We picked up our two brothers the week before Christmas. They had both been bathed and were handed to us fresh and fuzzy. They did pretty well in a crate on our 9 hour drive home and saw the vet the next day. Both were deemed to be in good shape and weighed in at about 12 pounds. It did take them a few days to adjust to the new environment and diet. We saw the vet for their next round of puppy vaccines today and they are both nearly 20 pounds and given a clean bill of health. They are growing rapidly and have been a blessing to our family. Based on other reviews we've read, we have personally chosen to do a home DNA and health test. Aside from this, we are very happy with our beautiful, friendly and smart boys. They have adjusted very well to our other dogs, our kids and everyone they've met. My parents and I purchased a tamaskan pup from this place back in 2008 that we named kalla . They drove down from Toronto, Canada to pick her up and all seemed well until she was 2 years old and got very very sick suddenly (& lost ability to move back legs) and had to be put down. The vets said it was most likely due to genetics and after looking into this "kennel" I realize that many other people have the same experiences of dogs dying at 2-4 years old. There is something seriously wrong with how these dogs are being bred. I purchased a puppy from Blustag in June, I received him from the airport in July. He was very, very sick. The amount of problems (bacteria, skin infection, and brochettes) he had was causing him to be very very lethargic and unable to gain weight. I had him at the vet the same day I picked him up from the airport, within 24 hours he was on 5 different types of medication. It has now been a month and a half since I received him and he still is having problems and I am continuously having to take him to the vet. I reached out to the Rare Breeds of America, and was told that Blustag is not a recognized breeder, they created TCA to have more legitimacy. I have tried contacting them several times and have only gotten one response, which was a 'we are so sorry he's sick' message. I will say that he is a very cute and happy puppy, his personality is great and he loves people. However, I would not suggest using this 'breeder' to purchase a Tamaskan. Please, do your research and find a legitimate breeder. read more

I have received a puppy from these guys and it showed up malnourished. Infested with worms, and sick. The first 2 weeks were battling to save my puppies life who I received to get special training as a service animal. The puppy obviously was not socialized with humans and would have nightmare every night. Still does. His behaviors made it clear that he won't ever be a service animal like I need. He did get training either way, but he is a home body. Communicating with Danielle, a respectable breeder would refund you. All she recommended was to pick a different puppy. I am extremely disappointed in these peoples lack of empathy and care for their animals. I do not recomend this breeder who is obviously a puppy mill after doing further research. read more

I've been doing research on the Tamaskan breed for about 8 years before i was able to talk my husband into getting one ourselves. We drove from Georgia to the kennel and thought it was a beautiful piece of land. We had to wait a bit to get our pup but that was miscommunication on our part. We met little Logan (formally known as Bandit) and he was so full of life. My husband commented that he looked a little skinny but I explained to him he has to fill out since he's still so young. Logan was a little nervous with us when we got him on Sunday 6/28. Our bond started with the 4.5 hour drive back home. He quickly bonded to 3 year old Lab, Marvel, so she helped make me a bit more comfortable with us. We took him to the vet the day after we got back, Monday, and the vet gave him a clean bill of health. They do not sell tamaskans. They lie. You look up what a tamaskan looks like right now on Google, then look at the dogs theys are saying are "tamaskans". These dogs are more pomeranian like. Small. Not only are they lieing about the breed, but I have seen many people say they dont take care of there dogs. And that's horible. And the lady I almost bought a dog from before I did my research was rude and not happy at all. I feel bad for the puppy's and feel they they need to get shut down. read more

They were formally known under a different name but after being outed for puppymilling and treating animals cruley as well as falsifying health records they were forced to change their name in hopes of saving themselves. Besides being an awful place to send your dog (reeks of urine and feces, and the dogs all have giardia and kennel cough). They still continue running a puppy mill. I have adopted two dogs from Kevin and Danielle. If you ever went to their facility you would be blown away by how nice and well maintained this facility is. My two kids, age 3 and 1 are extremely healthy, unbelievably beautiful and have the best depositions possible. My 3 year old had one of the top dog trainers in the country who lectures about her being the most intelligent canine he has worked with in over 30 years of training. They have both been used in national modeling campaigns. I wouldn't buy a dog without first visiting the kennel. I've been following this "company" for years. A few years back I first found out about Tamaskans and contacted Kevin to set up a meeting time so I could play with the puppies. I visited once again the next year, and the very next year my brother decided to buy a puppy. Now, for years I was under the impression that these two were dog lovers and ran an extremely well maintained place. When you visit the actual kennel, it looks nice. The first time we went, the puppies were kept in the garage in kennels. After the first year, they were out in a fence. They said they were making more improvements. Kevin always came off as a little uncaring to me. When my brother finally decided to purchase a dog, we thought we'd have an easy process and have a happy, healthy puppy. His puppy is the sweetest thing, and the end result is worth all of this trouble just by how wonderful she is- but we also do not know if her breed is actually true, as well as any underlying health problems she may have considering her health documents may have been forged. Now, at 6 months old, we took her to the vet to test her stool since she's had diarrhea ever since we bought her. It tested positive for Giardia. I am sickened that two people that claim to love dogs so much could allow such sicknesses to go through their kennel untouched. I did some more research and found that many other puppies have fallen ill from these people, and have even died. Now I am worried out of my mind that this sweet puppy may have some other issue with her all because of the poor quality of care Kevin and Danielle give. They have a very well run facade going on. I believed their lies for years. As soon as we actually bought a dog, we were well aware of just how uncaring Kevin and his daughter are. Kevin did not even remember the sex of the puppy we were picking up when we went to get her. He was short and rude to us. Save yourself some time and money and health issues and go to another Tamaskan breeder- where you can even be sure you're getting a Tamaskan. Don't support people like this who basically secretly run their own Puppy Mill. I'm beyond disgusted. read more

My wife and I just received our puppy from these folks, and I'd like to share our unhappy story. It started with us receiving our puppy, Diego, on Tuesday night August 25th from the airport. As soon as we saw the little guy in his crate at the ticket counter, we noticed how exhausted and small he was. In the car ride home, he puked twice. We attributed this to him being shocked from the plane ride and in a new environment away from his litter mates. At home, we tried feeding him and giving him water, but he wasn't interested. Since it was late, we put him to bed. The next day is when we noticed how bad of a state he was in, and were sorry we didn't notice the night before. In the morning, he was able to walk and be slightly alert, but wasn't eating or drinking. As the day wore on and our concern increased, we syringed water into his mouth. Shortly after, he puked it up with lots of blood. After this point his condition greatly plummeted. He was too tired to walk, couldn't keep water down, had gray gums, and was too uncomfortable to lay down (which we later learned from X-rays at the vet that he had a distended stomach with fluid in his abdomen - not in his stomach). Luckily, my wife had scheduled a vet visit for this little guy at 2 pm. This is approximately 18 hours after we received him from the airport. The vet instantly said that "You have a very, very sick dog". Tests revealed Diego was experiencing extreme dehydration, had coccidia, was having trouble breathing/getting oxygen due to the bloated stomach mentioned earlier, had fluids in his abdominal cavity that shouldn't be there, and was malnourished weighing in at only about 3 lbs at 8 weeks. The vet instantly told us that Diego most likely wouldn't live another day and would probably die sometime in the night. After the tests, he immediately recommended euthanasia. This was an outrage to me and my wife. Within 24 hours of us receiving our new helpless puppy, we are told to put him down. I found this to be an unacceptable outcome for the little guy and decided to give him a chance at life that he deserves. We ended up deciding on taking him home and doing everything we could to bring him back to health. I won't even mention the cost of the vet bill we will not be reimbursed. Luckily, my wife is a nurse, so we had access to means of keeping him subcutaneously hydrated for 24 hours. Throughout the night, the poor thing was unresponsive, and breathing at an incredible rate. We expected him to pass at any time, but he miraculously pulled through the night. Over the course of 3 days, we managed to keep him hydrated and slowly bring him back. As of now, he is able to drink on his own, and keep solids down. His vomit and feces are no longer bloody. Astonishingly, he is coming back. This is just something I want anyone reading to consider when buying a puppy from this company. UPDATE They have refunded us the cost of the dog in order to pay for some of the Vet bills. read more

My puppy had SEVERE social phobia of people, it took 3 years to potty train her because she was so terrified of going outside. When I picked her up from the airport she was terrified and wouldn't come out of the crate. She had a vet next day appointment and was undernourished, underweight, and within 1 month had severe health problems that needed emergency vet care. She pulled through and I love her dearly, but she has severe mental problems from the trauma Danielle and her father put her through in only the first 8 weeks. She is happy in our home and now is friendly with only about 8 people who have spent extensive time winning her heart over. This is a Puppy Mill, they have way too many dogs that are bred constantly. The animals are mistreated. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!!!!!! The more people who purchase from these two the more business they have and the more animals that get mistreated... Please for the sake of all of these animals go on the one year waiting list that other reputable breeders have, don't let many many many pups and dogs suffer because you do not want to wait a year or so. It's not fair. I was not informed when I got my puppy, I really hope you guys read this and don't support their business. They sent me videos of the puppies playing and were very nice and cordial, but its a lie, a well camouflaged lie. read more

I am not one to leave bad reviews, but i feel everyone even considering getting a ouooy from them should reconsider. I have adopted 2 tamaskan from them and I was absolutely blown away. The first puppy I adopted came to me with vet papers which later on I found out were fake. After 3 days of having the puppy i had to rush him to the vet. He was dieing from a severe infestation of worms. The vets even said the chances of him surviving is going to be slim. He was also 3 lbs. A 8 week old tamaskan should be 20 lbs. I am a dog trainer myself and noticed his behaviors were very strange. It took him 4 months to even attempt to approach me and my family. He would scream at night from night terrors (which is a huge issue that comes from puppy mill puppies) He was absolutely terrified of EVERYTHING. For a puppy, they should not be afraid of touch or toys. He was skittish about carpet even. He preferred cement due to assuming he saw nothing other than cement. He also came with a broken tail and was filthy. Despite the financial vet pit that i didnt expect to have I was not going to return him for a new puppy that Danielle requested. Now before i got onto my other puppy, i already had a down payment on her. I also didn't want to see the signs of them being a puppy mill and hoped the misfortune was 'just this puppy'. So onto the next puppy. So when we received the other puppy it was a complete disaster. I got a call last minute from danniel saying that she cannot ship the puppy due to a laceration on her neck. However instead of saying she cant ship her. She asked if it was ok to not to. So I told her send the puppy and I will handle the 'small laceration'. Since hinting that it wasn't a big deel nor was it that bad that she couldn't ship it. So me and my friend went to get this puppy that was not there. Waited for hours. When i called Danielle she explained the laceration was so bad that the puppy could not be shipped. Due to having a high velocity job, I wasn't able to just switch days off. So I was a little pissed. So I informed her 3 times on different occasions to ship the puppy under my friends name so she could pick her up. For one. She didn't. She shipped the puppy under my name and my friend was unable to take the puppy from the airport. So I had to leave work to get this puppy, costing my job. Also the paperwork for the puppy claimed it was a Shiva inu. Very suspicious. When we got the puppy home. We saw the laceration. It was from an imbedded collar. An IMBEDDED COLLAR!! So obviously their puppies are not checked or cared for like they should. She was also extremely underweight and when we fed her, she bloated so bad that we had to bring her to the vet. The vet was PISSED and called Danielle herself. That comes from lack of nutrition. Both puppies were not healthy. She was aswell super skittish and acted like she never got handled nor socialized with people. The puppy, same and my male pup, had extreme night terrors. They are bith 2 years old now. And STILL have night terrors. Training both of the puppies was a hard task aswell due to behaviors that come from puppy mills. Just leash training they both would scream in absolute terror. It sounded like they were being killed. Picking up the puppies even, same thing. Screaming in absolute terror. Just from picking them up. They both did not know how to play either. Not with toys. People. Other dogs. Nothing. All they knew was sitting in one spot and not moving. Puppy mill behaviors. So despite countless more struggles and expiriences i can talk about, I just have to warn. Please please please reconsider getting puppies from this breeder. They have many websites under different names and they also breed their dogs back to back on every heat cycle. They don't care for their dogs what so ever. There are many articles on them on how irresponsible breeders they are. Please do research and you will find countless. read more

DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM THIS "company"!!!! They are a puppy mill who breeds all the dogs with members of the same family creating serious issues with the dogs in the future. My family bought a dog from the owners about 4 years ago. We named her Maya and brought her home from Raleigh. Until about a month ago she was doing fine but the we started noticing problems. It started with some sniffling and we thought it was just allergies so we let it go for a little while. Then she started limping so we took her to the vet. We had to go on vacation after that and left her and our other dogs at home with the dog sitter. We let our sitter know about her walking difficulties and left for a week. When we got back she was doing worse than before. She started to fall when she was trying to get on and off the couch. we took her to the vet and got X rays and blood work but they couldn't find anything wrong. $500 later we still haven't figured out what is wrong with her but after reading some of the other reviews from this place i saw that lots of dogs were dying at 3-5 years old. My daughter is absolutely distraught and afraid that we are going to lose this dog and it is all because of the idiots who run this puppy mill. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Terrible customer service. I really wish I would have looked into all of the reviews because if you view ALL the reviews and look at their previous company name and their reviews there, you can see that this company is not all that great at what they do. My first problem began when I had to have the puppy shipped. I asked Danielle to confirm the shipping time and date before booking the flight. I had e-mailed her several times and asked her to book a flight early in the morning or late in the evening, since I received my puppy in July and knew it would be hot. They completely disregarded by request and booked the flight with no consent from me at the hottest time of the day between 10 and 3. How did they even know I would be able to make it to pick up the puppy? I spoke to Kevin and he continued to tell me I was "wrong" and I didn't know what I was talking about even though I found several alternate flights online and was willing to pay the extra. He began to threaten me saying that he would just cancel the transaction and direct me to another breeder after I had already put my deposit and picked this puppy and had my heart set on it for weeks. I ended up picking up my puppy at the time and date that they set in fear that they would not send me the puppy I paid for. Next, I receive the puppy and he seems very skinny and malnourished. I take him to the vet the day after I got him and he has multiple parasites (coccidia and giardia). So on top of paying a ton for the puppy, plus shipping, plus extra shipping cost, I also had to pay for the testing and medication for not only the puppy but also for my other dog because both are contagious. Also,I had to take a ton of time disinfecting his cage, the yard, the floors every day because giardia is contagious to humans. I sent Danielle the vet records and asked for some type of reimbursement (any type of reimbursement) for sending me an infected dog and she tells me to "re-read my guarantee" because those aren't covered. Obviously, they don't care about providing healthy dogs or helping to treat them. While my puppy is currently being treated, I'm cautious as to what else might pop up after reading these other reviews. I love my new puppy, but I would have preferred to get a dog from a company that cares about the dogs and about their customers. read more

I asked for information on puppies over the internet through their chatting service before finding out about all the legal problems they had where they made up faked health certificates to ship with puppies. Or about how they have been passing the same puppies off as both tamaskans and wolfhybrids on their websites. Some breeder, they never asked about what type of personality i wanted. Or what my needs were. Or what kind of home or yard I have, or how I'm gonna care for the puppy. They didn't ask anything like that... just asked if I wanted a boy or girl and when I could pay. Weird that any breeder that "cared so much" for the puppies they're selling wouldn't care to find out anything about where or to who they're sending a puppy. I looked more into them and WOW... the problems. I won't get mixed up with these people. The girl spends more time bragging on the net about all the money she makes off these dogs than she probably does taking care of them. The dad it seems can't keep the stories straight on the dogs since a bunch of people have wrong papers that they were sent for their puppies. I found and talked to a whole lot of current owners. Many have really serious health problems with their dogs because Blustag / Right Puppy Kennel never did any early testing on the parents! A BUNCH OF THESE DOGS ARE DYING BY AGE 3-5 FROM SERIOUS ISSUES LIKE EPILEPSY! There is just too much wrong with this business and I didn't feel comfortable talking to them.... its like they're running a classed up puppy mill. After dealing with these people and almost putting down a deposit online... I'm glad I didn't go through with it. Buyer beware indeed. read more
