribs, and italian sausage. The beef brisket was a massive piece of beef, about 3 inches thick. It was tender and juicy. The italian sausage was sauteed in red onions with red and green peppers. The pork ribs were fell off the bone easily. There were 2 sauces to go alojg with the meat. I liked them both. My only issue was that the meat had too much smoke flavor to the point that it tasted like soot to me. read more

That's been transformed into a lot of seating and a lot of of space for people to visit in groups or individuals. They have entertainment a few times a week and they have an incredible bar beer and bartender. I've had the brisket and the coleslaw and the Black Eyed Peas salad all were first rate the brisket that I had was on a bun with toppings and it must've been 3/4 of an inch thick. I was in a time crunch and wanted to check this place out so I placed a to-go order over the phone. It was simple and easy. My order was ready when I got there. The parking lot was very dark, but I wasn't scurrrreed. After I got there, I wish I could have eaten there. the place was very nice. It was almost like a park. They have a bar area with a lot of seating. There is also lawn seating with covered picnic tables for you to eat. There is a stage, which a band was playing music on while I was there. And there are Adirondack chairs set up in front of the stage to watch and and enjoy the music while sipping on your drink of choice. Other Adirondack chairs and places around the property with small tables. The food actually comes from a food truck. And of course it does. You know why, because all good food comes from a food truck and this was no exception. The staff there was very friendly. Even though the food is prepared in a truck behind it. I picked my order up at the bar and the bartender could not have been nicer. I did find it weird though, that they add $1 to each item that you order to-go. I have never really seen that, but ohhh well. The restaurant's prices are still very completive and reasonable, even with that fee added on. I had ordered the Triple Threat Big Boy Burger (burger, bacon and pulled pork) with a side of potato salad. I will admit that the burger was a bit soggy because it to so long for me to get back to where I was staying, but it was phenomenal. It was very flavorful and juicy. I highly recommend it. The potato salad was pretty good too. My meal was very filling and I am glad that I was able to check this place out, be it to-go. This is one of your better barbecue joints on the island, bar none. Jan.8,2023. Went for Sunday brunch and had a great time. They unexpectedly had live music a 10am which was a plus. This is an outdoor BBQ place on a hill past 5 points. A square bar with lots of seats and picnic tables with covers and umbrellas as well as a stage for bands. We ordered a bucket of mimosas (a bottle of champagne with choice of juices). Ginnie got biscuits and gravy and I got an egg sandwich. All was wonderful, we probably could have stayed all day! I wanted to grab some BBQ while I was in St. Croix last month so I looked this place up, went there, and it was a great experience. This eatery/bar is on the side of the road. I parked my Jeep and grabbed a seat. The bartender was really cool and nice. I ordered a couple drinks, chopped brisket sandwich, and some of their smoked wings. The food came out super fast since it was already prepared and smoked. The brisket sandwich was awesome; piled high. The wings were awesome. The drinks were tasty. Drove past this Gem of a spot a few times on our trip before being able to stop in, and boy do I wish we'd have stopped sooner.. Atmosphere was very relaxing and "chill" just like the beers. The food was nothing short of amazing, possibly the best meal we had on the island. I am on vacation. Stopped here Tuesday for dinner. Their specials ran out when we got there at 630pm & found out they closed at 7pm. Very friendly Eddy bartender-waiter took care of us. Their pulled pork sandwich was deliciously yummy. We came back again on Thursday for chicken pot pie, steak, more pulled pork sandwich & live music! This time we showed up at 4pm & stayed til 730pm. The live music singer was impressive. Then heard from a customer about their jalapeño Mac & cheese. I was too stuffed to order. Will have to come back for this. Had a wonderful time hanging out here! Great place to hit if you are heading out to Salt Bay from Christensted for a night kayak as no options at the marina. Four stars for what it is. The name pretty much says it all. It looks like a bar and grill set up in someone's backyard. Like many places on the island, it's open air, so be prepared for that. The food is freshly prepared, on the barbecue off to the side. Or, there are pot pies available from a lady who makes them in a trailer on the property. I've had the pulled pork sandwich, which was quite good, as well as their half pound hamburger, which was very filling. I've also had their hot Italian sausage sandwich. Also really tasty! They have some soft drinks and a variety of bottled beers available, too. As the island recovers from two major hurricanes, there are more places opening up that serve burgers and BBQ. However, I've been here almost three months and haven't found any better than this little spot. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but it's definitely worth the hassle. If you're in the area however, and hungry for some meat, this is the place! read more

Still great! We went back and this year took our sons and a guest from Australia, an expat. She went bonkers for the brisket, it was her favorite meal of the trip. She also rated the Cruzan Confusion the strongest of the trip -- it certainly powered her up for our nighttime cruise on the bioluminscent bay. Sprossling was bummed to not get the special, pot pie, as he was done out of it by the preceding customer. However he was happy with his pulled pork sandwich, one of his go tos. The Colonel got the brisket sandwich and didn't eat the bread, as per usual. I had a lamb burger, which was good, maybe could have done without the tzatziki, which tasted authentic, but didn't quite enhance the lamb as much as something tangier might have. The only thing I didn't like is they added a tip on your bill ( party of two ), and then they asked for another tip on the bill. If you're not paying attention, you would tip twice. If I was in North Carolina or say Memphis I would certainly take a star off but for STX you might as well be in Austin TX. It is one is the most affordable meals you will have in STX. This has been our 5th trip to St. Croix. We eat here every time, several times during our stay. It seems to be very hard these days to have consistently good quality food, well Blues Backyard BBQ has done it. The Brisket still as good as it was when they opened. It used to be available only Friday's, now it's being served every day. Hubs ordered a burger with pulled pork and I got the pulled pork burrito. Both were amazing. Friends ordered meat platters and sandwiches. There's a plaque at this food truck that's so easy to miss. It's an employee of the month plaque. For over a year, the same name has gone up in that plaque...except for one mystery month with a question mark. Go visit Ms. Sara. She delivers the best damn food. Her boss is from up north on the mainland and he bangs out one HELL if an amazing bean recipe. Between the three of us that ate here, we got: Cornbread waffle topped with brisket chili (oh my god...I could have died) A burger--which the person who ate it, said it was the BEST burger shed eaten in a long time. And something else that I can't remember...but that he loved. We all got 2 root beers and one ginger beer. It was solidly amazing.
