Yes and no. Yes: It's very cute inside, very welcoming, the staff is friendly and one of the few places I could find to do a child's mani pedi with regular polish instead of gel. They also do amazing nail designs. No: while my nail design was beautiful, the nails never touched my cuticles. They also started lifting very early. I took them off very easily (the easiest I've ever removed a full set) after 2 weeks bc they were all lifted. The salon I used to go to (& will go back to) had the opposite problem-- after 6 weeks, I still couldn't get them off! Pictured is the day I took them off; 12 days after getting them done. I paid $220 for my full set with a pedicure & her mani pedi. I expected higher quality considering the price. I was let down there. All in all, if you like changing your nails quickly or getting them done for an event then removing them and you don't like them touching your cuticles, this is the place for you! This is not my regular place, but a friend comes here and she wanted us to get pedicures together. She made appointments for us, so I don't have any personal experience with how simple it was. I opted for a regular, non- gel pedi. My pedicure was not as relaxing as the place I normally go to. Went here to get a full set& pedi... my feet soaked for a good 2 minutes & when the polish was applied she decided to only paint a section of the nail. Moving to the full set.. I showed her what I wanted my nails to look like (pink ombré & jeweled/sparkled up ring finger) The ombré was successful but again the painting of the whole nail didn't happen... neither did the sparkle finger. She also didn't see the need to paint the whole nail. I went it with hydrated hands & left extra dry & flakes everywhere. My sister, nephew and I went here for pedicures while we were in town. The chemical smell upon arrival can be overwhelming. The check-in staff were polite; however, my pedicure was done haphazardly and in a rush. My polish was applied hurriedly and my toenails are crooked (they were long enough, so length upon arrival was not an issue). My sisters pedicurist did an amazing job! My 14yo nephews pedicurist was okay, I told her what package he was having, as well as the polish he wanted and she stated that she understood. She promptly proceeded to inquire with him what package he wanted and then told him he was done without the polish. There is a large communication gap between client and worker, which can make the client feel out of place and uncomfortable. I love the concept of the business plan; however, the customer service and execution of services could use some work. read more

They are the worst nail salon in the Perry Hall area, especially for someone with disabilities and a service dog. I was denied access for a pedicure and manicure due to my license service dog being with me. I will be reporting them to the ADA and they will be getting a fine. If you have a service dog, I recommend not going to this location ever again or you will feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. read more

Not recommended, I made an appointment for 3 pedicures. They were timely, place looked nice and cleanly. However it took under 20 minutes for a deluxe pedicure, that cost $50. Child's pedicure was basically just painting nails, and a callus pedicure where I left with calluses. Zero massage, not even lotion. Chairs were confusing and no one could help using them. All 3 of us had super quick pedicures and no one told us when it was done, just got up and left. We were all left wondering if we were done (since we didn't receive lotion or massages) no one gave us a time frame or even said "let dry for ..". I ended up putting lotion on my own feet. Total was $130 for 3 (one was a 6 year old child) super quick, rushed, and in my mind uncompleted pedicures. Wont be returning. read more

I had heard good things and been recommended by a few people in the area. Made an appointment online for 12:30, and arrived at 12:30, the front seemed busy but the receptionist confirmed my appointment and service and had me sign in. I was then pushed out of the way by some clients who were paying and she attended to them. I was given no option to look at colors or told to wash my hands by the girl at the front desk. I stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before sitting down thinking she would get back to me after helping the clients. A few other people waiting and were called back to their stations within 5 minutes, in this time the front receptionist has not said a word to me since checking me in, despite maintaining conversation with other clients. I waited and waited for nearly 30 minutes as she rearranged nail polish bottles on a shelf, took phone calls, and checked in others for appointments (who were seated immediately). Every once in a while she would glance over but never say anything. At one point she talked to another employee and pointed at me while whispering. The whole experience was infuriating and finally after 35 minutes I left, without another word being said to me. I've gotten my nails done hundreds of times but moved to the area a while ago and haven't found a place. I needed a fill in from nails done on vacation, I wasn't asking for elaborate or extensive service. Front desk 101, communicate to the client, all she had to say was "There's nobody available to do your fill-in, can you wait or do you want to come back?" I felt absolutely embarrassed, ignored, and humiliated by this girl. People kept looking at me and one client even gave me a sympathetic smile. I went to Blush on Wednesday for an acrylic gel fill with Esther. She was the least personable nail tech I've had in the 10 years I've been getting my nails done. She didn't say hello or greet me, just asked me to pick a color and didn't speak to me the entire rest of the appointment, barely acknowledging me when I did speak to her. When it came time to checkout, she swiped my card, handed me my receipt, and walked away. No goodbye, see you next time, no thank you. And this was my first time going to Blush. Horrible first impression. Now, it's Friday (2 days later) and one of my nails is chipped and I have to go back to get it fixed tomorrow. Don't know if I'll be returning to Blush after this, but if I do, I definitely won't be going to Esther. read more

I want to start by saying I have loved blush. I've especially loved dealing with Cathy in particular I've even referred my sister. But this past month blush has treated me unimaginable. I canceled 1 appointment the day of because my entire family caught the flu. At that time it was never explained to me if I have to cancel another appointment I could no longer be a customer at blush. After I got over the flu I went to my appointments regularly with Cathy up until today. I was called yesterday by the receptionist and while I'm getting ready to put my dog down who broke his back unexpectedly and i told her no I need to cancel I'm traumatized of course she proceeds to tell me how I can no longer be a customer. I went to this place to get my nails done for a graduation. I got a gel manicure and a normal polish pedicure. The prices were fairly reasonable and the place was very clean. It was also very nice and welcoming. The nail tech did good on both my mani and pedi and was nice for the most part. But, she did comment on how my toenails were uneven which confused on why she would tell me this. Now, this is where it gets worse. THE NEXT DAY, my gel mani peels off. My pedi also came off. I called back and told the person on the phone about the situation and they were very kind and scheduled a appointment for me. When i came for my appointment, i had the same nail person as the before. She knew what happened but was already working with someone else. She was telling the lady what happened right infront of me! Very rude! She was questioning if i peeled them off, which I didn't. I knew she was talking about me to the other workers as well because they were looking at me. My manicure faded because of sunscreen while on vacation (didn't realize that was a thing). Now I know to ask for a sunscreen topcoat to keep this from happening again. Johnny and his team however stand by their work and fixed my nails free of charge. My new manicure lasted 3 weeks as promised and I can't wait to go back in for my next one this week!! I was a walk- in for an eyebrow waxing 10$. Menu price for whole face 20$ was much less tha Ulta's Benefit Beauty Bar, and only 10$ more than eyebrows alone. So I had the full face waxing the waxer was friendly the wax was great. At check out my tab was almost twice what the menu price stated. The waxer gave me services I did not request I had to go across the street to get more money. When I came back in to pay I complained again a different check out person let me pay just the first quoted price. This was my second time going to Blush. The first time going was several years ago, I got a regular gel manicure and the polish peeled off within the first few days. My normal place was booked and I needed a fill. I scheduled an appointment at the Joppa Road location. The bar that you sit at to get a manicure is super cluttered. You're basically bumping elbows with the person next to you. The guy that did my nails name was Bill. He was super rushed, cut my fingers several times while removing my old gel polish. I got a light nude color so I would think 3 coats would have been applied to make sure no spots were missed. He didn't put down a base coat then went on to apply 2 coats very quickly. As I was sitting there with my hand in the machine he kept jamming my hand further in so my nails kept hitting the back and there are small indents on my nail. I asked to keep my same shape of oval and he filed them down and made some crooked/lopsided. You can still see some of my old color under this nail color. They are very spotty in areas where not enough polish was used. There are small pieces of fuzz under some of them as well. It took him a total of 25 mins from start to end which is the fastest manicure I've ever received. I called and expressed my frustrations and they said I could come back in and they would fix them but I scheduled the appointment because I was going out of town and didn't have time later in the week. This was super unprofessional, I will never go back and will tell people to stay away from this place as well. read more

I received a Manicure/Pedicure from this place and from start to finish the service was awful. The woman doing my nails nicked my nail beds with the nail buffer on four different fingers and they all bled profusely, as she cut my nails down she accidentally cut my skin on my finger too, rushed through my dip manicure and acted like nothing was wrong as my fingers got bloody and swollen. It is a day later and all my fingers are swollen and in pain. Would NOT recommend this place. read more

I really like Blush! I have been multiple times gotten manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow waxings. I had one rough experience with dip here but every other visit is always great! Awful! I went here with a wedding party on a Thursday night and received a gel manicure. By Sunday, they were peeling and chipping. I've gotten gel manicures before and they at least last me 2 weeks. Nails have never lasted long but went today as it the closet place.. the young nail tech tech with the pet spider has quite the attitude and I took today to let her know that her attitudes sucks and she's damm lucky I was nice and didn't straight throat punch her!!! I went to the Joppa Road location a few times for gel dip manicures and was mostly pleased. Last Thursday, though, they had a wait, so I drove up the street to the Belair Road location. The nail tech was very pleasant, but that was about the extent of the positives. She asked me if I wanted my nails cut down. I firmly but politely said, "no thank you, I like them long". She replied she was going to cut a "tiny" bit to even them out. Again, I said, "ok, but I want to leave them long". A half hour later and she had filed my nails so many times during the gel dip process that she took off 90% of my nail length and left me with very short nails. On top of that, her work around the edges of my nails beds was sloppy. In some areas there are jagged edges. In other areas, she went over the side of my nail bed and cover my cuticles with the dip powder. She filed the side of my thumb nails so much that my real nail is growing out from under the gel dip. She only did 2 dips, even though every other nail tech has done 3-4 dips. And FIVE DAYS later, the gel dip on 2 of the nails has cracked (this has NEVER happened to me). For $40+ dollars, this is just unacceptable. read more

5 stars for the nail technicians. 1 star for the "owner" and front desk receptionist. The blonde at the front was rude and berating to staff and condescending that our bridal party wasn't all together even though we said multiple times we didn't care about being together. She went back and told the owner that they had no "common sense" who proceeded to come out and yell at them some more. All the while I told the woman multiple times that it was not a big deal. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with our nail techs the whole time and felt terrible that they had been yelled at in front of us for no reason at all. at the end, the front desk lady asked everyone for payment while 3 of my friends still were nail deep in dip powder which meant I had to go find their credit cards and pay for them. All so she could leave the salon as soon as we all had paid. I made it known to the staff at the end that I was disappointed in her behavior and the owner not once came up to us to say a word. I say "owner" but I think he's the manager at the other Blush who I've also heard negative things about. Whoever he is, I would never want to work under him. They are lucky they still have amazing nail techs working there. if I ever see that lady at the front desk again, I will walk my butt right back out. read more

I had a very ruff week for the past few weeks so I made an appointment to have my pedicure done at Blush II. I stopped at Friendly's to get me a Sundae because I was very stressed out and just wanted my toes done and to relax and eat my ice cream. There are no signs there that says no eating or drinking so I thought I was safe. As I sat and waited and watched other patrons being taken back to the pedicure stations they were greeted very nicely and not hollered at. When the man came to speak to me he yelled " you want pedicure" I looked at him like ah YES! so he walked away and each coworker he passed by looked at me and my ice cream because he was saying something to him. Now I've patronized them since they were all at the first Blush on Ebenezer rd and I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. Their job wasn't to judge me for eating ice cream because no one knows what anyone is going through but the body language displayed to me was very disrespectful and darn right rude. After the 6th person turned around and looked at me got up and left. Funny thing is people don't know who speaks what languages or understands their language so they should be careful how they treat people. People are multilingual and one isn't careful they can have a healthy lawsuit bought against them. Rude, Disrespectful, Unprofessional!!! I will never patronize Blush I or II again. read more
