Update March 9, 2021 respond to Renee's lies: Look at the photo of my real lashes on March 9, 2021. Renee is a liar. I'm not on Chemo and my lashes don't fall. My lashes are long and beautiful. I just wanted thicker and darker lashes for Valentine's Day. Renee had my phone number. She left me a voicemail. Renee texted me, on March 6, 2021, stating she would meet me at her shop and she would give me my cash back. I can barely move. So I had my daughter with me. Can you believe that even though she's the aggressor and she's the one that cussed me out and told me to "leave her the F*ck alone", she had a Police Officer there standing by? The officer looked really upset. They have better things to do than to baby sit people. When she texted me she said she wanted me to sign a receipt for the cash she was refunding me. Well guess what she did? She wrote on a blank piece of paper that she was refunding me the money. Then she wrote that I agree not to post negative comments about her. I will never agree to that, so I scratched lines through that paragraph before I signed her hand written receipt. I will never lie about a person. And not telling the world that she's a horrible lash person would make me a liar. I'm not deleting my reviews because what I wrote about her is the truth. Renee created huge problems between two families that was completely unnecessary. I told her about my life and she shared what I told her with someone else who doesn't know me. She just "heard of me". Hopefully, Renee learned her lesson not to gossip and betray the trust of her clients. Hopefully, she gets better training on lash extensions and invests on better products. You should see my natural lashes. They're so long and beautiful. They're just too light in color to see them. I didn't give her permission to post my picture on any social media or any advertisement but she still did. Renee, if you keep posting lies I'm going to sue you. I have a screenshot of the Instagram messages you sent me and it says nothing about you not having my phone number. What it does say is that you posted my picture on your Facebook business page and you told me that you weren't doing my lashes because you posted my picture on your Business page and Miranda or Mia Lopez told you that I was her baby daddy's girlfriend and because of this you refused to fix my lashes. Just stop lying! I've had my lashes done by Jessica at another shop and they lasted 8 weeks before I needed a touch up. Renee, stop disclosing my medical information. I went to Renee for microdermabrasion based on the great reviews on Yelp and google. Not only did she have high reviews, but she had very good availability. I was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day (there was even some same-day appointments but that didn't work for me). Other places I looked at didn't have anything for weeks, even months. Anyways, I'm glad I went to Renee. I noticed immediately that her spa/boutique is very clean and welcoming. I was brought back early for my appointment (I arrived 20 mins early to fill out paperwork) and it was nice not having to sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for my service. Renee did a great job with the microdermabrasion, she answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable even though I came in feeling a little self-conscious. My face was so soft and clean when I was finished. I felt great! I also asked Renee about products because sometimes I feel overwhelmed and don't know what to use. She made recommendations and even said she would not push the product on me--she told me other places I could buy her products as well. However, her prices were the same, if not better, than big stores such as Ulta, because she was having a sale. I bought a few things because I wanted to and not because I felt pressured. Overall, my bill was way under what I expected it to be for both the microdermabrasion and the skincare products! I paid with Venmo (even though she had other payments options) which I appreciate because I don't think many people carry cash these days, or at least not enough to pay for much. I will definitely be returning to Renee for my next service and will recommend her to others. read more

I can not say enough about the fabulous work that Renee has done to my skin. She has done the microcurrent in a treatment series & my skin has never looked better. This has minimized the fine lines, accelerating natural cell processes of the skin & stimulating collagen and elastin. My skin has not looked this good in years. Renee has also done Hyper Pigmentation-Ant-Aging treatments as well. This is helping take away the sun damage that I have done to my skin & is brightening the pigment of my skin. I have now had Renee apply the eyelash extensions & can I just say "I love my lashes". My hubby is calling me Bambi & loves them. Hi everyone, I hardly give reviews let alone bad ones but I had to for Renee Shook (I had to pick one star). I'm not talking about the whole establishment because I only had experience with this particular person. I heard everyone else is very professional and great at their skills. I had a makeup appointment few days ago with her. I booked her for 3 days events. On the very first day I had a dreadful experience with her so I had to cancel my other two appointments with her at the spot. She showed me some pics on her phone n I picked the one I liked n told her that's how I want it. She kept saying - look I did this one n she look very natural, natural makeup is good... but later I found out that by natural she meant she has no skills of any kind of makeup at all. I mean what kind of makeup artist don't know how to do eyeliner. She put bunch of tapes around my eyes like an immature and still didn't get it right. She put powdered eyeshadow on me even though I asked for creamy one (later found out she never used it). Eye makeup was a total disaster. So I told her I need to wipe it off. She asked (in pissed off tone- I might add) so what u want now. I told her just do rest of my makeup n I will do my eye makeup at home. She said ok n start doing airbrush makeup on me. She didn't put my hair back or put any napkin around my clothes n started spraying everywhere. I looked at myself in mirror after 2 layers n it was a so yellowy with patches everywhere. I was looking at myself in a disbelief n she got so maddened at me cause I didn't like what she did to me n she said - ok, u do ur own makeup, just pay me n leave. I didn't say anything to her because I don't like to argue with angry-upset ppl... but she took my card n charged me $85 for doing her horrible job. I mean if it was me or anyone else with a lil bit of dignity, he/she should be at least polite. But she became rude n charged me anyway. My lashes are short and thin. I made an appointment to have a set of natural lashes applied. I was informed that the Venmo was not operating and cash would be required, which was fine. The appointment went well except that a full set was not able to be applied because of the state of my lashes. I was satisfied with what I received and the lashes stayed for 7 weeks. My only complaint was 1, receiving a text message that I had not paid when I indeed paid cash at the end of the appointment. When I requested a follow up appointment, I was told to use a lash extender before making another appointment. The problem was I would be required to pay the full amount again. There are two things that I demand in services that I purchase: quality and professionalism. Renee provides both in large doses and is an awesome lady to boot! I viisted Rene for an introductory facial (Mother's Day gift from my son) in June, and am now a regular client of hers. After assessing my skin condition, Renee recommended a series of Swich treatments to combat the aging and sun damage that my 59-year-old face presented. Mind you -- she did not "sell" me the Swich treatments. I asked her if there was hope for my skin and she gently suggested that Swich was the way to go. She was VERY careful to let me know that she wasn't in the business of selling, that she would provide options, and I could choose to have the services or not. She recommended what was best for me, and I have been amazed by the treatment and by her special, kind, and gentle treatment! Once my Swich treatments are over, I will go back to Renee regularly for facial maintenance. I look like a million bucks for a mere $75 how great is that! Renee is a true professional with prices far less expensive than bratty salons ($150-$300) and far more hygienic than someone in a nail salon (ever had glue get into your eye?). I've tried all around but she's the best. We are talking well over an hour of hard work with each individual lash applied to your shortest lash so it will hold on while it grows out and last longer. I don't even need mascara with the mink style lashes- I now roll out of bed like this! I love it, my guy loves it and I'm going to have to make it a habit just like getting my nails done. When people see you they look straight into your eyes and after staring at the work Renee did I can tell they are going to be doing a double take! I'm going to have to go in every 3 weeks and keep this up ($50) because it's too beautiful to let go of! I have redish blonde hair so my eye lashes are very light and you could tell which ones were real and which were fake. I ended up removing them within a couple days. Renee... This isn't who you keep referring to. I read your message you sent me a few weeks ago. I am not going to say the person's name so I wont embarrass them. But I see I am not the only one who feels this way. I did NOT say anything bad about the lash extensions so clearly it isn't the person who had the issue with the lashes... It IS about my EYEBROWS! I was not trying to be rude and my comment is 100% honest... IF I were trying to just give you a bad review I would have lied and said I didn't like my lash extensions. BUT I did like my lashes like I mentioned in my previous comment... however I was very unhappy with my eyebrows... I did not mention the fact you were double dipping in the wax... I did not mention those things but I will now since I am upset that I did say you did an amazing job on the lash extensions and yet you are thinking it's another lady... So I will say it again... LASH EXTENSIONS YOU DID GREAT... UNFORTUNATELY EYEBROWS IS NOT YOUR THING!... maybe this time you will understand that I have NO complaints about your lash extensions... my eyebrows have been ruined and still waiting for them to grow and disgusted about the double dipping of the wax.
