This place is great! We didn't have a reservation so we sat at the bar, but I didn't mind because we got a great bartender who made excellent mocktails. Very creamy and tasty clam chowder. My friend and I also shared the goat cheese salad which was excellent. We created our own surf and turf by ordering a lobster tail and the filet mignon. Both excellent, I got too full trying to eat the entire lobster tail. A casual but upscale kind of place, I would say good for a group dinner or a date night. read more

We've heard good things about the restaurant and finally decided to give it a try. The food was good and the place empty the night we dined but started to pick up when we left. The seafood pasta dish was flavorful. One of the mussel shell was broken and I didn't think anything of it until I had some pasta and broken shell was in it. Not a pleasant experience to crunch on shell pieces. The shrimp still had tails on and ended up crunching on one of those too. It's kinda like you're the passenger in a ride in the countryside and they have the wheel. Which is a good thing! Let go of your A-type personality and let it happen. Again, you won't be sorry. Came for a birthday party.. Ordered the 8 ounce lobster with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Halfway through the meal, it was discovered that the lobster was Raw and uncooked. We told the waiter and he snatched the food up when he came back. He advised us that they will take it off the order. No apologies or nor did he ask if the customer wanted anything else to eat..The person that ordered the lobster only ate a small portion, but they mistakenly ate some of the Raw Lobster..So they were still hungry and nothing was done. Mind you it was a party so everyone ate except for this young lady. The manager never came over to apologize nor did the waiter apologize. After the meal was done I had to call the manager to the front. Keisha came and was very short. I advised her that raw lobster carries parasites and bacteria that can cause food poisoning. I asked why she never came to the table to check on her customer.. Keisha advise she lets the server handle those type of problems. Keisha's attitude reflected the raw food that was served. When I ask her for her card she refuse to give me any kind of information but her name..Not only did they serve a customer raw food that contaminated the whole plate.. The customer left Hamilton's hungry and woke up having to vomit.. Didn't ask us for contact information or give us any. Open dining room concept with neutral colors and warm lighting. Food is amazing! We ordered the Surf & Turf, Seafood Pasta and Open Shrimp Sandwich on home made crostini. Costs are moderately higher than other restaurants but the prices matches the quality & portion size of the dishes. Service was impeccable and the choices of desserts were delectable. Hamiltons came highly recommended so we decided to make a reservation for our first night in st. Croix. The service was great and they were accommodating with our lateness due to flight delay. I didn't order drinks, only food. The food was disappointing as there was no flavor. I ordered the seafood pasta and I continuously had to keep adding salt. I was trying to make a reservation prior but was unable to since I'm so used to OpenTable so when my daughter and I arrived on Sunday for her birthday dinner before we left the island we were told there was no availability however when we went to exit the angel of a manager Dwayne made preparations for us to be seated and served for that I am so grateful. The waiters Kevin and Alex were so nice and courteous continuously checking on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Also their bartender was so sweet and funny though I didn't get his name. The open faced shrimp toast appetizers were over-salted, and served on horrible bread that was stale & tough. It took over 30 mins to bring our appetizer. The mains were so-so. My ribeye steak was barely room temperature, and I had to send it back for re-heating. It took over 45 mins between finishing our appetizer & the main course coming. I've been eating here since it first opened about 4 years ago. Consistently good food and they have a wonderful wine selection. The Spanish Gin & Tonic is the best on the island. The only negative I can see is the menu is limited if you're a vegetarian, consequently it's not my wife's favorite spot. read more

Tuna bite appetizer special was mid. The fish was a little on the dry side and a few pieces were fishy, as though it wasn't as fresh as it should have been. This is our, I couldn't even tell you how many times we've been already, trip to Hamilton's! We absolutely adore everything about this restaurant! The food is always spectacular, and the servers and hostess are always such sweet, courteous people! The filet is one of our go-tos. The meat, the presentation, and the little garlic butter candle lit on top are just perfect! Specifically, this past visit, there were multiple birthdays celebrated all on one night from different guests in the restaurant, and each time 'Happy Birthday' was sung, the energy boosted, and the entire restaurant clapped, cheered, and whistled! Everyone who works there has a vibe that's just on another level, and it feels like some other beautiful world inside! Our server tonight, Victor, was the most amazing, genuine, sweetest soul we've met on island! Loved the atmosphere! A truly beautiful restaurant. The decor was very impressive! Every detail was considered: down to the lime in our cocktail being branded with their logo. We were able to get a same day reservation by eating at 5pm, when they open. We had the entire place to ourselves, except for 3 people at the bar. The wine options are extensive, cocktails are limited, but beer selections were poor. According to our server, she said they only had Bud and Bud lite in a bottle. No drafts. Nevertheless, the food was well presented and tasty. We had the lobster tail, mahi-mahi, and brownie for dinner. Best cuisine on the island for this type of eatery. Giving it 4 stars because the service was disappointing considering we were the only ones for an hour! read more

We've been loyal customers of this restaurant for over 5 years and have always enjoyed the consistently great food and luxurious atmosphere. Unfortunately, today was the first time I left disappointed and questioning whether we'll return. It was uncomfortably hot inside, and when we politely asked if the air could be turned down, a woman (not our server) came over with a noticeable attitude and said, "It's on 68--you're just hot because you're by the kitchen." I've sat in that same seat at least 20 times before and have often felt cold, so her response felt dismissive and unnecessary. I would've appreciated honesty or at least a more courteous tone. The food was great. However- To top it off, our dessert took about 20 minutes to arrive, which added to the overall frustration. What used to feel like a high-end, welcoming experience didn't feel that way today. I really hope this was just an off day, but it was disappointing enough to make me rethink coming back. read more

The island has a few excellent places that are perfect for date night or a great dinner at the bar. This is one of the top ones. It's a nice, elegant spot with a great vibe. I've been here a few times on various trips now. Food is top notch, I usually get a special... especially if Tuna is on the menu. ** My only complaint is the bar service gets a little slow as the tables fill... . First time visiting St Croix and we were told this is a must visit for an above average dinner on the island. They did not disappoint. Just be prepared to spend some money as this is not a beach bar style and the meals are very good. Our waiter Alfred was great. Very attentive to the table. Great personality and easy to joke around with. The GM greated us at the door (forgot her name) and was very friendly and welcoming. She was actually opening the restaurant as we arrived. Unless many fancy high end locations the portions here were plenty big enough. All four of our meals and the apps were delicious. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly, the steak and seafood the same. If you are a bourbon fan, this place has the stuff you can not find anywhere else on the island. read more

While I applaud the attempt to bring another fine-dining choice to Christiansted, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Nice open-kitchen concept and a good-looking menu leaning toward steak and fish. It took 2.5 hours to get through our meal, and it tasted like my mahi entree might have been cooking that long. Couscous was so salty it was inedible. Arancini appetizer was wonderful and goat cheese salad was nice. Mushroom risotto was an enormous portion of overcooked paste (not a typo for "pasta," this was paste) with maybe three mushrooms included. Oddly, hostesses made other diners sit at the bar despite 90% of the tables being empty even after our lengthy sitting. read more

Excellent food and atmosphere! My wife and I came in as walk-in and they were able to accommodate us (they'd just opened for the evening). We enjoyed a Rib-Eye special and the Lobster tail. Both came with an exceptionally well prepared asparagus side. Definitely worth going out of your way to visit for an upscale dinner for two or lager groups.
