Probably fine, but I ended up not working with the company because their communications were strange and their pricing not transparent. I called, gave some info, they called me back quick saying they would come take a look. On the phone, i described exactly what needed to be done (quite specific) and asked for an estimate. They said they could only come out, charge a service fee, and assess, and had no idea how much the work would cost after this because they didn't understand the job. I'm going to be honest, the job is extremely straightforward and clear - the reason a price wasn't clearly quoted is because they wanted to charge a random price after arrival, when their bargaining power was higher, not because the job wasn't clear. My honest take: companies should be more clear and transparent with their pricing. If they want to charge a service fee just to come visit, they should tell you that before they ask for your address and say they'll be there in 20 minutes. If they don't know how much they're charging to repair a lock, as a locksmith, then I'm not sure exactly how I'm supposed to know if I want to hire them or spend my time explaining the job to them. Edit: The irony of the company response is that the number I was quoted on the phone was larger than the stated maximum of $75 for residential lock repair, excluding the service fee. read more

The ad said estimate provided in advance but they refused saying it depended on the locks on each of doors. So I asked for a range, but they refused. It was cold outside so I finally relented. First door- said $130, which was way too much so I asked him to check back door. He said he couldn't do it. Then wanted to know if I wanted him to unlock front door; I said, no thanks...too expensive as I walked toward my car to try to warm up, regroup, and try to locate the nice guy I'd one called for my shed door who only charged $80. Then, the guy w/out even call7ng his boss replied, "My boss said I could do it for $100." So insulting my intelligence. What a game! So I reluctantly relented. We walked to the front door & he put tool to door & it was open in less than 10 seconds! SMH. But it it was the notice I saw on Google ​saying estimate provided before coming & refusing that most bugs me. Add the $130 estimate. Won't call again. read more

Blue Sky is awesome! We were having trouble with our Schlage electric lock. I spoke with the office person who had Eric, the locksmith, call me and talk through the issue. Eric gave me a few solutions, including maybe fixing the lock or just replacing it entirely. We decided to replace it (it has been fiddly for awhile now,). He also gave me the option of purchasing the replacent myself or purchasing it for us. I figured it would be most efficient of he did it. Man, was I right. Great Service. Great Price. Called at 5:00 pm to get a quote on a non emergency repair on a 20 year old lock that had been giving us trouble for 10 years and was a different key from our other locks. If I only knew it would be so painless! Nick arrived 25 minutes later, did the initial repair, but recommended replacing the worn out core. This is a great company. Very responsive. The same day I called (a Sunday) they offered to come out. I pushed to a couple of days later. I just moved into a home with three doors for which only one there were keys. For the back door and very convenient lower, street-level door there were none. Fast forward to the visit and the first thing they wanted to do was try and just create new keys for the two doors to save me money. I didn't even know that could be done. In the end, one door with two locks required replacement and the other they were able to make a matching key for so big savings. I highly recommend this company. A side note is that I'm in West Seattle, Seaview area and finding some companies won't service the area due to the bridge being down. This was never even a question. Sometimes you find someone who just makes your problem go away! Our door handle set was busted. Nick responded and came out the same day. He tried to fix and was unable, but instead of ordering a new set for $300+ he found a specific part for much less. Took a few days to order, but he kept us posted on progress, and came back to fix up the next week. Works great now, and he rekeyed the lock to match another door too.
