Great care and prompt follow up. The biggest problem is getting in touch with the office by phone. Hopefully it was a glitch when the office changes names. Fingers crossed read more

Dr. Blumenfeld is the BEST! He gave my partner her life back after suffering decades with debilitating migraines. I am a patient as well and so is my mom. I recommend Dr. B to everyone who is experiencing overwhelming headaches or migraines. He has his finger on the pulse of everything cutting edge. Absolutely adore him and so grateful he's my doctor! He truly cares about his patients, that is so rare these days. read more

Dr. B is the best there is. I wouldn't be here without him. I went to the wrong doctors for years and didn't receive any relief until I found Dr. Blumenfeld. I've been seeing him since 2014 and he is not just a migraine professional, well respected by his peers, he was also the only Dr. to identify that I was experiencing Parkinson's symptoms before anyone else. He suspected it was PD and was correct. His observations allowed me to seek treatment quickly as I had been undiagnosed otherwise. I don't know where I'd be without him. He goes above and beyond! He genuinely cares! Grateful and so thankful. read more

Dr. Blumenfeld is amazing. I was referred to him for headaches, but he also diagnosed MS through blood work and a spinal tap (it didn't hurt). He referred me to a specialist for the MS and I continue to see him for headache treatment. Dr. Blumenfeld is a world renowned expert on migraines and travels to teach other physicians. He is professional and very gentle. Many may find his demeanor cold, but I've come to know him and realize that he is just incredibly intelligent and paying attention to my body and what's going on. He asks the right questions and his staff is amazing. He's got a good sense of humor and I trust him more than any other physician I have been to. read more

Complete trash. Doesn't care about his clients well being. Terrible bed side manner. Spouse has been seeing him for 4 months. Only seen him 2 times in 4 months. Then when we mention we want to seek other care do to his inability to help or care for his clients. He gets spiteful? Very unprofessional. This guy needs to retire ASAP. He's long past his prime and needs to go. Maybe that's why he doesn't have any email for his clients. He knows people will be bugging him because he sucks! He's also like 100 years old and uses his picture from 1980. Dont trust this guy. read more

I am a new patient of Dr. Blumenfeld. Dr. Blumenfeld's personality is a little hard to describe maybe a little shy at first but he does warm up. He did help me with my migraines. read more

Dr. Blumenfeld and Sam are amazing. I am a healthcare worker and know I am in THE best care possible. I had migraines 16 times a month and now it's down to 2 or so since working with Dr. Blumenfeld. He is an expert and I am grateful that I have finally found a doctor to help with my migraines after 3 years of suffering. I'd give 100000 stars if I could. Thank you again Dr. Blumenfeld! read more

I am a new patient of Dr. Blumenfeld as of February of 2023. I have been struggling with migraines since the age of 14 years old. I have been through many physicians little to no success in managing my disorder. Dr. Blumenfeld is a phenomenal physician. He takes his time with me in each appointment, addresses all of my questions/concerns and has very respectful bedside manner. I feel I am in safe and most capable hands under Dr. Blumenfeld's care especially considering he is a nationally and internationally renowned neurologist in the field of headache medicine. Thank you Dr. Blumenfeld! read more

My Wife suffers medically intractable Migraine headaches that require careful observation and strictly scheduled and regimented Botox injections to ameliorate her Migraines. This guy's office acts like it's no big deal to reschedule on her at a moments notice knowing full well that this can mean significant pain and distress for the patient. If a Botox treatment is missed, the patient can experience horrific pain made exponentially worse by hyperalgesia. My Wife has seen Dr. Blumenfeld ONCE and the rest of the time it's been nothing but PAs. SCREW YOU DR. BLUMENFELD!! The name of the game here is patient volume to make as much money as possible, these people don't care about their patients. Avoid and find someone else! read more

i have been a patient of Dr. Blumenfeld's for a little less than a year and I can't recommend him enough! prior I was living with constant migraines and headaches and now I can't remember the last time I had a headache! He always listens to all of my concerns, and has created a treatment plan special to me. read more

"I have suffered from migraines my whole life- missed work, and classes, and spent hours in a dark room covered in ice packs unable to function. Dr. Blumenfeld and his office gave me the opportunity and the treatment options to live a more full life. The thing that stands out most to me about Dr. Blumenfeld is his capacity to listen, so many doctors want to medicate the symptoms away, but he treats me holistically. His calming office environment and sense of humor are welcoming traits in the scope of pain management. I am so grateful to be in his care, and thankful to have migraine-free days." read more

Dr. Blumenfeld is a world-renowned neurologist who specializes in treating people with migraines. He is heavily involved with continuing education, and he is the neurologist that other neurologists learn from regarding migraines. He has extensively published on migraine disorders and treatment of migraines in the scientific literature. I have been seeing Dr. Blumenfeld since early 2011 for chronic migraines. I have been suffering with chronic migraine since my teens with very little relief up until being treated by Dr. Blumenfeld. I have found him to be a very thorough and caring physician. He is incredibly knowledgeable about migraines and is up to date on their treatment. I have continued treatment with Dr. Blumenfeld for the last 13 years as I know that he has the patient's best interest at the forefront. I would highly recommend Dr. Blumenfeld to anyone who suffers from migraines. He has two offices, one in Los Angeles and one in San Diego. I see him at the San Diego office. I have found his office staff very helpful, and they actually answer the phone when you call them. They have been wonderful in working with Dr. Blumenfeld, the insurance companies, and me to get preauthorization for medications. read more

I'm really pleased with my time with Dr. Blumenfeld. He went ahead with the Botox procedure and to my surprise he was very gentle and it did not hurt (like I had expected it to). He was very calm and had excellent bed side manner. I'm looking forward to seeing him! read more

I agree with the review by Casey from San Diego. Andrew Blumenfeld was rude, arrogant, and had a callous disregard for me as a patient. He was so abusive that I walked out of his office in tears. I would never recommend him, and was so sorry I went there for help. When I went to the doctor who referred me to Dr. Blumenfeld and told him what happened, the referring doctor said he would no longer refer his patients to Dr. Blumenfeld. read more

I have been seeing Dr Blumenfeld for several years now for my chronic migraines. He is very thorough and provides alternative options, explaining details of best course. I followed him from his Genesee location to his new location on Mesa College Dr. I won't see anyone else, he has helped me to find the best proactive treatment. read more

Dr Blumenfeld was thorough and professional. He spent a whole hour with me asking pertinent questions while taking notes. He made a diagnosis and started a plan immediately for my recovery. Did the appropriate physical testing and sent me to the lab for blood work. I found him to be confident but not arrogant and straightforward but kind. read more

If you are a masochist who wants to make your pain and anxiety worse, this guy will do just that. Otherwise, stay far away. As a biologist and researcher I talked to other medical practitioners who were friends and felt free enough to give their opinions on him: This guy has a reputation for being an arrogant SOB who cares much about his salary and little about his patients, and it is well deserved. I have seen over 15 neurologists until I was finally diagnosed correctly - by a different specialist. I have seen many, many doctors in my search for a correct diagnosis over the years, I have many experiences good and bad to tell, but this guy by far was the most offensive, uncaring, arrogant, dangerous MD I have ever met. Prior to finally being correctly diagnosed, I went to him because a I was told he was "the best" despite infamous for a poor 'bedside manner'. What an understatement. He is the epitome of the arrogant doctor, but worse; not only does he not listen, he does not care what you have to say, and if your answers to his questions (like, when did your headaches start) don't match his simplistic paradigm for treatment, he tells you your answers are wrong. If you are difficult to diagnose, he will shove you into a standard treatment pigeonhole, no matter how inappropriate, because his ego is too tenuous to handle having to say things like "hmm, I don't know" and "I am not sure but let's explore that together". He is condescending, narcissistic, did I mention arrogant? He told me if I continue taking my one rescue remedy (prescribed by several another MDs, NOT an opiate or narcotic) I would for sure die of stroke in 2 years. It has been more than 2 years, and sorry Doc, I am not dead yet, I am actually better no thanks to you. He created tremendous anxiety and anguish in me - symptoms that are typically not common for me - while prescribing meds with awful side effects that don't work. When I told him this he ignored me as if I were an idiot. For me he represents the worst Western Medicine has to offer: someone in the business for the money, ego stroking, reputation, and instead of helping he hurts patients because they are vulnerable, in pain, not an easy fix with a bucket of meds, and some of whom are also financially strapped to boot. When I mentioned alternative, holistic treatments (like acupuncture or reiki), he scoffed and recommended I see a psychiatrist. Meantime his staff were rude, unprofessional, and not efficient at all. Then again, if I worked for him, I'd probably be in a bad mood all day too. read more

Absolutely thee best!!! I recently had Botox with Dr. Blumenfeld and the results are amazing!!! I love love love the results. No pain didn't feel the injections one bit. I have had sooo many compliments. I feel so good about myself. He knows exactly what he is doing and explains everything. Super nice and great bedside manners. Saw Dr Blumenfeld today. I agree with other yelpers that the wait time does stink. They asked me to show up at 10:30 for my 11 o'clock appt. Check in took 5 minutes then I sat there until 11:30 when they finally called me. Other than that I can't really complain. Is his "bed side manner" a little off, maybe. Did he cut me off a couple times, I guess so but I realized he doesn't need me to ramble on with unnecessary information. His job is to diagnose and consult. I did not find him arrogant at all. He listened when he had to, he asked a lot of questions and took notes. When he was done then it was time to talk. He explained what is wrong and what I need to take and what will happen if I do not try it. He also gave me alternative healing ideas (yoga, stress help classes). Most of all at the end he listened to my main concerns, explained "young man, you will be around a long time" but you need to work on this to live the way you want. I left feeling great, happy and have a plan. He also smiled at the end when talking to me which shows he does care. Thank you Dr Blumenfeld. The four stars instead of 5 is due to the wait, not your care. read more
