Blush Beauty was one of very few places that was open on a Monday and I was able to make an appointment through their Facebook page on Facebook Messenger! Michaela was awesome and knew exactly how to cut the style that I wanted. She cut off 5 inches of my hair and gave me beautiful layers. After washing my hair, she blew it out. They sell Paul Mitchell, Amika, R & Co, plus other products and usually have a deal (more you buy, more you save type of deal). This was an OK experience, but not outstanding. Facilities were not very clean... the floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a while and overall cleanliness was lacking. Dori appeared to be inexperienced, and while the haircut was mediocre, it wasn't anything special. The shampoo experience was sorely lacking and it was so quick that I wasn't even sure she rinsed out all the conditioner. That is a valuable opportunity to make your customer feel pampered, even for just a haircut, and she passed up that opportunity. Overall, meh experience. I would never deter anyone from going there, but might suggest another stylist. read more

I love the staff, the products are new and perfect (look expensive) and the shop is beautifully clean. You're probably wondering why I give it one star then right? Well those things to me don't matter. It was the haircut. Everything was uneven and way to short. I got highlights done and those ended up being uneven and splotchy as well. First off, let me start by saying this place has great service, products, and was extremely clean. My stylist was super friendly, and my visit was good. The reasoning behind my 2 stars is that I left with my hair subpar. I went about a month ago. I did a lot of research into where I wanted to get my hair done as it had been years since it had been done professionally. I finally booked an appointment here after seeing rave reviews and photos of their work. They've done amazing things! I was super excited, and like I said, my experience was great. HOWEVER. I went from bleach blonde hair, asking them to dye it light ash brown blended with a mildly darker root. It was a huge change for me, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was a common color. Which I wanted. I was very adamant about my hair not being grey or silver, as I wanted to look professional and something low maintenance. I was extremely tedious about saying I wanted brown and not grey, just cooler tones (as I know ashy can sometimes be grey) she seemed to understand and went to work on my roots. The root color was beautiful, I loved it, but it didn't blend into the rest of the color. My biggest thing is that the rest of my hair not only came out extremely grey, but turned purple later that day! I really wanted light brown hair and a blended root, and ended up with grey and purple hair that I really didn't want. I think the reasoning for the color is that I noticed she didn't use dye on the majority of my hair, (only the roots) but just toner, and really overtoned it. I left the salon happy because I hadn't seen the full extent of what had been done. It looked great when I was there! So that's where I'm confused. I was super disappointed when I got home and got a decent look in the mirror and saw exactly what I hadn't asked for. I totally understand if a salon messes up your hair, it happens and it can't always be perfect. We are all only human, and I get it, not all days will be good. And I also know you're supposed to let them know and ask them to fix it. But I honestly didn't want them to touch it further, because I was just so unhappy and honestly wouldn't trust my hair with them again. I'm just very disappointed that I got exactly what I didn't ask for, and I was very adamant about what I did and didn't want, and brought pictures and everything. I understand the chance to remedy the situation has passed, but after finally getting what I originally wanted today, I finally felt the need to speak up. read more

I recently moved back to the area after living in California for years. My hair is baby fine and I find it difficult to find a competent stylist that understands my hair. I booked an appointment for a haircut only and went in after work. Sam was my stylist and she's awesome. Very sweet young lady with a great attitude. She listened to what I wanted and was very informative so I didn't end up with a style I would be unhappy with. She also did not rush me thru my appointment. Sam took the time to discuss what I do and don't like. I walked in a bit apprehensive, and walked out very happy and confident I've found a permanent salon and stylist. The interior is stylish and very well maintained and immediately upon entering I was offered a beverage. Their customer service is excellent. Note: I did go online and put in my info for an apt to be texted but never got a text so I recommend calling and making an apt over the phone. I was even able to get a same day haircut apt. read more

I recently went to Blush for the first time. I am very hesitant to let anyone cut my hair because of a few bad hair cuts in the past. From the moment I walked in the door I was at ease. The offered me a glass of wine, which was a nice perk. Liz was my stylist and she new exactly what cut and color would look best on me. It turned out amazing!! At first I thought I was really going to like it here. Everyone was pretty friendly and the building itself was very inviting. Seemed like a trendy little salon that knew what they were doing. I liked my cut and color, actually loved the color especially after it faced a bit after a couple washes. But after styling it a couple times myself I realized it wasn't quite what I wanted and I actually wanted another inch or so off and a couple more layers. So I called and asked if there was anyway I could come in and have someone fix it. I didn't clarify and ask if I would be charged again because I just figured it is common courtesy when it comes to salons and stylists that if the client is 100% happy to have them come back in to have it fixed. Having worked at a spa in the past that is always how we treated our clients, never wanting someone to leave unhappy. So anyway they fit me in for the next morning which was awesome and when I get there I said that she didn't even have to style it after just do a quick cut and Id be on my way. She ended up shampooing, cutting, and doing a whole blow dry and flat iron style. Probably my fault for not stopping her but figured that'd be slightly awkward and just figured she was doing it to make sure the cut was correct. I pick out a product to buy (partially because I wanted it and partially because I wanted her to get credit for it for fixing my cut) and they charged me for a whole new hair cut and style plus the product! Mind you I spend about 100 the first time I was in and tipped a very fair 20%. Was totally not expecting to be charged another 50 for a simple fix. I'm not one to argue and throw a fit and maybe I should have but I did ask for clarification that I had just been in a couple days ago and had just came in that day for a quick fix. Their reasoning was what I had wanted at my first app was different than today because I showed her a different picture so they had to re charge me. Umm okay? Back to the premise of making sure your client is happy with their service and inviting them back hassle free if it's not quite what they wanted. Luckily I live out of state and have a stylist but I won't be going back next time I'm in town. Very disappointed. A couple friends of mine have also had an experience such as this so maybe it's not rare at this salon! read more

I told the stylist I want the top layer shorter, the other layers blended in and not to touch the length. I also said my hair is very thick, will this be a problem, and she stated it wouldn't. She started the cut by gathering my hair around my head from between my ears and my temples she then combed it all straight up and started hacking through it! She kept cutting and cutting, then when I pointed out it looked like someone had given the top head of my hair a bowl cut, she said she would notch it to take some of the weight out. I left with a choppy bowl cut on top and fringe underneath. I was so upset, I called and was given another appointment to fix the "issues" her fix was to cut 3 - 3 1/2 inches off the bottom and then use thinning scissors to "blend" it in! It was even worse. I left and cried all the way home. I made an appointment at Ulta to get it fixed, 3 stylists looked at my hair and couldn't believe I got it cut by an actual stylist! One of them finally came up with a plan to fix it that I could live with. It looks much better now, but it cost 60$ to fix the first 40$ cut! So 100$ into it I look better but still not what I want.:( the owner called to offer a free wash or dry..wth? I will never go there again for even a wash! read more
