I received a Nift card and wanted to use it to explore the local businesses around town; sometimes, it can be easy to just forgo the awesome places in town when you're so close to bigger cities! I am so glad I found Blush Spa -- they are now my go-to place for facials and pampering. I forgot exactly which facial I got -- it was supposed to treat acne -- but it was amazing. Lexie was very professional and it was fairly typical spa experience. She got some information about my skin needs, I changed into the towel and got under the covers, and the facial was amazing. The extractions didn't hurt at all and the neck, arm, and leg massages were such a nice touch! Afterwards, Lexie gave me some advice about my skin; which was very helpful. I enjoyed that she didn't push me towards specific products, but was just informative. Pro-Tip: You can tip via Venmo! I went to BLush Spa for a much needed facial and Arlene didn't disappoint! Arlene is friendly and knowledgeable. She first diagnosed my skin and explained what type of treatment would be best. From there she offered me three different aroma therapies to pick from (loved having a choice!) and then we began. In addition to the obvious face treatment during the facial, Arlene also gives a you a 'mini massage', which was quite the pleasant surprise! The massage included legs, feet, arms, hand, neck/shoulders and head. My face feels great! Soft, hydrated & refreshed! I can't wait to go back for another facial. The location itself is easy to find (right off of Moody Street) and I had no issues finding a parking space. All the products used at BLush are Aveda. The spa itself is bright, clean & modern. I have gone to Blush Spa several times for lash lifts The lash lifts are so good - a fairly inexpensive process that makes a big impact. My favorite thing about the spa is the advice I've gotten from Arlene about products. I have bought my fair share of beauty products over the years that make no difference, cost a lot and then get tossed. Arlene recommended an over the counter cream for a scar I had on my forehead and it totally worked - the scar is gone. She also recommended eye lash conditioner for my thinning eyelashes which also totally worked. After a few weeks my eyelashes look longer and fuller (or are back to normal I should say). The spa itself is clean, well decorated, and relaxing. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They do a great job with health and safety protocols too! read more

Got a lash lift for the first time with Arlene. I usually get extensions at other salons and wanted to give my lashes a break. Place is tiny but clean. Arlene was very professional and very fast. The lift itself is painless and not as time consuming as extensions. Supposed to last for 8 to 10 weeks. Much less money and maintenance as well. My lashes are more natural looking than extensions but it does look as if I curled them. I think I look more awake! Looking forward to seeing how my lashes look in a week. I went for a 60 minute facial with Arlene and thoroughly enjoyed it. The salon is very clean and she is extremely professional. The facial itself was perfect for my skin type and the foot, leg, arms, scalp and hand massage was a nice added treat! I also loved that I got a choice of aromatherapy! Not only she listened to my skin concerns, she also recommended a few home remedies that placed my skin at a better state. She wasn't trying to market the products in store either, unlike my experience with salon professionals in the past. Arlene was my wedding makeup artist. She is extremely passionate about her work and the result of her talent definitely becomes apparent as a picture says a thousand words (photo uploaded). I had a series of services leading up to my big day. Starting with a facial then waxing followed by a massage and a lash lift all in a month. The facial had my skin glowing. The deep tissue massage relieved me of build up knots from months of wedding planning. And with jaw dropping results from the lash lift, the treatment was a neat experience and easier than expected. I just laid down on the spa chair, eyes closed, relaxed and zen with the soothing music and aroma infuses into the air as Arlene worked her magic. My lashes so nicely that even without mascara they still stayed curled for months! On my wedding day, Arlene came with amazing energy and was fun, professional and skilled!! This is a gem tucked away on a side street off busy Moody St. with plenty of nearby parking. Arlene is a professional and super talented and knows how to make you feel comfortable in whatever service you choose. The salon is clean, bright and white where you want it and quiet, calm, and serene in the moments where you need some R&R. I had an amazing facial that was really more like a facial & massage in one. It was one surprise after the other that included a head massage followed by my arms, hands, legs and feet getting massaged! She was efficient and knew exactly what to do with helping me look my best and the girl knows how to make your brows look on point. I went to BLush for a back facial with Arlene. If I was rating this solely on the back facial I'd give five stars. It felt great! Unfortunately, there were other things that made me rate this lower. First, I got there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and such. So I was ready to go right at 2:00 - my appointment time. At about 2:10 I went in was asked if I'd ever had a facial. My response was 'yes but not a back facial' to which the response was 'you're here for a back facial?' About 10 minutes after that - because the bed needed to have the face rest attached, etc - the back facial finally began. The lights stayed on almost the whole time - even though my eyes were closed and in the head rest thing, it was still kinda bright. The bed was squeaky - not great for a relaxing back facial. And even though I could kinda hear the music from the waiting room, there was no music in my room. They did have really loud waves playing though, so that was okay. We ended promptly at 3pm - even though I'd booked a 60 minute session and we started 20 minutes late... All in all, the back facial itself was excellent - Arlene did a great job. It was everything else that was disappointing - but totally solvable. I'm not sure whether I'll go back. But if you go here, hopefully this post will prompt you to confirm your service when you arrive and ask for what you want for sound, lighting when you get in the room. Maybe if I'd done that it would have been a better experience. read more
