Great brunch spot! If you plan to go on a Saturday during peak brunch times, DEFINITELY make a reservation online (they don't take reservations for Sundays). This place is popping, and for good reason. The servers are quite attentive and always present so it's not hard to flag someone down if you need something. I noticed they were also quick to clear trash (like straw wrappers) from the tables frequently. The food is also really good - i recommend the k-chicken & waffles and the lemon ricotta pancakes w blueberry compote. They also have lots of fun drinks (both coffee/tea-based and fruity refreshers). Parking might be a bit difficult but if you're lucky you might find an open spot on the street right outside. Otherwise, there's a lot nearby as well. read more

I visited Honey Day cafe on a late Saturday morning. I made a reservation online the night before but we showed up early and we were seated after a short wait. We had several servers handling our order. To start, I had a hot tea with honey. The honey was an interesting consistency and was not as thick as expected. Seemed to be a little watery but the taste was good when mixed in my tea. For appetizer, we split the Crispy Ddukbokki which were sweet & spicy crispy rice cakes with a side of a soft boiled egg, topped with everything seasoning. We both really enjoyed the flavor of these rice cakes. For my main course, I had the Rainbow Salad with grilled chicken. The portion was very good and all of the veggies in the salad were super fresh. The presentation was very pretty. Parking can be a bit tricky but luckily we were able to find parking on one of the side streets. Overall a cute little breakfast/brunch place in the Glen Rock downtown. If you are ever in this little cute town and wonder where to have breakfast, brunch or lunch, check out this place in Glen Rock, NJ! As a visitor, I look forward to eat when whenever I visit relatives. The food here is consistently delicious, and their coffee and drinks are yummy too. Today, I had their breakfast of over hard eggs, bacon, sourdough buttered toast, and a side salad. Although it is your basic breakfast, there is something to look forward to when you are here. Perhaps it's the side salad with its unique house dressing, the accommodating crème brûlée iced coffee, or the vibe of the place, it just makes the eating experience special. I also tried their steak too, and it was very flavorful. The best was the sausage my grandson had on his plate. After finishing it, his mom ordered a side of sausage. With the price of $5, it came with 2 patties. The sausage put my bacon to shame. So much flavor in each bite, and the more you eat, the more you want! It was THAT good! I don't know if they make their own sausage patties in-house or not, but you can go wrong with this item. The only bad thing I have to say is the waiting for your drinks and food. However, once you get your order, savor the time you have between you and your food. Take it easy, slow down, and enjoy the every bites until your plate is clean, and your stomach is full. I have visited Honey Day Kitchen various times and it has ALWAYS been pleasant meals. Reservations are not accepted during weekends, but the staff did a great job at sitting us within ten minutes. We started with a Rose Latte and Cafe Latte. Both beverages were phenomenal, at the perfect temperature, and in large mugs. The entrees were fantastic: Crispy Ddukbokki (sweet and spicy crispy rice cakes, jammy egg, everything seasoning) and the Egg Breakfast (2 eggs, Turkey Bacon, Toast, Tater-Tots). The Ddukbokki was firm, pleasantly spicy, and that sauce was exquisite. The Egg Breakfast was deliciously seasoned and filling. One thing that I appreciate about Honey Day is, that it takes a fair amount of time for the food to be presented. I don't mind that, at all. Once the food arrives, you could tell that it was all made fresh and with appealing presentations. And, as a Korean-American, I love that some of their dishes are Korean inspired or a fusion of Korean flavors, so you can find dishes that are not your typical brunch flavors. My friend and I went on a Saturday around lunch time/early afternoon, so we had to wait a few minutes, but it wasn't that long of a wait because it was only 2 of us. The food always looks like it's made with fresh ingredients and healthy, too. My friend and I tried the following dishes and drinks and they were all good. -Warm Salad Stack ($16) - I was surprised at how good and flavorful this was. It definitely had a lot of healthy ingredients but didn't feel like we were eating healthy food. We destroyed this super quickly. -Italian Focaccia ($18) - Very yummy and filling sandwich. Could barely finish it because it was a fat sandwich. -Chicken Caprese ($20) - My friend and I really liked this one. Again, the ingredients are very simple but so full of flavor. -Earl Grey Iced Matcha ($8) - This was my friend's drink and she said it was really good. -Salted Maple Shaken Espresso ($8) - This is a seasonal drink and it was a strong drink, but it was delicious especially with the salted maple cold foam. This one you could only get it iced. Hopefully this comes back over and over again on the menu. I read the other reviews and people mentioned about the prices being a bit steep, but I could see the value in what they charge because everything was fresh and the service and attention was great, too. So, if you are looking for a brunch spot in this area, you definitely need to check this place out. Not only will your food be pretty for pictures and videos, the food will be delicious (and healthy depending on what you order). Things to know before you go: -Parking is street or metered, so plan ahead with time to find parking and have someone go in and put their name down. -With the different milks, I wasn't charged for making mine oat milk, but definitely double check. -If you go, you definitely need to try one of their drinks, which again are so Instagramable and delicious. One of my favorite brunch spots! First time I attended was for a Yelp Elite event - since then, I've been dreaming of returning back! I stopped in the other morning with my mom and had a lovely experience. We arrived at opening, so there was no line and we were seated immediately. The seating is majority couches and they are very comfortable. Menus are already stacked at the tables so you don't have to wait to explore the menu. From Friday through the weekend, this appeared to be the best approach. For a Friday morning, the restaurant was busy and people were waiting to be seated. The restaurant honored our reservation immediately. For a starter, I tried the waffle croissant with berry syrup, fresh berries, and whipped cream. This was the perfect breakfast hybrid to share. Honey Day is a cute spot for drinks and food. I went with my family and we sampled a lot of their offerings. Everything was good but I felt like their prices are a little steep. Now I don't mind paying when the food item sets itself apart but nothing about the food wowed me to justify the increased price for myself. The drinks were very good though. For myself I got a Red Eye and the K-Chicken & Waffles. The Red Eye was nice, hot, and strong--just how I like it. The chicken was also good but pricey. An order was $22 and at that price I don't think I'd order it again. There was nothing wrong with it, the chicken was pretty moist and flavorful; it even had a little heat. The waffle had a nice texture to it, but like I said it didn't really amaze me. Luckily my party also ordered some appetizers to share so I was pretty full from the meal. If I only got the chicken and waffles I'd say the portion is on the smaller side. We got kimchi fries, tteokbokki, and the warm salad stack to share. Again, everything was good but pricey. I feel like the kimchi fries could've used more kimchi but they were still solid. The salad stack was nice but I wish it came with more pitas. And the tteokbokki was decent but the serving size was a bit small for the price you pay. All the drinks were solid and I'd love to come back for drinks. The food I'm a little iffy on. Met up with a girlfriend here on a Wednesday late morning for brunch! Wasn't busy at all and was seated right away. They were accommodating with patrons with children, so no need to worry about not having high chairs available or space for your stroller. First impression was the space was aesthetically pleasing. The place is big that it draws you in to the back of the restaurant and the colors of the furniture was neutral without having it look too dark or too light. We were seated at the front window where they offered some half rounded couch-like seating which is a really cute idea. I will, however, agree with another reviewer that said the tables were too small if you're ordering a lot. The round tables had these large S&P shakers, along with getting a jug of water and two glasses. With food being served, it was just the right amount of table. If we had gotten more dishes, we would've had to put some stuff on the couch for space, so keep that in mind if you're someone who likes to order a few things on the menu to share. Now onto the food- pretty good! I ordered a honey lavender latte which was great for a chilly fall morning. I was hoping there would be a little more hint of lavender flavoring, but I loved the presentation and the taste wasn't bad at all. My girlfriend ordered the black sesame matcha latte and she said you can really taste the sesame in the drink which was a nice unique touch. We got chicken and waffles, the k street toast, and to share, the crispy ddubokki. My meal was the k street toast which was ok. It comes with a veggie omelette, shredded cabbage, and ketchup..the toast was overly toasted so the crust was a little burnt, which isn't my personal preference. There wasn't any unique taste to the sandwich but really just for aesthetics. The breakfast tots, however, was amazing. Nice and crispy to perfection and came in a little basket which was a cute touch. I tried a little bit of my girlfriend's chicken from her C&W dish and the chicken was delicious. Juicy and tender and had the right amount of sauce! The crispy ddubokki was also great! It was pretty sticky when you chew it so make sure you have some floss with you for after! The flavoring and the sauce it was tossed in was perfect! Just a hint of spice and the crunch to the rice roll gave it a unique spin on the dish. Would I come back? Maybe if I was in the area. I saw this cafe after seeing someone else post about it on IG and immediately knew I had to make the drive over. Coincidentally I had a collab with a spa near by and decided to grab breakfast afterwards. I was so excited after seeing k-street toast on the menu because that's basically what I ate everyday during my trip to Korea last year. The Cafe is very nicely decorated, the staff and attentive and welcoming. I got the iced black Sesame matcha with oat milk lightly sweetened, and it was perfection. Not too sweet, great flavor. I am a frequent visitor and rarely do I get greeted at the door. The hostess is almost never visible and without a greeting you are wondering if anyone notices you. There are 2 very amazing servers who have been there early on when this place opened and always provides excellent service. Whenever they are not working it feels as though the place is not running as well or as smooth. Today especially there was only 1 server for 8 tables and the server is clearly frazzled and also bussing tables. It's a neighborhood brunch place but also worthy of being considered as a destination brunch place. I know sometimes it's a back up when I can't get a table at that popular brunch place in Wyckoff but Honey Day can stand on its own. The food is delicious. I also love the fresh juice they offer and they are not watered down with ice. Ginger zinger is the best but sometimes the ginger gets lost or orange is too strong. But when it's balanced, it's amazing. My favorites are the lemon ricotta pancakes and the scrambled egg and pesto toast. I also like the K toast once a while and the chicken ciabatta sandwich was also great. I like their side salad, but sometimes they are not the freshest. Service is pretty good. The drinks are great and varied. My friend said they have the best hot chocolate but I'm more coffee person so I just take her word for it. They offer lots of different espresso based drinks and matcha as well. It's Korean owned so there are some dishes and drinks with Korean flair or Korean items on the menu. A very solid brunch place. One thing that's a little annoying is that the drinks come out with the food. I keep forgetting to ask for drinks to arrive earlier, but next time hopefully I won't. People seemed friendly The BAD: It took a long time to get coffee, a longer time to get food and when the food came out, it was cold..The eggs, the home fries, the toast and even the bacon were cold. When we looked at our phone it was 3:07. A little annoying to be asked to leave, just so they could leave a little earlier? wasn't sure....but don't love when businesses do that. Had a wonderful experience at honey day with a bunch of girlfriends for brunch. We called at around 10:45 and since we were on the way they put our names down on the list and we received an auto confirmation so we could follow along on the progress of our table. I was amazed that for a Sunday we were able to get a table that quickly and there wasn't a huge wait. However, that said once we were seated within 10 minutes, the place started to get packed. Even though it is pretty roomy inside with a nice comfy seating the line was out the door. Always a good sign! We had the most amazing waiter who was friendly and outgoing. Quite an extensive menu, which includes traditional breakfast and lunch options as well as some with a Korean spin. They also have some exciting looking fresh pressed juices and drinks and coffee items which we all took advantage of. We ordered the egg white wrap, K-Street toast, stracciatella toast and the ablt. K street toast sandwich was phenomenal and so filling and the stracciatella was another great one.
