We tried - other than the usual such as Ancient Grains warm bowl, truffle mushroom sandwich & lattes- we ordered blueberry pancakes... A huge disappointment. The pancakes were not fluffy just mushy and chewy. We probably didn't even eat half the portion and there were four of us. The wedges were great. Very crispy and the sauce that comes with it was sweet and creamy. Not your usual ketchup !!! One thing that seemed disappointing was the portion of the Ancient grain warm chicken bowl. Since we love it so much, we ordered two of them, and unfortunately, it seemed as if they divided the one into two. The portion has reduced tremendously. read more

Dude, the truffle mushroom grilled cheese was out of this world. I can't stop thinking about it! I'm writing this review as I'm still eating it, that's how good it is! I've started eating the blueberry pancakes and those taste amazing as well. I loved the ambiance, decor and lighting in the restaurant. My only complaint was it was very cold in there but maybe that's a personal preference. The service was good! My drinks came quickly and the food came at a normal rate. The staff checked in on the table a fair amount but granted they were also dealing with counter service requests. All-in-all, loved it! Cute breakfast/brunch place located at the Bergen Town Center right outside where Whole Foods is. Small place but definitely worth checking out. Came here with my husband and 3 month old for brunch. If you don't need to bring a stroller, I suggest not bringing it cuz it'll be difficult to park it inside and dine in. Luckily our server seated us where she didn't seat anyone next to us so we can park the stroller in the middle. Our server was great. She made small talk with us and was super friendly in engaging conversation, but not where she was invading our personal time. She took our orders and went on her way. I ordered the BL burrito and my husband got the spiced chicken wrap. Both of us split our meals to try and I have to say, the burrito wrap was EXTREMELY filling. Normally, I would order a chicken wrap but thought I'd try something that was their "Aussie favorite". The breakfast wrap had bacon, potatoes, egg, and avocado in it. And the eggs were SO fluffy it just melted in your mouth! It comes with a side of potatoe wedges, which I probably would've done without, but I was starving and ate most of it anyway. The spiced chicken had kale, avocado, & spiced chicken that provided a very small spicy kick which really complimented this sauce that was in the wrap. I had to try their iced pumpkin spice latte and my husband got this blueberry peanut butter smoothie and ordered a chocolate brownie (his eyes were definitely hungrier than his stomach). Overall, I thought the food was great and their coffee was delicious. Nice and strong without the over powering pumpkin syrup like at Starbucks. If you're in the area check them out! My girlfriend and I ate a late lunch at Bluestone Lane around 2PM. The place looks very trendy and the decor really lives up to the "Blue" in the name. For drinks I got a Laird Superfood Mocha and my girlfriend got a matcha latte. Both drinks were just...ok. They weren't terrible but I was underwhelmed, especially for the price. Now I really enjoyed the food we ordered. I got the Truffle Mushroom Grilled Cheese and my girlfriend ordered the Prosciutto Burrata sandwich. Both were fantastic. They tasted fresh and didn't leave me feeling gross afterwards (even though I ended up eating most of the food). My girlfriend and I both love truffle and we both love burrata so naturally we split our sandwiches in half and shared. We also ordered a cup of tomato soup to go with the grilled cheese. I particularly enjoyed the spicy jam in the prosciutto sandwich. The truffle aioli in the grilled cheese added an earthy, umami flavor to the sandwich that I really appreciated. Now the thing is both sandwiches were around $17. They weren't that big and they were served with a side of potato chips. The cup of tomato soup was an additional $5. But I really did enjoy the food. Despite the prices being on the higher side, I'd come back and give them another shot. I'd definitely try different drinks, though. Perhaps I'll stick to my go-to order of a black coffee. read more

I love sitting in the indoor dining room Service was fast, friendly and accurate and my baby even got a sticker that he proudly showed off for the rest of the day. Bluestone uses high quality ingredients and it shows. Blueberry pancakes were yummy, fluffy and topped with a great compote with fresh blueberries. I always get the BLATE and it never disappoints. They have an all day breakfast and lunch menu with plenty of healthy options like pancakes, sandwiches, burritos, salads, bowls, soups, etc. Definitely on the higher end when it comes to café prices. Most food items are $17+. I've tried the following: *Iced Mocha $6 - Ugh I'm sooo picky when it comes to mocha lattes and this one just didn't hit home for me. It just tasted like chocolate milk. Weak espresso. *Iced Vanilla Latte $6 - The espresso wasn't strong enough for me... this was more on the milky side. *Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant $11.50 - Maybe one of the best croissant breakfast sandwiches I've had! And thank goodness it was... because ~$12 for a croissant is a bit wild. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, bacon was crisp and chewy, and the chipotle mayo was the perfect sauce to top it off. The croissant was buttery, rich, flaky, airy, and all the good things. I have to say that the service is excellent! Very friendly employees with smiles on their faces. If you dine in, they clear your plates, refill your water, and check in attentively. I'm disappointed in the coffee here, especially since they advertise themselves as a company that has premium beans. Coffee- was fine. $17 for a spiced chicken wrap (which my husband said was bland) with lays potato chips is insane. $19 for bland avocado toast with smoked salmon - again- no. Try adding salt, pepper, or lemon to the avocado - everything seasoning would definitely take it up a notch. Paid $50 for bland food and to be ignored once it dropped. I do not recommend. Space was sort of cute but we were seated near the kitchen and restrooms when the dining area was not full so we could not really enjoy the space. Fairly new branch that opened around May/June 2024 and so far we had a very good experience. Came in with my husband for some "coffee time" and ended up with some pastries as well. My goodness was the chocolate chip sea salt delicious! lol not only did it have a good balance of sweetness, it was also soft and huge!! Staff that day nice enough to recommend their homemade vanilla latte which I gladly tried. Indoors was clean and I love that there was an outdoor option too during nicer weathers. I have yet to try the meals in this particular location but would love to one day soon. I just appreciate that we have another option for some good brunch and coffee in this area and look forward to exploring more from the menu. read more

Anyone that's been to a Bluestone Lane knows that they all vary in quality. This particular one actually surprised me given that it's in Jersey. It's perfect for the early mall going crowd for a full breakfast or just a pastry and coffee. It's clean, bright and inviting. About the coffee....Bluestone lane has always been good at making coffee and the baristas here have impressed me. This last time I went I had a Piccolo which is small one shot of espresso with steamed milk. It was made perfect and was just the boost I needed to start the day. Now to food... there's a lot to choose on the menu from avocado toast to breakfast platters. I like that they have so much to choose from on their menus. I had the breakfast bowl which had quinoa, sautéed kale, tomatoes, feta and avocado topped with an egg. I topped it with egg whites and pulled chicken for extra protein. It was very flavorful and the perfect blend of foods to get my day started. The service was very good, the waiter was attentive and kind. Everything is pretty average, but something about their dismissive staff leaves more distaste for this place. On our last visit we ordered two matcha clouds and were not asked for a milk preference, unfortunately the drinks came out before I realized. The man behind the counter had his back to customers and we could never ask for a correction or a refund. I was feeling like a salad so I gave their warm chicken and ancient grain bowl a try. They also give a free timtam with a cold beverage so I checked out their cold brew as well. The server was friendly and helpful with selecting my salad of the day. He also let me know that their coffee is something to rave about. I will say it is not your ordinary salad by any means, there are Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, carrots, etc. You can see why you're eating and that was my favorite thing about the meal aside from how tasty it was. Definitely got all my greens for the day. The cold brew was cool, nothing that tickled my fantasy but I digress. The ambiance was sailor-esque which isn't for me but I loved the outdoor seating.
