The quality of your hair service truly depends on who is doing your hair. I won't mention names here but you should know they have all different people working in your hair. Anyway, the first time I went was for a color refresh only, and a blow out. (My color is ridiculously easy. It's just a dark brown with ash in it. If my hair wasn't so thick and I had access to professional dye, I could do it myself.) So - first time I got it colored and no cut. It came out just fine but it was a little pricey IMO. But it was fine. Second time I went, I also scheduled a cut and style. First, the color was left in a little too long. My hair was fine but my scalp was irritated for like a week afterwards. Secondly, my haircut was alll F'd up. I didn't ask for any stylist in particular so they put me with 'The Weirdest Man on the Planet.' Ok, I thought, maybe he is artsy but honestly - I have no clue. More like an escaped prison convict. My hair was very long and I asked for about 2 inches taken off and long layers. Well he did not cut length and did not section my hair for the cut. He spent about 10 - 15 minutes putting product in my hair and moving my head around and recombing my hair over and over. Then he spent about an hour cutting extremely pointy layers in my hair. He blew it out and honestly I thought it looked good until I came home and realized the back of my head looked like someone ran a lawnmower over it. It was like an uber long feather cut mullet. I left Lure after spending over $400 and looked like I tried to cut my hair myself for free. I went to another salon to have it evened out (at least 3 inches taken off) but it's still doesn't look good. Very uneven layers. Luckily my hair WAS long so that I'm able to save it. All in all, I now have dropped over $500 on my hair and could have gone to Ulta for better results for like $100. Sorry, but I won't be back. read more

When I tell you this place is amazing, It is. I'm not hard to please, but sometimes hair salons really don't know how to get the style right, or they don't seem to know what they're doing. However, at this place, I felt great about my first time. The interior was nice, but most importantly the staff. The staff are friendly, talkative, and understanding. They also know what they're doing, and make sure you are satisfied. If one specific stylist doesn't cut hair just yet, they ask someone who does to cut yours, making sure that you're pleased with the professionalism. Overall, it was amazing! I arrived early since I was a new client and sat in their waiting area. Fifteen minutes goes by and the salon calls my cell phone, wondering where I was! I told them that I was here and apparently someone forgot to "check" me in. Not a good first impression. My stylist was okay... not a lot of experience. She didn't do anything special, just cleaned up my previous cut. The worst thing about this salon was the awful music playing. It was too loud and just not a relaxing environment at all. Have gone twice to lure and been disappointed both times. If you enjoy going to get your haircut I would not recommend. Felt very forgotten about to the point where I was concerned the color had been in my hair too long. The color itself is fine, not very even around the root but the stylist could not have cared less anyway. I went in Friday for a color who I've previously gotten my hair done by. She did seem to be in a rush because of a mishap with scheduling but I figured it would be fine to still come. I was getting my hair bleached when I felt something get into my eye and didn't think much of it. It started to sting but I really was hoping it wasn't the bleach until I sat in the chair and saw how red my eye was. Again didnt want to panic so I dealt with the pain until I got home and realized how red and irritated my eye became. I went to carenow and they told me it was a chemical burn from the bleach. I have to go to an ophthalmologist and deal with this now, annoyed more than anything. Definitely won't be back though. Update: The owner reached out to me and was very kind and offered a refund. I appreciate her reaching out and making the situation right. I was in a very unfortunate situation that is very unlikely to happen again. Really appreciate the owner being so kind to me. read more

Highlights: Went and saw Ashley for some highlights and came out beaming! She listened to my concerns, showed me pictures, corrected botched balayage highlights, had gentle hands, was friendly, and gave me a great blow out after. I'm posting pics since I have coarse, curly, processed hair and was amazed with what she was able to do with it. Take a look yourselves. Haircut: Toya defintely knows how to cut curly hair.  I waited to write this review since I wanted to style my hair myself to see if the layers fell gracefully worn curly or styled, and by all means she did not disappoint. Toya gave me a great wash with the most gentle hands and massage, followed by beautiful layers which she cut dry to see how my hair fell which resulted in curls that gave my hair life.  Shes also very sweet, always smiling and I hope to see her again for a follow up since it's hard to find someone that knows how to cut my difficult hair. read more

I've normally had great experiences with this salon. I used to see one of the colorists who was phenomenal but would just get a haircut by whoever was available. That's my mistake. Yesterday, I asked my stylist for a long shag with curtain bangs to shake things up post quarantine. We agreed to take off 3 inches, which would put it a little longer than collar bone. I could tell throughout the haircut that it wasn't looking like she intended so she just kept going shorter and shorter to correct her cuts. At the time, I was so shocked to say anything other than lie and hope I'd eventually convince myself that I really like it. I don't. My hair barely touched my shoulders. I look like Alice freaking Cullen. I haven't stopped crying since my hair cut. Now, I have to get thousands of dollars worth of extensions to fix her mistake. So, if anyone has a recommendation for that, let me know. I literally have been wearing a hat and ponytail since then because I look horrendous and am so ashamed. Be sure to book your cut and color at same time is my recommendation. I accidentally booked online just a color and I naively thought they could do my cut at the same time. I booked an appointment with Jenie after hearing great things from my friend. I am very happy with how my balayage turned out! It was my first time having hair bleached, so I was a little nervous. Jenie was very upfront about what she could achieve based on my hair type and asked about my price range so she could recommend services within the range. The whole process only took a little over 2 hours and my hair turned to a nice dark ashy blonde. The best part is, my hair isn't super damaged afterwards! To be honest, it feels better than most times when I used box dye on my hair and my hair wasn't even as light at time. Would highly Jenie recommend if you also have dark fine asian hair! The online booking system is extremely unreliable, as both my friend and I had to call in to set an appointment (even if you request online chances are it's not in their system). Another downside is that you won't get an immediate confirmation like other places but till 3 days prior to the appointment. read more

I was a first time client yesterday, and without saying it was by far my favorite hair salon experience in Dallas. Vanessa made miracles happen for my hair compared to the mess I came with and I couldn't be more thankful! Her helper was knowledgeable and very helpful as well. I was lucky enough to get a hair cut by Taylor and she really framed my face perfectly with all the pretty layers she added to my hair. I will be coming here permanently now. This is a great salon if you want to feel pampered, but I was very disappointed in my haircut: 1) the price shown online does not match what they charged. At no point was I ever told that certain stylists cost a different amount. When I told the front desk, the answer was "oh yeah we've had some people with similar problems" - so why hasn't that been fixed? 2) on yelp it said you could get a free treatment - it wasn't free. (Edit: yes I told the salon) And the treatment was only left in my hair for about 3 minutes. And I felt like I didn't really get to choose which treatment I wanted but at the time I didn't care because yelp told me it was free, go figure. 3) my haircut was a far cry from what I wanted in a bad way, and is not a good look for my face and body shape. See pics. I asked for a shoulder length choppy cut and got a straight edge bob - no not a lob, a literal chin length bob. It's not inherently a bad cut, but just not for me and not what I wanted. I spent about 30 mins trying to convince myself that maybe the stylist knew what he was doing and it suits me better... but at the end of the day, that simply wasn't the case. Unfortunately because it's a lot shorter than what I envisioned, it's not like I can go back and get another cut. (Meanwhile on the way out reception tells you it looks cute so you feel less bad about not having gotten the cut you asked for and for the price you thought it'd be sis please.) While I had a pleasant experience visiting the salon, for me the results take precedence over all else. read more
