If you can help it, try to avoid coming here on a weekend. They get super busy even if you have an appointment. I had an appointment for 1:30pm for 2 pedicures but didn't get sat in the chair until 2:15pm. The manager was kind enough to get started on my leg massage but it lasted for another 45 minutes, at which point no nails or cuticles had been cut, filed, or trimmed. I'm a pretty patient person and probably wouldn't have minded so much if i wasn't in a rush. But by the time I walked out of there it was 3:45pm and I had to go to work at 4. We were given a 10% discount as compensation, but I wouldn't have minded paying full price if the service was even just a touch quicker. The work that was done by the nail tech was really good and she was able to do it quickly. It's still a little frustrating that there were 4 clients that came after me, who was able to get a nail tech to do their pedicure before mine. I'll come back in the future since I like this place amongst others, and we don't get pedicures all the time anyway. Instead, I'll go during a weekday instead of a weekend. read more

The first time I came to this shop I was very impressed with their service. This second time around, not so much. I came in with an inspo pic and the nail tech said she could take care of it. After many attempts it was clear she wasn't very skilled with designs so she asked her co worker to step in. Neither of them could achieve the design and instead of cleaning up my nails she threw a couple of top coats on and asked if I was happy? No! I was nowhere near happy but after being there 2 hours I was ready to go. My nails are messy, bumpy, and the shape of the nails are thick and not even. She didn't bother drilling them down so they don't look clunky, even after I asked her to. Oh, she also cut my cuticle on my left hand too low, I left with it bleeding. In the end she still charged me full price for these! read more

I made an appointment the day before with Duke. When I showed up it didn't seem like they knew I was coming. The place was bright, clean and looked inviting. Soft music played in the background. It was very quiet. I wanted the gel mani/pedi. I worked with Kevin and my hubby worked with Tammy. They offered a refreshing drink once we got settled. I got the standard treatment while hubby opted for the hot stones and additional foot and hand massage. Once finished, I paid using Venmo. Great nail salon in VV - hidden lil gem between Ace Hardware and Fosters Freeze. Booked online for pedicure at 11:30AM on a Sunday and they were already busy! Seven did my pedicure and it was amazing! Henry did my manicure. Both using gel nail polish which came out beautifully. Everyone was very nice and the salon was clean. I watched them clean and sanitize the foot bath after every client. Will definitely go back! read more

Came in for pedicures with my grandma & my 2.5yo daughter. It was my daughter's first time. Customer service was excellent, above expectations. Very accommodating to my daughter, made it so fun for her. Complimentary snacks, water & mimosa's were a pleasant surprise! My grandma has ingrown toenails, the tech did a great job handling it. Wonderful nail salon and customer service. It was my time visit last Sunday. They have only been open 5 months and owned,/operated by a brother and sister combo with a very professional staff. So clean, comfortable and inviting . I had to have some rinestones on my replaced on my finger nails and color redone on my toes a few days later. They were more than willing to accommodate me. Good: Tammy finished my nails and did a wonderful job! I am so pleased. Over a week later my nails still look wonderful! I brought my own polish because they thin theirs. This seems to be a common practice. So I recommend you take your own polish if your nails don't last the appropriate amount of time. Definitely recommend Tammy's work though. What could be better: Kevin began my mani/pedi experience, and I was disappointed with his entire service. Although I paid extra for a Deluxe Pedicure he took short cuts. Instead of following the usual sequence of applying and massaging the sugar scrub, rinsing it off, then applying, massaging, and rinsing the mud mask, and as a 3rd step applying lotion instead he put the scrub on and added the mask to it before massaging it in or rinsing it off scrub. In his language he requested a young woman get up and get this small brush out of a sidebar for him. The bristles were noticeably worn down, and gray. In hindsight I should have protested and not allowed him to use it because that brush was clearly well used, and not sanitized. He persisted in soaping up my feet with this brush and actually spent a lot of time scrubbing my feet and especially my toes with this soapy substance. I didn't want to make a scene so I let him finish. However I have noticed some kind of breakout on my toe area where he persistently scrubbed. I had showered before going (lol), so my feet were clean, and I've never had soap used in the past so I was bewildered by his persistent soaping and scrubbing. But I let it go. On to the manicure. He used that sawing tool to remove the cuticles. After filing my nails (unevenly) with the emery board he didn't brush off or wash off the excess particles before adding the base coat. So it was no surprise that after he polished with the base coat that the base coat had serious bubbles. I did point that out. Each nail had noticeable, 3D bubbles. That's where Tammy came in. She came over and saved the day - refiling and removing that base coat. Then she polished them in a most satisfactory manner. Unfortunately though I wouldn't let Kevin service me again, and I can't recommend him at this time. His service was rushed, and his methods were incompetent and unorthodox. The staff is selective in who they greet when customers walk in the door. When some customers walk in they go overboard by grinning, saying hello, asking if they can help them, etc. However when others walk in its crickets. Lol. Lastly, the spa has signage on their menu and online stating their "gel color extra $15." I took my own gel color and didn't understand why I was being charged $30 extra for their color when I had brought my own. However it was later explained the extra $30 was for the "extra" work to take off and add gel. I strongly suggest the spa reword their advertising to reflect a better description of why they charge $15 each for gel - for example the increased cost is for the service, and not the color (as advertised). I actually like the work of both Tammy and Kathy but they clearly have kinks to work out. Can't rate as high this time but I have hope for them as a new business. read more

I decided to try a new salon this weekend in my hometown. I am picky so I typically go out of town for my services. The staff at Gallery of Nails and Spa are so friendly and attentive to your needs. I got a pedicure and manicure. I love both of the results. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. I've been to a lot of salons where the manicurist doesn't listen to your requests, are rough with their manicures, impatient or are busy talking socially with one another that they ignore you. This is not that salon. They offered water and checked with you often. It was very relaxing and affordable. I am pleased that I won't have to go out of town anymore. Came in on Sunday My first time in Had Van for my pedicure and then she sent me to a male for my nails. She was very aggressive while giving my pedicure I feel like she was throwing my feet in to the water. Kathy is amazing! Very kind and did a great pedicure. Highly recommend her! The front desk lady was also very very sweet. They offer snacks and beverages. Finally found a nail place I can enjoy and leave satisfied. I also ended up getting a manicure because I was going on a trip and it felt right to treat myself. They even accommodated slightly after hours to get other clients manis and pedis done without feeling rushed at all. Place feels very clean and there are so many colors to choose. Only real big issue was the pricing, it isn't transparent. She told me 60 for acrylic nail and for some reason it's $65? Same for the toes $45+15 is $60, not $65. It's $10 more than I expected to pay and they want a tip? Unfortunate that I will still be going to AJs nails as they have reasonable pricing. Provide transparency before the booking, not after. read more

I took my 79-year-old disabled wife and her daughter to Gallery for pedicures--and stayed to observe. Our experience was above and beyond expectations. I wish you could have seen Duke, the owner-manager, gently handle my dear wife. Duke regularly roams the aisles making sure his technicians all provide top-quality care. Cleanliness is foremost, which includes technicians wearing masks. And then there were unexpected extras: snacks, video entertainment, and even a photograph of the ladies sitting side by side in their chairs. I wish I could give this business SIX stars! read more

Today was my first visit. The salon was immaculate. They were a bit short-handed, which happens and I understand: Although... I would have liked to have been told when I made the appointment so I could have rearranged commitments after my appointment. I still would have made an appointment. I did get a foot message while I waited, which was very nice. Kevin did my pedicure. He needs a bit more practice applying polish, so next time I go in I will try someone different. I would definitely recommend this salon. Prices are reasonable with pedicures starting at $35 for a basic pedicure to 75-85 for an all-out luxury spa treatment. Stop in, you won't be disappointed. read more

As the massage concluded, Roxanna said she "forgot" about my cupping services and said I would be offered a credit for my next visit. I asked to have someone call me about it, and never received a call from the manager. I decided to give Atma a second chance and booked a massage with cupping for this morning. Roxanna messaged me two hours before my appointment to say she could not do my massage, and offered me another masseuse at 2pm. I had taken the morning off from work, specifically for this appointment. I asked her to refund my money instead and have not heard a single word back. I highly recommend staying away from this day spa! They are unresponsive and unprofessional. Your money is better deserved elsewhere.

Truth be told, I should add "therapist" services to this list as Sandy is a truly warm and caring person and will listen to me go on ad nauseam about literally anything and everything for which I need to vent. She will not rush a client out the door when they need to talk, even if she has another client waiting. I was actually in the salon receiving a waxing when "Sindy" (previous one-star Yelp reviewer) came for her appointment. Due to the need for privacy, and also because of COVID, Sandy only has one client in the salon at a time. She keeps the front door locked as she doesn't want other people like delivery men walking into the salon when she is servicing another. The Yelp reviewer "Sindy" who left Sandy a one-star review (please don't confuse her with Sandy) started texting about ten minutes before her appointment to let Sandy know she was there. Mind you, Sandy has on a rubber gloves and a face mask at this time and is very busy focusing on my lady parts, and not her phone (I had been running a few minutes behind, and Sandy was hurrying to finish my treatment). In the few minutes it took her to finish me up and head out to address this client while I dressed, "Sindy" had knocked several times on the door and sent no less than FIVE separate texts, the last at 3:17 (her appointment was at 3:15) stating that, if Sandy didn't respond, she was leaving. Sandy walked out to the front porch, and I could hear "Sindy" immediately begin to raise her voice at her, telling her how she needs to run her business differently, answer her texts, etc. Sandy calmly explained that she had a client getting dressed and she'd get her in as soon as the room was sanitized and re-set for her. This was not good enough for "Sindy". She continued to berate Sandy until Sandy finally told her that she thought they had better just cancel the appointment as they obviously were not going to "click" as aesthetician /client. Sandy kept her head and addressed the matter in a professional way. She could easily have snapped back at this person who obviously wasn't going to use her services anyway, but she didn't. As a small business owner myself, I can tell you that I also wouldn't want a client such as that in my office, and I think that she received the result she deserved from her behavior.

As I left, I had to move around piles of dirt and debris that one of the gentlemen who worked there swept into the pathway. Gross. Not going back.
