Neither time did I make a reservation before coming here, since walkins are welcomed. One of the things that everyone heading to this barbershop should know is that they accept cash only. Cypress Barbershop is in a small shopping center, but there are more than enough parking spaces available at all times. When I visited, there were four barbers cutting hair each time. I waited at the most 10 minutes before getting my cut. On the wall behind the front counter is the price list for each type of haircuts. Mens haircuts are $18 and senior cuts are $15. This shop is kept clean. The same woman gave me a medium fade with a comb over both times. She took her time cutting my hair and was precise on how she wanted my hair to look. Nice job - both times.

The lady had to say something to the girl and the barber that she had an appointment and her son was next. I decided to make an appointment with Diane for the next morning. That way I can get in and out fast. They do charge an extra $5 for the appointment. I get there in the morning for my appointment, and that same girl up front tells me Diane just put someone in her chair and that she could assign me to another barber. Are you kidding me?

I have always had a hard time to find a barber that can my hair right. My left temple colic throws everyone off. Only a few have mastered it. The one who was perfect retired home to raise her little ones safe during these times. Several months of bad haircuts in the same shop left me searching. There are many Barbershops around me, but all lack the skill, style, and personal comfort I desired. I stumbled on Blvd 39 in route to the crummy haircut. I saw the banner flag on Beach just prior to Lampson in Stanton. I did the quick U-turn at the CVS. This small shop host 10-star talent. I walked in and was greeted by Samanthana, a beautiful red head ready to meet your needs. I told I need a #19 cut. She replied," was WTF is that?" "It is the photo on the wall in the barber who butchered my hair", I replied. She asked when, was my last cut. She performed the most perfect scissors cut by hand. Trimmed my ears and brows and took out a hair on my forehead I did not see! Samantha is the best Barber I have ever had! This place is where you need your cuts. read more

They've got great barbers that actually know what there doing and care to give you the best cut you want.
