I went as a walk in to Sumans Salon for eyebrow threading. I can only say it was an okay experience, but won't return. I'm not sure who did my eyebrows, but it wasn't comfortable for a couple of reasons and the first one is literal - you have to kind of lean back, but there's actually no head rest. It's a regular chair. Sure, it's not for a huge amount of time, but really, it's not comfortable. Second of all, the person doing my threading was literally talking so loudly across the room to someone else over me while threading. The end result was just alright, but I did not feel like they was any kind of aesthetic involved in the final outcome. My eyebrows were made to look quite narrow all the way across. The 2 stars is for price and the fact that it was painless which I appreciate. read more

I've been going to Suman for eyebrow threading since before she opened up her own salon, and there's a reason! I've gone to other threading salons intermittently throughout the years, but none of them can compare to Suman. She does a great job of shaping my eyebrows, they almost look darker because of how well defined they are. Always leave feeling like a million bucks. One star off only because my mother and sister have sometimes have more of 4-star experience; I have very thick eyebrows however, and for a little clean up and shaping Suman can't be beat. Eyebrows are hit or miss. Depends on who is doing them, though Urvashi and Suman are usually good. Henna on hair is a huge no - you are better off going else where or even doing it yourself. I have a few greys that need some help in staying underground so I visited them today. Two and a half hours with henna on hair and a wash later, there is nothing to show. Except that it is even more frizzy, which Suman did alert me to. Maybe the henna wasnt pre-soaked in water, though I did call them two hours earlier and asked them if it was ok. They should have refused if they needed more time, which would have been a much better outcome. Oh btw, I paid ten dollars extra for washing my hour- Suman did not do a good job and there is dried henna on my scalp. A lot of it l, I understand no one can wash all of it at once. Stay away from henna application here! read more

I've been here a few times now. Sometimes it's a hit or miss. I loved it the first time I went but the second and third time was OK. I should have asked the name of the person who did my eyebrows the first time. I don't think I've gotten the same person since. The last 3 times I've went.. it was with this one lady. She is fine but she didn't sanitized her hands and she's quite rough which I don't mind but she did made me bleed on my right brow. Maybe my brow area is just really thin but yeah. I go here for eyebrow threading, try to stick with same person if I can. Had a few mistakes, especially recently with top of my brow was removed. It's an excellent alternative to waxing, but boyyy when that thread moves quickly so does your brows! Suman's also has hair & nails services which seems separate, those ladies are always busy! I would give 5 stars, but I was very disturbed at my last visit. While Suman cleaned her hands with antibacterial lotion and wore a mask, she did NOT clean the chair between clients when I was there. There was a person directly before me, and directly after me, and she did not sanitize the chair. That really bothered me a lot. Waltham is a HOT zone for Covid, so please sanitize that chair!! I went to get my eyebrows threaded because my regular brow girl moved to a new location that's too far. This salon is less expensive so I thought I would be saving money too. I regret everything. I spent the last 18 months of the pandemic painstakingly growing out whatever brow hairs I could. Resisting the urge to pluck so that I could slowly and patiently grow what I could. I just needed I cleanup. I communicated that I didn't want them too thin and she understood. She said "just a clean up". They are certainly clean (and to be fair, well shaped) but thinner than I have had them since middle school. I now have 90s brows. I should have stayed home. I am so upset. read more

Wow! Fabulous experience! DETAILS- 1. Salon is clean and decently sized. No special frills but that's what great about it. I'm to busy to have someone take 45 minutes to wax my eyebrows! 2.They accept walk in appointments. I went on a monday early afternoon and was taken right away. 3.The woman (I presume the owner) was great, she didn't chew my ear off with questions! She threaded my brows in under 7 minutes. The lady that did my brows never bothered asking what I wanted done, how I like them shaped etc. She just threaded away - making them thinner then they already are. Did not even bother to sanitize her hands prior of starting to thread my eyebrows. This is a NO GO since you handled cash when I walked into the salon. read more

Worst experience ever. Lady is rude, wanted to color my hair with the wrong shade. Also, she cut my face doing threading. After coloring, she told me that she doesn't know how to dry my hair. Requested me to go with the wet hair home and dry it there. read more

First and foremost Suman is wonderful. Polite and easy to talk to . She did a great job with my eyebrows.. What impressed me most is the cleanliness of the place. I got a 30 min facial which was relaxing. The room was great! Clean sheets and most of all clean robes to wear while getting a facial. I need frequent threading services and wanted to give them a try. The service provided by urvashi for waxing was great; however, at the last minute decided to do eyebrow threading. The eyebrow threading done by the owner was disappointing. She was inconsiderate to my request when I mentioned that I have sensitive skin and also did not do perform the threading completely. While paying, they charged me differently for the services that I did not do and when I said , you are overcharging me, they said that the price on the board is inaccurate. If the price is inaccurate, you should update the board so that your customers are aware of the pricing. Overall a rude service by the owner. read more
