Flight was delayed so got in late and stopped at Shupe's for a bite to eat. Our server was nice and friendly, food was very tasty and the late evening atmosphere with sounds if the ocean was a great ending to our long day. The burger was delicious, the parmasean fries a little soggy though for my liking. Also had the wings which were good. We would go back and recommend to everyone. Friendly and fun bar right on the dock, perfect for a post-cruise beverage and bathroom pitstop. Mix of locals and tourists and right on the water with an outstanding view. Excellent music taste! Stopped here for a burger while spending the day in Christiansted. The place was busy and loud, which made us think it must be good. Ordering was done via a paper form--a clever and efficient system--but everything comes out in a brown paper bag "to-go" style, even if you're dining in. The biggest downside was the wait: over an hour for our food, which isn't ideal when you're a hungry group of four. When the food finally arrived, it was only slightly warm, far from hot. That said, after an hour of waiting, no one was complaining too much, and the burgers were decent. The Cajun fries were flavorful, though just on the verge of being cold. Overall, while the food was okay, the slow service and lack of freshness at serving time make us unsure if we'd return. read more

Shupe's on the boardwalk is a must visit bar & grill. Similar to Leatherback this place offers mor than just food and drinks they have a weekly crab race that is lively and makes the visit engaging and memorable. Locals here seem to appreciate the tourists and tend to always ask "what brings you to the island". Of course, one thing I learned about STX which I cannot verify is that they drink more per capita than anywhere else in the world, so I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing but that would be impressive if it was true. Shupe's a relaxed and casual atmosphere with water views that offers food and beverages and each time we always get the crispy wings which are perfect bite size appetizers to go along with the local beers. Came here on a Wednesday evening for a burger, fries, and cocktail. We were easily able to grab a high top by the water and enjoyed the view. Our server was young and very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were able to get good info from him, in addition to food and drink recommendations. I had a basic cheese burger with a side of cajun fries and a lime in the coconut cocktail. The burger was as expected, nothing crazy. The cajun seasoning on the shoestring fries was amazing!! It had just the right amount of kick. I would go back just for them. The lime in the coconut was a frozen drink that had the perfect balance of tart, sweet, and refreshing. We had some rooster friends hanging out underneath of the table, but not to the point of them being annoying. read more

Did not eat here.. just came here for drinks and to party and listen to incredible music.. it served just that purpose. It is right on the water (dock area) and that gives it a super cool vibe. It is all outdoors and that just adds to the energy and the feel.. anytime you can be outside.. do it! Especially on an island. Came here for an EDM type weekend, the sound system was awesome, the bartenders are really good at keeping up and accommodating and I was grateful for that! The only thing that kind of sucks is the bathroom situation, not super convenient and if you are upstairs you gotta go all the way downstairs.. but it is what it is. Gorgeous waterfront location near the Dutch fort as well. Great place to stop for a quick bite if you want to explore the rest of Christiansted. Shupes is located perfectly on the boardwalk and provided great views. I was startled by a cat, dropped my food, and the waiters immediately provided me with a second order with no charge. They are known for their burgers. You fill out an order sheet with your toppings. Vegetarian options are available too. We arrived in Christiansted late last night, a Monday after a bioluminescent tour. A lot of restaurants closed early on Monday. We happened upon a local who was kind enough to guide us down to the boardwalk and Shupe's. They serve the food take out style. We tried two varieties of chicken wings, naked and garlic Parmesan. This was hands down the best place we ate while in St. Croix -- an absolute must-visit! Shupe's has a great selection of American food and drinks at very reasonable prices. The location is perfect, right on the boardwalk, with plenty of seating and a relaxed vibe. You just walk up, grab a seat, and enjoy. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We ordered cheeseburgers with fries and they were excellent -- exactly what we were craving. The food is served to-go style, but it's easy to settle in, enjoy your meal, and hang out with a few drinks while overlooking the boardwalk and harbor. If you're in Christiansted and want good food, cold drinks, and a great view, Shupe's is the place. We'll definitely be back next time we're on the island! read more

Shupe is a vibrant ocean front restaurant that you can go any time of the day and open late night. There are very few places in St Croix that are open after 10pm. So that's a big plus. Limited food options but service is quick. The place is big with a lot of bar area seating. You take a piece of paper and select the food and sides you want and they ll bring it to you. Such a cute little bar--we were only in town for 4 days and ended up coming here twice, and it didn't disappoint. The burgers are seriously amazing. I had the chicken sandwich, which was solid, but the burgers are definitely the winner. My friend was even complaining later that night that he didn't grab another one to eat in the middle of the night--definitely some next-level food regret. The drinks were great, the bartenders were super friendly and helpful, and to top it all off, we even got to meet the owners, who were absolutely fantastic--welcoming, down-to-earth, and clearly care about the place. Highly recommend if you're looking for good food, good drinks, and even better vibes! read more

Quite disappointing, we waited over an hour for burgers and fries and the restaurant wasn't even busy.... Food came out cold and soggy and got orders wrong which I find confusing because you literally write down what you want so it's in front of the cooks face. I stopped by this restaurant this evening for dinner. It was my first time there. My server was professional and courteous. He was quite busy tending to the customers sitting at the bar as well as the other customers. I ordered 3 items: Buffalo Chicken Wings, Garlic Parmesan Fries, and a Veggie Burger. All items were served 30 minutes after my order was placed. The food at this restaurant is served in a "To Go" fashion as a safety mechanism because of Covid. The Buffalo Chicken Wings were okay but they were not spicy at all, and they were very dry. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were okay although they weren't as good as I expected them to be. The Veggie Burger was the biggest disappointment. The burger was significantly over cooked so much so that it was hard to the touch and very crispy especially around the edges. I was not expecting that. I gave this restaurant a 3 star rating because the view is amazing, and I had a professional server. read more

This place is great if you want a Amazing hamburger. Four of us all got the hamburger. Each person gets a slip that you check how you want it built. I got a double cheeseburger with everything on it, so good. The fries are hand cut and are great. You set outside right on the boardwalk with a view of the bay. The service was good. Orders are marked on a pad, pick a single or double burger, and check each topping...lettuce, tomato, onions, ketchup, Mayo and so on. They have chicken sandwiches, fries. Limited offer but very consistent and good. We usually sit at the bar and get great service, if you sit near the blender you may even get some free tastes. I was in St. Croix for vacation last month and after an amazing, and boozy, sunset sail, I needed some food. Shupe's is right on the water and just a walk down from the dock. I sat down and was immediately greeted. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and truffle fries. It came out in about 10 minutes. The burger was fantastic and the fries were pretty good. This place has a great atmosphere, the bar tenders make great cocktails and it is a good place to go at night since it is the last one to close. The only thing is that the music is too loud which doesn't allow you to have a conversation with your peers. However, picking a table outside would be the option, which it is enjoyable with a great ocean view. read more

Loved Shupe's so much during my stay in St Croix that I came twice in two days when I had to choose where to eat on the boardwalk. I even got the same exact meal twice in row which I never do, it's rare for me! But their veggie burger in a lettuce wrap with fries is a total hit for me. The options for their fries, cajun, plain, truffle parmesan, garlic parmesan, or thyme, rosemary & sage was amazing. I opted for cajun and plain and was not disappointed either time. I got ice cream one night too which was a great end to the meal. I enjoyed the friendly service and the chickens that clucked all around me while I observed all the activity on the boardwalk and in the water while the sun set. It was a really nice, cozy spot that I will definitely come back for if I am in the area again. read more

Average spot for burgers, wings, and fries fare. It's conveniently in the Boardwalk, but basically your typical American burger joint. It's good if you're just looking for a quick casual bite and want to be full, but there's probably better spots around the area. Cajun fries were pretty good, they were hot but wish they were a bit crispier (and less oily). Burger was solid, think like Five Guys / Shake Shack Quality, though the bun was very mediocre (felt like grocery store buns). Wings were good and juicy, but a little on the small side. read more

We visited this restaurant around 7:30pm the evening, and we had outdoor seating. The server told us that only the bar and togo options were available, despite that it was not very late in the evening yet. The menu is small, we decided on a Spicy chicken sandwich, herb fries, and the BBQ wings. Additionally we had a virgin mango smoothie. The food was mediocre, given the price we were expecting a bit better quality than frozen tasting food. Unfortunately it tasted bland and basic ingredients thrown into a foil wrapper. The fries were decent but soggy and also in foil wrapper. The smoothie was good and fresh tasting but straws were 1 dollar so we used a spoon. The wings were nothing special as well. The workers seemed to be annoyed every time they walked over to us, up until we paid the bill. They seemed to switch to a much more positive attitude. I would not recommend if you have a larger group(4+ people) since we did not feel accommodated. They seemed to have a negative attitude towards us. read more
